It All Makes A Difference Mommas!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning precious sweet ladies,

First off thank you so much for the encouragement yesterday on my blog and on my Prairie Flower Farm fb. It was such a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!  Truly it was. My emotions were shot by night time!!!!!! I watched. Flight Aware all day and evening long..........it was wonderful! I didn't even know this existed until now. Ladies if you have children or anyone you love for that mater, flying this is so good to know of.

We could watch the airplane as it was going from Chicago to the Ukraine. Amazing!

Also Time and Date is a mainstay on my computer. I know what time it is and the weather over where the kids are in Ukraine. Wonderful little tool.

Facebook has been good for our family during this time with Josh and Tonya being over in the Ukraine. Now with Tressa over there it will be wonderful. She loves taking pic's. All of us can keep up with what is going on and photo's shared in one place.

Skyping has been so much fun to see my kids!!!!!!

Here is a little of my journal for what is going on with the adoption of V:

One of the biggest blessings in my life was getting to stay home with all of my children! I have so many memories tucked in my heart and this morning when I read an email from my Tressy she reminded me of one. She flew by herself across the ocean..........did that go well with my soul? Not!!!!!!!!!! It was very hard for me, but I am still learning that thing called trust. God helped me big time!!!! In one of the emails she had this picture.

When my kids were little (as was done for me by my Momma), I would buy new bowls with decorations or artwork in the bottom. Then I would fill with whatever. Our children would have to eat everything that was in it to see what was at the bottom. Just one of those things handed down from one generation to another. Anyway she said the food wasn't good, but "there was a surprise under it". She said, "It made me think of you Mom". That made my heart smile! You never know the things you do that will stay in your child's life forever. I am counting the blessings ladies, this might seem like a small one..........but it is huge for me this morning. Asking the Father to bless my girl!

Josh and Tressa
So so grateful that she is safe on the other side!!!!!!!!

She is in Kiev with her brother and sister in love............finally! I tell you, having her travel by herself was a huge thing for me. I knew no matter what that God loves her with an everlasting love. I had to just trust and when I felt like I was loosing it again, I ran and jumped in HIS lap! No kidding. Sometimes the thoughts would just ambush me. It was good to have my Heavenly Father was right by my side and also know that He was by her side also.

Just thought I would give a little update as to how it is going. Thank you again for praying, I probably sound like a broken record, but I am so grateful to you all.

Hugs to your day and have a blessed SONday!

Hello Sweet Friends,

Talk about a last very stressful last two weeks! It has felt like a major roller coaster. Those of you who have gone through adoption processes know what I am talking about. We have seen God work through precious details that needed a touch from Him............we have watched Him move the mountains that have stood in the way...........and most of all we have learned Trust at a whole new level. Then throw in working outside the HOME............one word. Exhausted!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my, ladies who have done it for years...........how in the world have you done it? I just want my Home so bad and yet at the end of the day I say thank you Lord for loving us so and giving us a job together.

Went to our grandson's #72 football game last night. Have to put this pic up for him. He will love it and smile!!!!!!

One more day and my Tressy will be up in a jet on her way to Ukraine. Do I have to tell you Momma's that my heart is doing flip-flops!  I am so excited that she gets to go see V and Josh n Tonya, but then again there is part of me that I am having a little rough time! Smile. A Momma thing I guess. We covet your prayers. I know that so many of you have hung in with our family during this adventure and we are soooooo totally thankful for each of you and what you have invested in us!

Today at 8:30 please pray for one of the biggest meetings for J, T and V. Thank you so much. Things are going well and J and T have been shown favor in certain ways. I wish I could share everything, but I have to be careful. Takes all the fun out of this for sure, but I know that you are all understanding what goes on. I will soon be able to tell you everything!!!

Hugs to your day!!!!!!!!!!

Linda

Have I Got a Wonderful Cupcake for YOU!

How is life for you sweet ladies? Around here at Prairie Flower Farm I am enjoying being outside in the "coolness weather" a few hours each day!!!!!!!!! I have to say it is wonderful. I love putzzzzzzing around the farm after I get home since it is not so hot outside. It has been so nice and I hope we never have to go back up to one of those 100 days again this year. Smile!

J knows I like pictures of older ladies. He took this for me. She sits on a bench at the same time every day. Not sure why. Isn't she so precious. Wish I could meet her for real.

Heard from J and T. The weather is about the same in Ukraine as here. The meeting was canceled that was to be for today. They said it is okay, but it has been changed to Friday. If you wouldn't mind praying for them that the process would not be hindered in any way.

Our front room is a little messy! Tressa is PACKING FOR THE UKRAINE. We can not believe that she is almost ready to leave. It all seems like the time has gone so fast. Tressa is so excited about going on her trip. She bought a few packages of  those silly bands to hand out to the kids as little gifts.  T will be having her birthday over there so I need to make that a little special for her while she is there!

At the bakery we made these wonderful...............cupcakes. They are called. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes click on name for recipe. They are the most nummy cupcakes we have ever had.

They are not hard at all to make. We used frozen cookie dough for the center. Worked great and the kids absolutely loved them! There were a few kids that came and picked one up and then it traveled through the cafeteria about the news of new cupcakes. We had to keep the plates filled. Really good!

Well sweeties, thank you to all who linked up today! I so appreciate you!

Welcome New Followers..........you have been noticed by me!

