My vacation is over........it was such a sweet time to be home. Thanking Jesus for all He does for myself and family! Now it is time to go back to the college. It will be good to see everyone. I have missed my kids...I will be able to share Jesus.....that is the only thing that makes it worth it.....leaving my farm each day!
This is my "little" giveaway. Small little farm boot ornament. Nothing big......just sweet! You know I just love Parties!
The party ends Tuesday night at midnight central time so hurry and sign up!!!!!!
Thought I needed a party.......while I am gone at work today! This is an ornament. I have one and one to give away! If you win, it could be hung on a doorknob, a picket fence.....by your chicken coop.......I am sure you could find some sweet place to hang it. I want some real boots, just like these. Adorableness don't you think? I saw a real pair just like this. In the back of each boot there were two holes.....they had laced black with white polka dot ribbon through each hole and then tied it in a bow. Farmgirl attire!!!!!!
To enter......all you have to do is leave me message. Tell me what you might be planting in your garden this spring. I can hardly wait to start some seeds...love watching the little baby sprouts come up. Tomato seeds are on the top of my list! Okay....tell me what you might be doing to get ready for SPRING!
We have an abundance of eggs.....I asked ladies on my fb for ideas.......they had wonderful ones! Even though it has been very cold my girls are still laying. The new ones are still getting used to the coop. I so hope they start laying some day! We give our girls very warm water and lots of extra protein during the winter months. I am so grateful the Lord provides!
Hugs and may the Lord bless your day,
Linda
P.S. It will be fun to see who comes to the party!!!!!!
If you go to my facebook and leave a comment....come back and tell me and you will be entered two times!!!!!
I'd be making pickled eggs and quiche if I had an abundance of eggs. For spring? I want to finish a few projects and get them out of the way and then about the only thing I will be planting is tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking all the goodies for salsa (tomatoes, onions, peppers, cilantro). Pumpkins for my boys. Hmmm. This cold weather has me looking forward to spring. :)
ReplyDeleteI commented on your Facebook post too! :)
ReplyDeleteWe try each year to grow some tomatoes and sweet corn. So neat to watch Gods handy work as the grow. Thank you for a chance to receive these cute little red boots. Having a piece of your friendship in our home would be special.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to plant a garden last year, so I am hoping to get one this year. We want to try gardening in raised beds (Georgia has terrible soil!). Tomatoes, beans, hot and sweet peppers, and squash always make their way into my garden!
ReplyDeleteLove your boot ornament! It reminds me of the boots I put on each morning to go check on my girls...I'm sorry to report that 7 of them were killed by a mink last week, despite our best efforts to protect them. Eggs are slow coming since then. I can't wait for spring too....I'll definitely be planting squash, peppers, tomatoes and potatoes.
ReplyDeleteWe won't even be able to think about planting anything here until the end of May. Think most people who start plants from seeds here would do so in March or thereabouts. I haven't had good success with starting tomatoes, but this year we want to try and start some marigold plants.
ReplyDeleteWith eggs -- I'd be serving "breakfast for dinner" several nights per week if I had extra. Some of my favorite egg casserole recipes call for a dozen.
Thanks for the sweet giveaway!
I can't wait til spring....so tired of the cold...sigh. We will be planting our usual veggies like okra,lettuce,tomatoes...but we will also plant lots of flowers! I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteLove your blogs! I am anxious to get the veggie garden planted. I am planting a whole garden of coneflowers this Spring in all colors. And I have some boots just like that I wear. Have a good day! Debbie McMurry
ReplyDeleteWe always just grow tomatoes and peppers. Can't wait. Hugs to your day.
ReplyDeleteI also commented on your FB post. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI am going to plant some tomatoes that are almost black. Just for fun but I bet they are good.. SANDi.
ReplyDeleteWe always plant lots of tomatoes for juice, sauce etc. You are a very bright spot for me Linda, and a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI also left a comment on your FB.
