Memorial Day and Family

Hello sweet ladies,

I know that today many will be remembering their love ones who are not with anymore....... as you go to the cemetery. We will be going also and putting flowers on the graves of our loved ones. Bittersweet for all. I just spent some time praying for all who read my blog. I know for some it will be a hard day of remembering. Remember that God is close to the broken hearted. Isaiah 61:1. Trust that that will give you some comfort.

If you make these you are in for a treat.............I am not kidding!

We call them

and they are!!!!!!!!!!! Your family will love you...........MORE! Not really.........smile.

Today we will be having family coming out to the farm. It will be a peaceful day........kids running around.......not sure if fishing is on the agenda.........but we will be baking these yummy cupcakes for sure.......for them to taste. I don't remember if I have put up this recipe or not..........it is the best. It might look hard, but it is not. Promise. Try it and tell me if they are not going to be your favorite.

I will also be out in my garden getting some much needed planting done. It has been to cold around here to get my seeds in like I wanted so just waited for some warmth. Some of the garden is really doing well though. Can't wait for that first juicy tomato.  Today will be in the 90's.........that part I do not like. Know I will be thinking of and praying you will know that someone cares......MEEEEEE!

Praying for our grandbabies.......what will America look like when they are older?

Ladies please keep America and our Service men and woman in your prayers.........there is a battle raging in America for her freedom. It breaks my heart to see what is happening in our country. We have gone our own way and don't seem to need God anymore........may He never take His hand of protection off us. Also pray for the protection of Israel, they are God's chosen people.

God is speaking to Abraham. " I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
Genesis 12:2-3.

Enjoy your day..........getting this post up before my internet provider doesn't work.

Linda

  4. Happy Memorial Day, Linda. Thanks for the post; we have much to be thankful for and much to remember as we consider those who gave their lives for us. And yes, we must be praying for our nation for the sake of our grandchildren.

  5. I absolutely love your blog today Linda! Memorial Day is always so hard on my husband as he did two tours of Vietnam and also served in Korea. He was MIA behind the enemy lines for five days and he also lost many friends. I so wish I could make those cupcakes for us but we're both diabetics. :-( They look wonderful! Hope you have good luck with your garden. The weather certainly has been a problem this year hasn't it? Glad you finally got some rain. We've gotten way more than we need. We certainly must pray for our country and also for Israel. I just don't understand what's happening to our country and the people in it. I pray that it gets better and that we can keep God's blessings.

  6. Oh Linda...what a wonderful post. I just know you will enjoy your day with family around, warmth in the air and seeds to plant in your garden...smile... We too are having a warm day here in Iowa, but storms are on the horizon (with hail) so Tom has taken all our plants inside and pray we will be able to plant some of them later this week when the weather calms down...

I too pray for God's blessings over our people and around the world, that they "do not" loose faith in our God..

    Blessings...

  10. Praying about blogger and praying always for our military. I met Ken yesterday, came for a doctor appt. for his dad. He had on a hat and I asked where and when he served! Vietnam, victim of agent orange. Getting chemo next month. I said Ken may I pray for you? He got tears in his eyes and said please do. Please pray for Ken. He needs our love and prayers today and always. I told him if I had a hat on I would tip it in honor of him! I thanked him for his service. War breaks good people. I just never forget to pray. Thanks for the beautifu post Linda. Like me, I know you like to make folks smile. I am going to try the cupcakes! Baaaad for my waist! But yummy in my tummy! LOL! Love you farm momma! Anne
