Hello sweet ladies!!!!!!
Hi........I have been having such a sweet time working on my first Mug Rug ever!!!! It is coming along and now I am quilting little stitches. I could sit and do hand stitching forever~~I am hoping to finish it up today and then do the pattern.......it will be a Free e-pattern for those who want to download it. I will have the words coffee also instead of tea. I plan on doing more, but thought it would be fun for you if you haven't ever done one yourself. I will also have a kit available out of the same material!
We have V with us today.....he helped pull weeds this morning, so we could feed Willow, Twig and Leaf.......lots of God Chatter going on. Today he is memorizing..
Honor your Father and Mother. Then you will live a long full life in the land the Lord you God is giving you. Exodus 20:12.
For V that means a lot.....because he has been freed from a life in Ukraine. God rescued him........I am praying he will get it and live for Jesus instead of for himself. He is a teenager......with habits that are not pleasing to the Lord! Do I have a witness? He is so so precious though, but a sinner that needs instruction, just like his Grammie and Poppa. I asked him to pray for his breakfast......he prayed.......Father.....help me to obey Poppa and Grammie.......V didn't see my heart that was exploding with Joy.....but the Lord did. Please pray for him as he lives with our son's family. They need some extra prayers.....honeymoon of adoption is over........real living now! Worth it though. I want him to live a longgggg and happy life!
If you could have the Mug Rug......would you have tea or coffee?
Just wondering! Wink!
Hugs and prayers from the farm!
Linda
I like coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon along with my crochet at my side

What a darling mug mat! I love coffee in the morning! Right after my morning walk.
ReplyDeleteLove the sweet patterns you make! Hugs Melissa
Thank you Melissa.....I am having so much fun with it! I am excited to share this free e-pattern with you all! Hugs, me
DeleteI'd have tea! I love, love, love coffee but had to give it up because of the acid. I usually drink green chai, because it doesn't seem to bother me.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, didn't know that coffee did that. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!!!!!!! Hugs to your day!

That is a darling pattern. I would have "Tension Tamer" Tea on the mug rug. The recipe is on my blog. Also, my heart is right with you about V. I know from missionaries who have been working in China, the Ukraine and Romania that V's generation was raised totally by atheists and socialists. It's a hard beginning to go from that to Faith, Hope and Charity. But with the Lord, nothing is impossible. We keep praying and working....it's the best we can do. Smiles, Kathie in Odessa, WA
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathie, Glad you understand.....you can pray for him please. He is so so precious and he loves his new Momma and Daddy and understands what he has been rescued from. Just praying for his salvation.

Cute, cute pattern you've made for your mug rug!
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee or tea, but I adore a glass of delicious, icy water with lemons :)
I'm so glad that you can be there to be a positive influence on this young mans life.
Truly, with love, prayer and faith, all things are possible.
We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father !!
~~Blessings ..

Yes, you have a witness about teenagers! Praying that V will know Jesus personally soon. And I would have iced tea on my mug rug!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you can be a part of Vitality's life. It's an encouragement to parents to have the grandparents instructing in the Lord along side them, especially when you are teaching V to obey his parents.
ReplyDeleteI would have tea. I drink herbal teas and peach and raspberry, etc. Love your mug rug.
Tea for me! The only coffee I ever use is when I make chocolate frosting like my mom did by using a teaspoon or two instead of milk/cream. It is yummy and all other chocolate frosting just doesn't taste the same to me! Hope you'll be getting some of our rain as the storms move east out of Colorado.♥♫
ReplyDeleteI think some of the hardest things to do in life is to be 'patient' for God to do His work. This little boy will be and is already being blessed just by you and your example. He'll get it! I know it. Just give it time my sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteAlso...love your first mug rug. And good for you for 'designing' it. I just took up hand stitching 2 years ago too....and love it!
Coffee for me! Tho I live tea as well!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a lot in the witness dept!! Those years and the tween years are tough!
But God is right there alongside us, thankfully !!!!
Have 2 of my gkids this weekend too! : )

Lovely little stitching - you know just how to put all the elements together to make them just perfect! Do you hand quilt with a hoop or without? I'm just learning but know I will really enjoy it when i finally catch on.
ReplyDeleteBeen praying for V ever since I first read his story, and I'll keep on!
I've made a couple mug rugs. Love them! I stitched on mine, "Time for Tea just God and Me" and "Morning Coffee with God". I'm BOTH and Tea and Coffee girl.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Nancy

I think V has a new beginning, and is dealing with many different issues. Just reaching adolescence is so hard. With the patience you seem to exude, and the love of his new family, he will come around.

I'd like a tea mug rug. Don't drink coffee. Tried it didn't like it. Praying that V will get love from you guys and that he will eventually learn to love the Lord with all his heart, soul and strength. It's worth it to teach him. I'm sure it's hard for him at his age.
ReplyDeleteIf I had the mug rug I would drink mostly coffee, sometimes tea, and sometimes hot chocolate with whip cream or marshmallow!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Praying for V to give his whole heart to the Lord and his wonderful new family. What an awesome testimony to the goodness of God that that leads men to repentance...great job Grammie and Poppa!
ReplyDeleteV is so blessed. Gos has given him to your family for a very specific purpose. That young man is so loved and he knows it! He looks so happy and that smile! Melts a mothers heart!