We have such poor soil, we live in the woods of Northern Michigan, so my attempts at gardening are not usually very good. I tried hay bale gardening and it also failed........I think someone is trying to tell me that I did not get my father's green thumb! :) I do have a raspberry patch though. I love the ornament and appreciate you considering me as your winner. Have a wonderful day!!!! Did I mention we are currently in the deep freeze up here in Michigan!!!!
ReplyDeleteI will be leaving a comment on your FB page also...thanks again....Annie B from Michigan
ReplyDeleteGardening...Hmm. I'm not a very successful gardener, however, I DO admire others' gardening talents. And I have rose bushes that I enjoy carrying for, so I guess that counts! LOL
ReplyDeleteI also commented on FB :) Thanks for the "party"!
ReplyDeletewhat an adorable boot. I left a comment on FB. Have a blessed day. Spring garden - herbs, can't wait.
ReplyDeleteFirst let me say, I purchased those same little boots for my dil and she loved them, as that is what she wears is red boots. I wish I had bought me one. Gardening…this year my mil and I are going to plant peas and lots of them. We also have tomatoes, squash, peppers, and greens that we plant. We can and freeze our produce. Oh and now I am doing sweet potatoes, like you taught us on the blog. Yea! Thanks for entering my name in. I love your sweetness and blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! You are so sweet...I love this cute little ornament! I do have a spot to hang it in my office
ReplyDelete, yeah... I want Tom to plant some chives this year..along side his tomatoes and basil! I love using chives. Wonder if I could bucket plant them, so they would be just out my door!
I did leave a comment on FB!

ReplyDeleteThank you for inviting me to your party! I left you a msg on your FB page. I plan to plant sunflowers along the edge of our garden this summer. I love to see their happy faces looking up towards the sky. I heard it helps to feed the birds, therefore keeping them out of the garden. Have a great day! Love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteDrema
Cannot wait to plant my garden this spring!! I always plant lots of tomatoes as my granddaughters eat them like some kids eat candy!! We plant lots of cucumbers, onions, peppers and zucchini too!! I love to garden!!
ReplyDeleteI commented on the post on Facebook too!! Your ornaments are always so sweet!!
I commented on your Facebook page also.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about what to plant since I picked the last vegetables in the fall. I want more tomatoes( will have to add more calcium because of blossom end rot), green beans , corn, melons.
I am going to give a try a growing cut flowers to sell at our local farmers market--my brother and I sell their every weekend and started the market.
Hi Linda--glad you're going to back to the college to love on those kids! :) We're planning on putting in raised beds for our gardens here at our new place in OK. Once we have the plans for those in place I'll start deciding what we'll plant in them. I think we also have some moving around of things in our yard landscape-wise to do--looking forward to working in the yard again...blessings on your day :) Thanks for the opportunity to win the cute work boot ornaments! ((hug))
ReplyDeleteI am just wishing for warmer temps. Today is a balmy 9 degrees.
ReplyDeletei hope the winter 'vortex' is winding down...it's been so cold! i was pinning gardening ideas yesterday...wishful thinking, i suppose! this little boot reminds me of wet, muddyness of warmer weather ahead!! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI left a comment on your Facebook post too.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda!! Its hard for me to think about Spring right now, because I am loving the 15 or so inches of snow we receive in Indiana. I have had 2 snow days because of it and have spent the time organizing my sewing "area" and sewing. Not to mention blog hopping!! My goal this year is to get some spinach, potatoes and onions in the ground this year. We'll see. I did say hello to you on Facebook, but just had to come over and be inspired on your blog too!! Hugs to you!! Stay warm! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet Boots! Thank you for all your words of encouragement and love.
ReplyDeleteI said hi on fb and besides the tomatoes and beans I will also try to plant pumpkins again. Last time I tried the squash bugs killed them off :-( Have a beautiful day!!
