It Snowed!

Hello sweet ladies..........

We knew that we were going to get snow...........and did get 5". We watched through the kitchen windows as the huge flakes fell. It was so beautiful.

This morning was really slick as we drove on our way to work. We had to be so careful, because we live way out in the country and early in the morning there are not many people to help us, if we went off in the ditch. It is very cold here in Kansas........getting colder the rest of the week they say. We drove by our friend's farm and they had their "Mark John" tree (they planted it when their son was little) all lit up with colorful CHRISTmas lights. I talked to Gail later today and she said they left the lights on all night so they would be on for the snow. The lights greeted us this morning as we turned the corner. Love snow and CHRISTmas lights.....together!!!!!!

Today Tressa went outside for me (while I was at work)....... I asked her to take pictures around the farm for. Thought you might like to see......I thought she did a beautiful job~

Lots of big beautiful snowflakes falling on the farm.............."beautimus" in my book!

Simple Beauty

Isn't this just so pretty? Tumbleweed!!!!!!!!

The farms windmill.

Juneau our pretty horse.

Shelby walked all around in the snow. She loved it. She won't let us catch her so she is out of the coop all the time. Wish we could catch her........we have tried.

Click the picture and you can see her beautiful feathers.

Sophie's first time in the snow...........she liked.

My favorite pic of Sophie...........it was a beautiful day in the snow!

Do you have snow.........rain.......or sunshine? Ladies over seas........what is your weather like
?
Just wondering.............hugs!

May the Lord bless you and yours!

Welcome new followers.........you have been noticed.......by me!
Linda

  1. Hi Linda
Your snow pictures are just beautiful & I love the sound of Christmas lights with snow.
We are having a rainy day today (as is most of eastern Australia by the sounds of it). It's a lovely drizzle here, but talking to Mum & Dad up in Brisbane it's very heavy there.
I hope you enjoy your snowy days - we only get to visit the snow once a year, but we always love it!
    Have a wonderful day
    Renata:)

  3. Hi dear friend,
I think eastern Kansas is getting what you are...just a few hours later. Our snow looks so similar! Beautiful...and the best news...we were out of school today and will be out again tomorrow...YIPPEE! I love my job but love being home more I think! I got so much done today. Cook and baked and loved it! Can't wait till tomorrow. Be careful heading in to work and drive slow and careful. How are your new hours working out? Praying for all to be well.
    Love and blessings,
    Tanya

  6. Your snow pictures are simply beautiful :) Shelby does have beautiful feathers. We have over two inches of snow and it is still coming down. We also have a chicken loose in it. Her name is Chocolate Chicken. My husband just walked around to see if he could find where she was roosting. He didn't find her. Maybe we will be able to catch her tomorrow. Sophie is a sweet kitty. Two of our cats saw snow for the first time this winter. Sagwa was batting at it. It was funny. I hope you have a nice week.

  8. Tressa's snow pictures are beautimous, indeed! I love Shelby's feathers. I could just look at the patterns in chicken feathers for a very long time - seriously! They are so unique and beautiful. We have snow also (you sent it our way.. ha!). Hubby and I had a slick trip back from his doctor visit today, but we made it fine. Just slow! Have a wonderful remainder of the week! Blessings to you and your family! Oh, yes, and I love your Sophie kitty too! Tammy

  9. I love your pictures of Sophie!I also have cats, love them! And so jealous of your snow :)

We (Israel) have only two seasons a year, a dry season from April till October (around 100F) and a wet season from October till April. But so far we have an extreme dry "wet" season (3 days of rain) and it has rained only a quarter of what we need in the wet season to fill up our drink water basins for the summer and to water the crops. Veggie prices have already risen due to the bad (as in dry warm) winter. I bought a new winter coat half a year ago and have no even worn it once.

  10. Hello Linda,

Where we live in the southern part of New South Wales, Australia it is raining gently, but last night up in Queensland (northern part of Australia's eastern coast) they had what they called an inland tsunami which washed away cars and homes. So far 9 people have lost their lives and 66 missing. Inches and inches of rain fell in a few hours and small creeks became raging torrents.People were rescued from the roofs of houses, out of trees and cars that were stuck in trees etc. We are all in shock. On the other side of Australia near Perth there is a major fire which was lit by an arsonist blazing. Several homes have been lost and many livestock have burned to death. Australia needs prayer this evening. So many people suffering. Sorry to sound so gloomy but it's a sad time for us tonight. Keep safe as you travel in the snow.

    Blessings Gail

  12. Oh Linda...what beautiful pictures Tressa took...she is a good little photographer..smile.. Those chickens are amazing and love the kitty!!

Today...Tuesday..we are having some wind which is blowing the 14 plus inches of snow we got over the last two days all around. And it's cold..cold...cold and to get worse as the days goes by.

We continue to pray for your family and hope you continue to travel safe to and from work!

    Blessings...
    xoxo Gert

Snowing giant flakes here tonight and burning vanilla frosting candles...getting supper going, waiting for bread to rise, trying to talk my 11 year old daughter into baking a cake this evening to celebrate being in and cozy on a blizzardy night...any excuse is a good excuse :).....keep warm Linda and we LOVE your farm critters...Blessings, Becky J.