Blessings to you..........praying for you all,

Linda

14th Building Our Homes Together with Jesus!

Hello sweet ladies,

Another Building Our Homes Together!!!!!!!!!! So glad we have Jesus!

As you may have noticed I haven't posted in a few days. LIFE has been happening big time! I know many of you know what I am talking about when life just seems to snowball on you. We had about 30 kid out Monday night from the college for a bon fire. We sat under the stars singing praise songs. Beautiful night. Talking about having a Bible Study with some of the girls. Can't wait to see what the Lord has for us! One of the young men that was leading in worship prayed, he also prayed for our Tressa. It was really a sweet time to think of all these kids standing in a circle around the camp fire, lifting prayers for her as she travels to another country! The kids from the college are so precious. Love them like our own!

I must say that J and T are doing well and have an important meeting today that they will be attending. Please pray for them if you wouldn't mind. They keep sending us pictures of our V and some videos. To hear our sweet V's voice is wonderful! Makes my heart swell. It is so good of the Lord to bless us with internet! Skype is wonderful also. It has helped us a lot.

Our Tressy will be leaving this weekend. Can't believe the time is almost here. She is getting all packed and ready to go. She has 60 packs of gum for V to hand out to the children that live in the orphanage. We will miss her deeply. We have never all been separated as a family this long, so it will be hard for sure, but we know that the Lord will use her as she goes. She has been asking Him. He will meet her.

Building our pantry................ a few jars at a time!

We have been having cooler weather and it has been wonderful. I put up 16 jars of salsa tonight and it was so nice that the kitchen wasn't so hot after I was done. The salsa will be great for the winter months. Putting them in the pantry! Also canned some chicken pot pie. I have never done it before but my Amish/Mennonite lady told me how. It looked a little darker in the jar.........I will tell you how it worked out.

Thank you in advance to all who sign up and all who signed up last Wednesday. Even though I don't always get to comment, because of time I love reading your posts. It has been so precious seeing how the Lord works in all of our HOMES for His Glory!

Due to time I am putting this up on Tuesday night.
Just know that I love you precious ladies, this last week as been a little hard on the family. I think because what we have going on that the battle has been a little raging. We will stand firm in the Lord. He is our deliver! God has been good through this all. Showing Himself faithful. Thank you so for the prayers.

Linda

Have a Wonderful SONday!

Good morning sweet ladies,

For some reason my post did not get put up yesterday.........hummm wonder why?

Ian and I worked all afternoon on the chicken coop on Saturday! Nice to get the job done. It was hot and then all of a sudden the wind changed and it was cold. Well 70's cold. It was wonderful. We have had almost 3 months of straight hot here in Kansas!

The kids talked with J and T this morning. It amazes me that we can be so far away and yet right on this little iPod you can see them clear as day.

I shot this picture this morning. When we went out to the corral to check the horses the sun was shining and very very cool outside. What a wonderful relief! It has truly been so very hot.  The wasps have been making a new home. Thought the sun coming in front of the Potter's Shed looked beautiful. The sun was shining just right on this little birdhouse that hangs on the side of the door when you enter the shed,  so I took this shot. My granddaughter Ellie said the pic reminded her of the verse so I put it on the picture. Thought it was sweet that she knew the verse. If you want to use it you are welcome.

Enjoy your Rest day! We will. Thank you again for praying for our family. We so appreciate it. Things are going well. God is answering prayers. Thank you for being understanding........ that we can't talk yet. God is good. Being so merciful to our family at this time.

Hugs to your day! I'll be praying for you,

Linda

Life is Good!

Good morning precious sweet ladies!!!!!!!!

I am HOME.........thanking my Jesus for SATURDAYS AND SONDAYS!!!!!!!!!!

It is good to get back with you. It has been very stressful at the work place preparing and learning new things and then the adoption process that was going on with our family this last week. We are keeping things real low key here on my blog for a little time.  I will be able to tell more, but we are walking careful. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I can say though please please keep praying, don't quit. The Lord has been wonderful in helping J and T in the process. They are learning much. We got a really neat picture from them today. They said that they have seen some weddings and they took a picture of this. Thought you might find it interesting.

These are locks with the bride and grooms names written on them. They lock it to the bridge and throw away the key. Thought it was a neat symbol. Marriage forever. I like!

They sent us this picture of the market place. Ellie (J and T's daughter, my granddaughter) and I didn't think the dried shrimp looked to good. They say that the countryside is beautiful. I am thankful that they are taking pictures for us. To see what they are living right now. Everything looks very different but looks some like Kansas they said. We Skyped this morning and that was wonderful to see their faces. If you have never tried this it is amazing. Go to the site and see what you can do across the miles. Life is good ladies, wish I could share all of the things, but I am keeping a journal and will share when all is said and done! I will say God is so faithful and so in the details. We can always see Him if and when we are looking for HIM! We are doing just that! He is growing our family from our usual life thinking.  I love Him so!

Thank you for helping us pray.........as I have said before......you are some PRECIOUS LADIES!

Blessings to your day........I will be working on the chicken coop today cleaning, that I wanted to get done a few weeks back and also around the refuge cabin. We are having a bonfire this weekend for the kids from the college. Please pray that we can be an encouragement to them and also encourage them in their walk. Love them for sure!

Love you sweet ladies so much! You make my days so much more blessed!

GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH........IF You needed reminded~
