Jaely And The Farm

Hello sweets,

we have been on a mini road trip.....visiting coffeehouses......and learning more about owning a shop! Right as we left the farm we stopped at a restaurant.....this was in the parking place......sweeeeet!!!!! My husband was talking to the owner.......he had had this truck since 1955 and it was adorable!!!!! Asked if he wanted to sell.......no was the answer! Don't blame him a bit......he said it was his baby! He was a cute little man, that had taken care of his truck.......in my dreams!

We have our car full of gift items.......and we are getting to see the mountains......and my heart is full!  We will be so busy when we open the shop and now was the time to go.

While we were gone we had our precious adopted family watch the farm........look who loves Birch! Jaely's Momma took this pic so we could see Jaely working. She thinks she owns the farm. She runs from one end of it to the other.......with a kitten hanging from one arm......adorableness!!!!! She loves the Big Girl chicken house!!!!!!! She loves gathering the eggs........loves all the baby chicks when their Momma's hatch a new baby!

They will soon have their own farm........I think she is going to love it. Just had to share these pic's, thought they turned out adorable!

I will share more pic's later.........love the mountains........it's as close to home as I can get......thankful! My girl is loving it.......want to go back home to Alaska some day! I need to start saving my pennies......well maybe more then pennies!

Hugs and God bless!

Auction.......Old Ford Truck.......Dreamin'

Hello sweet ladies.....again!

Yesterday I went to a farmer's farm......he was working inside a shed and cleaning it out. I noticed these........

chairs sitting along the side of the shed.......doesn't hurt to ask right? Sold!!!!!!! To me.....aren't they adorable? I will strip them and repaint. They are in excellent condition, but the paint job needs redone! I really like old chairs better than knew ones. They are always more sturdy and better built it seems. I will use these in the children's section of the coffeehouse!

I am going to an auction!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for a month for this to happen. This kind of truck is one of my favorite kinds........is it adorable or what? I have always liked old trucks....a lot better than new ones. A friend of ours (who is a mechanic) said that for it's age it is in real good condition. Won't be hard to get it going....he says. Has a new engine that was put in 7 years ago.......ekkkkk!!!! I will bid........but only so high! We just had our 40th anniversary......some want diamonds.....I want a truck! Want to paint it a lighter turquoise color......with a Prairie Flower Farm decal that I could put on the side. Whatcha think? Cute? Think of all the flowers I can put in the back......drive around town and sell them! "A dreamer", as my daughter Tress calls me!!!!! Dreams do come true......hope this one does! I will let you know!

I know I have been so vague about the coffeehouse. I kind of feel like until we sign the papers we are still in waiting mode, but we are moving ahead. We have a date set.....but walking with the Lord in faith we leave that in His care. It has been a precious walk. Jesus has shown Himself over and over. It is wonderful to be able to completely intrust your life to Him........so with that.....keep praying if you would and we will keep you posted. The college kids are ready......we see them on the street.....church and the market! They are praying also!

Hugs and God bless your day!!!!!!

Enjoying the SUMMER.....and YOU?

Hi sweets!!!!!!!!

This looks like soup base to me!

God has been providing so much produce! It has been a full summer!!!!!! How about you? A lot has been going on...... pulling me in one direction and then another. I have so enjoyed my garden. Love going out in the early cool mornings. My tomatoes are really turning red fast.....like faster then I can keep up.....one day at a time...right? The garden is exploding.....all at the same time it seems. Anyone relate?   I will be canning the soup base we use for our winter soups, pastas, pizza sauce and salsa today or tomorrow. It was cool this morning when I went to pick......suppose to be hot again today. No rain in the forecast until Monday......oh how we need rain for our crops. The soybeans especially! Please pray with. Thank you!!!! All the farmers are in need.

Lately I have continued to work on products to sell in the fall. Trusting we will be buying the market, I want to be ready. I have been working on these little snow while it is 100 outside. I so enjoy drawing these little snowmen's faces. I just love to use my hands......does anyone have a favorite craft they enjoy doing?

I would love to hear from you!!!!!!! I know I haven't been blogging as much, but it would be nice to see who is still readying. Even if it is a little hello!

Blessings to each of you! God has been good....leading us each step of the way in our new adventure! Can't wait until all the meetings are over.....and we can sign on the dotted line. We just keep trusting.....a good place to be!

Hugs to your day,

Linda