ReplyDeleteWe plant tomatoes, green beans, peas, canteloupe, peppers, lima beans, and then more tomatoes! Thank you for this sweet giveaway.
ReplyDeleteclarksrfun at gmail dot com
How fun! We plant a lot come spring/summer. Onions, peas, corn, green beans, potatoes, carrots, lettuce and sometimes tomatoes! :)

I love your parties! Thank you for sharing a little SONshine with us daily. Such cute little boots! I plan on growing more potatoes this year, Yukon Gold & Reds. We didn't have near enough last year. More onions too....I canned some "cowboy candy" (pickled jalepeno, onion, carrot & garlic) last year and I think we need a lot more of that too ;-) Hugs & Blessing to you, Vicky W
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Spring planting - I always look forward to Spring! This year I hope to have lettuces, cucumbers, onions, zucchini, and tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI saw the post about the party first on Facebook and I posted a comment there too!
ReplyDeleteWe are in an incredible deep freeze... so I can't wait for warmer temperatures!! Love those sweet farm boots... remind me of my dad and his chickens and rabbits farm in our small backyard! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteMy garden plans are just starting to develop. I will definately be planting herbs, tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse. Out side, we will have red potatoes, zucchini, cabbage, carrots, peas, and onions. While my heart gardens on a large scale, my reality is small scale cardening. But, hey, a little gardening is better than no gardening, right!
ReplyDeleteAdorable ornament. I left a comment on Facebook also.
ReplyDeleteMy Facebook page is Sandi Allen.
I will be planting tomatoes, onions, carrots, peas, green beans, peppers, cucumbers, hoping my garden will do well this year. Hasn't done good in the last 2 years.

Love this ornament! So, so cute! Thanks so much for all the encouragement you give! I love to garden, and although our yard is small, I plan to plant lots of annuals and pamper my roses! HUGS to your day!
ReplyDeleteCute ornament. We plant cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers in our vegetable garden and I have a variety of flowers I enjoy plantings around the deck and front of the house. Flowers are my relaxing time!!
ReplyDeleteHi again, I left a note on your FB page also :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a garden but I would like to try a small herb garden indoors! Really cute boot ornament!
ReplyDeleteSusan L.
Love the mini boot! I have a real pair of red boots just like these. I "park" them next to the oak hall tree my husband made for me. I would hang the mini on one of the hooks, above the real boots.

These lil red boots are stinkin adorable! I want a real pair to wear when its raining! :) HOPING to redo our flower bed this Spring (with the help of my man)!!! I would LOVE to have a corner of it just for herbs! Rosemary, sage, thyme, cilantro....mmmm! Happy sigh!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! This spring I want to plant tomatoes and pumpkins. Everything tastes better home grown. :D
ReplyDeleteCommented on FB too. :)
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness...that ornament is sooo cute! I would love to be entered for a chance to win it :) Thank you for your generosity. I will definitely be planting tomatoes in my very small garden this year - tomatoes seem to be the only plant that thrives!
ReplyDeleteSmiles, DianeM
What a cute little ornament. I love it. I'm sorry your vacation is over but I know that you know you have a wonderful ministry where you are at the college. I also posted on facebook about the ornament.
ReplyDeleteShana M.
Love the ornament. I am SO looking forward to spring. I'm tired of this unusually cold weather we are having. I want to try your sweet potato idea this spring.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to come & visit you here now that I get your blog through email so I don't often comment (sorry about that). Well since spring is so far away for us I'll tell you about autumn. After another dismal summer of no water & scorching hot days that are killing my garden ( never mind the lambs that camped in our yard while we were away & ate the whole garden ~ I kid you not ~ I am very, very sad about it) anyway... I have realised that winter is the best time to garden here for our climate. My only sadness is that I can't put in all the summer veges, but I do grow the winter greens really well. This year I am intending to plant out the whole garden over winter rather than just a little patch.
Hope you are going well!
