Gift from my Sis!

You may not be able to read the little saying, but is says,

Dear One,
When it hurts to look back and you're scared to
look ahead, you can look beside you and your best
friend will be there.

Well, this morning my Tressy came to me and said, "Oh, I forgot to give this to you. Aunt Shanny told me to wait till she was gone and to give this lotion to you later." Hmmmm I am thinkin 3 months is later enough, what do you think? Smile. But you know I was thinking with this last week being a doozy, the gift was absolutely God's timing! I have been kind of worn out you could say and the lotion smells so nummy. Isn't it the little things that come along that give us that little boost? The gift was maybe a little late, but it ended up just at the right time! The lotion is called Planet Spa Himalayan Goji Berry Revitalizing Body Lotion from Avon.

I just want to tell you that after not talking to my Dad for days and thinking he was not going to make it this time, he talked to me yesterday. I came into ICU where he has been since last Friday and the first thing he said to me was, "I have been worried about you." Now isn't that a Daddy that loves you? He is not out of the woods yet, but he is stable and for that we are so grateful. My family thanks you so much for all the prayers and personal emails that so many of you have sent.

P.S. Shanny, when you read this post, thank you very much. I smell so lovely!!!! You are a sweetie. Jesus used you in a huge way this morning.

Father, thank you so much for answering my prayers. In Jesus Name, Amen

Blessings to you all,
Linda

  12. What a pleasant surprise the lotion became. God's timing is always perfect. It is hard to see people we love ailing and your father speaking to you again is a treasure.

(After not being able to leave a comment for weeks, I was pleasantly surprised when the comment form came up this evening.)

    Blessings and prayers.

  14. No coincidence we are meeting today dear Linda!
I know without a doubt our paths were meant to CROSS! PTL! FIRST;.. "I have decided that you and I are going to be friends.-- ... I warn you I am prepared to like you very much."- as Millie Warne said to Miss POTTER! lol ~
Reading your blog today made my heart do cartwheels reading about your special lotion, and God's timing. Funny because yesterday I blogged about my daily devotional and just this morning realized I was one day off, and yet yesterdays devotional fit perfect for yesterday, and going back to the one before that I had missed, fit perfectly for today! GOD'S TIMING AGAIN... He has this wonderful way of doing that doesnt' He!
Your blog is beautiful as is your HEART.
I loved seeing your valentines. I love OLDE PEOPLE! Which reminds me; I need to get around here. It's nursing home day!- I have Hospice today!
Blessings my NEW SWEET FRIEND... May your day be filled to overflowing!!!

  16. Hi ladies,
Gail, you are so right. I have seen the Lord in so many ways in the last days. He has let me know that He is right there. I really need that now. My days are filled with emotion! It is hard to watch someone with emphysema die. I am holding on to the Lord and He says I am in His clinched hand! I like that.

Sandy, I have been so busy with my Dad and haven't been able to be in with Claris.I can't wait either. She is such a blessing. Can't wait for you to all meet her! She is a sweetie! Thank you so much for the prayers.

Lori, I am so glad you got to leave me a comment. That is a blessing to me. Now others can come and see you!

Camille, Thank you for praying for peace for me. My girls and I are so emotional. Good we have our Mr. Phil. He was reading scripture to Poppa last night. It was precious. I could imagine the supernatural strength the Lord was giving Him as He was able to drink in the living Word! It was good.

Lea, I am so glad we have met. Your comment made my heart smile. I think you must have be an energizer bunny. Your happiness spilled over and made me wish I could have a Garden Party and have all my bloggie friends come over. Would that not just be the most fun? Everyone could bring a tent or cutie travel trailer and we could have a wonderful time eating scones, lemon curd and fresh whipped cream. Hmmmm nice thoughts are going through my head!

Blessings to you all! Know I do not take for granite your taking the time to write and encourage me. I sooooo appreciate your words. It has been very hard around here.
    Love you, Linda

  17. It's so inspiring to think that I had anything to do with you three girls "smelling up" that house of yours! All I can think of is poor Mr. Phil! Thank God that we all know well enough about the Lord's special timing. How many times does He show us over and over? I always get excited when that little lightbulb goes off and I recognize a gift for what it really is, a gift from our Father. Thank you Lord for letting me play a small part in the greater gift from you. Sending hugs your way sis.
