We Are In The Girlhood Home Companion, With A Special Gift For You!

We are in The Girlhood Home Companion featuring our
Farmer's Market this summer.

I met Jill and her family almost a year ago. It was during a time, when our family was really crying out to the Lord for direction. I ended up sending Jill a note of thanks and from then on the rest is history. "His story" of how He can take two families miles apart and make something very beautiful. Their family has become very dear friends of ours over this past year. We started writing and doing special craft items for The Girlhood, which has been such a delight. Like a whole new adventure for my girls and myself. Our daughters have also written some articles for their delightful magazine. If you
flip through their magazine, you will see why we have enjoyed it so much.

Grandmother's, Momma', Daughter's and Granddaughters.

I so want you to meet my dear friend Jill Novak, publisher of The Girlhood Home Companion Magazine. Jill and her husband Robert have been married 30 years and are the parents of five precious children ranging in ages from 23 to 10. The Novaks live on a 200-acre farm in Northern Illinois where they enjoy country living to the fullest. A weathered sign nailed to the old implement shed on their property reads "Pebbly Brook Farm - Eggs" and it is from this peaceful setting that many of the images and illustrations that grace the pages of The Girlhood Home Companion originate. Jill is an author and avid nature journalist. She passionately records life's everyday moments while tending her garden or taking a jaunt through the forest or fields. Besides keeping numerous chickens and geese, the Novak family have two Nubian goats, a Jersey calf, four cats and a dog named Vesper. Psalm 84:5-7 is one of Jill's favorite Bible passages and one that she feels describes her life at Pebbly Brook Farm.

"How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,

In whose heart are the highways to Zion!

Passing through the valley of weeping they make it a spring;

The early rain also covers it with blessings.

They go from strength to strength,

Every one of them appears before God in Zion."

    Thank you for coming by to visit and for your sweet comments. The drafting a slipcover tutorial is an outside link (Sew Mama Sew) and I am glad that it helped you. I was very fortunate in finding the Mary Jane Butters book at a local Big Lots for an unbelievable price. You may want to look there yourself. My daughter and I hope to eventually get her Lifebook.
