Darn high winds tore the cover to shreds and I was sad but I still use it to hold some potted plants down! Oh how I would love a real green house Good luck finding yours. Gkids are so precious and such a blessing to us!
I am going to try the muffin recipe next week when 2 of my gdaughters are here for a couple days. We put on our Farmgirl aprons and some felt cowboy hats and my older gdaughter calls us the 'cooking cowgirls', lol! It's so fun to make even the simplest of memories with them!
I love, love what you did with the doors! Such a calm and pretty spot! It is made by an Amish man, but she didn't talk about the details in her blog post. But if it's something you're interested in, I'm sure you could contact her and ask. Hers looks expensive though! I would love a greenhouse someday! I have a little one and love working in there in the early spring. (I have used it for raising some little chickens, too!) You can really get a jump on growing seeds for the garden.
Oh! Your idea for the door you salvaged is just too sweet! I have seen something similar. A little garden shed made with four old doors (and a roof built on).
So many creative people and ideas out there. Can hardly wait to see what you come up with!
Blessings!
Oh ~ I have a very similar recipe for 6 week bran muffins. I shared it a long time ago on my Pantry blog! We have one of those too, and it's so big now that we're a little afraid to burn it. We will probably wait until winter when everything is covered in snow. I like that photo of the rocker and door in that little special alcove. That's a great idea!Cranberry Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10758563068581561194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6551696592048647882.post-88527617834387235992012-06-21T18:10:04.914-05:002012-06-21T18:10:04.914-05:00Hi Linda~do you happen to have any of those metal ...Hi Linda~do you happen to have any of those metal round corn cribs around? That is what we made my greenhouse out of and it is awesome. I can send you pics of it if you would like. Hubby just cut one side of the corn crib open and then set it on it's side. Now it is the shape of a greenhouse. We added doors on each end, and covered with two layers of greenhouse plastic and "voila"...a greenhouse!!! Let me know if you'd like the pix for ideas. wcgs@nntc.net
hugs, Sue K (woodcellar)Sue Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01645149488880616545noreply@blogger.com