Blessings
Renata:)
I will be planting flowers for the purpose of attracting butterflies and songbirds. :) I love my flight friends! Contemplating watermelon, cantaloupe, and cucumbers...... But I just want the birds. Lol So. Flowers it will probably stay. ;)
ReplyDeletewill be planting flowers & tommy toes! that's about all the tomatoes I can get to grow here, too much late blight in the area. I receive you via email, and went to FB, commented and "liked" you there!
ReplyDeleteI always so enjoy getting your posts in my email You are a blessing! And I am in awe of all that you do for others. <3 Now, we just moved over 850 miles from So Cal to So Oregon. The fellow who built this place had an amazing garden and I have so much already set up. I need to learn about pruning raspberry bushes and grapes. I also need to trim the dead artichokes on those bushes and renovate the raised beds that need gopher protection laid down and more dirt/compost added to them and that's just the start! I will be working hard and having fun! God Bless ~ Barbara Wing Shadow Farm
ReplyDeletetomatoes of course!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda...the boot is adorable! In my garden this year I want to plant enough tomatoes so I can can them like my mom did and enlarge my raspberry patch considerably with plants from my parents house that were started decades ago. My mom passed away December 11, 2013..and I really want to continue doing things she did and pass it down to my children and grandchildren. Much love and blessings to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI am excited about my garden this year--garden catalogs have been coming in. I plant the regulars--corn, beans, tomatoes, squashes etc but will probably try something new just or fun.
ReplyDeleteI will plant tomatoes and some more perennials. We have had such bad luck with something eating our beans so no more. Sometime I'd like to try starting plants early inside, but we don't really have the time or space yet. It would be fun to have any early spring inside. Thank you for the give-away!
ReplyDeleteI commented on facebook too!
ReplyDeleteI want to plant veggies for salsa and more herbs and perennials. I think maybe it's time to start planning. I'm going to start my plants indoors with the Keurig cups. I hope it works. I also posted on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I want to grow some fresh herbs so we can eat healthy and light! I also love my Cosmos flowers. They withstand the elements so wonderfully and are very colorful! Nick arrived at OKC safely. Now if he would just call that they arrived safely at school! Hugs Anne
ReplyDeleteI want to grow squash in my garden. Never successful in the past.
ReplyDeleteHi again. Definitely maybe get John to start a veggie garden on back. Want some home grown tamaters! Love the red boot. :)
ReplyDeleteWe'll be planting a big garden like you. I hope this year our watermelons will do better. Maybe we'll have more time to make sure they're taken care of. I love the boots.
ReplyDeleteMarigolds, they do surprisingly well in the desert heat of the Mojave. I also will be planting an assortment of annual herbs. I'm hoping things come up by themselves as soon as the nights stay above 40 degrees.
ReplyDeleteWe're in Florida and we started tomatoes awhile back. They were a bit slow getting going but are almost ripe. I'm hoping the last few days of cold (for here) haven't done them in. I guess we didn't time them quite right, but it's hard because timing here is so different from most of the U.S. Once all chances of frost at night are over, I will probably do more tomatoes and some carrots. And some new flowers for in front of the front window.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I am just pouring over all the seed catalogs I ordered! So many things to choose from! I will definitely be planting tomatoes, and miniature white cucumbers, as well as adding to my blueberry plants. All container plants! Hoping this year will be a great growing year for everyone!
ReplyDeletecute ornament. I'm planting flowers

Hi, Linda - I've been dreaming of a pair of cowgirl boots, too! Let's see - to get ready for Springtime I am busy-as-a-bee with cleaning and organizing - good thing to do while I'm stuck inside with these frigid temps! Gonna hop over and leave a comment on your FB page, too!
ReplyDeleteThis Spring I am planting hope along with some herbs and flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour little ornament is very sweet. I did not use my raised beds this year but hope to next spring. I will plant zucchini and tomatoes for sure. I will have to think about what else. I don't have a huge space.
