Counting Down The Days!

This is the cutest idea and it is working!!! Love it.

Pass the idea around and use my picture if you like.

Hello sweet ladies,

Thank you for writing on our story! I have been getting emails about how some are enjoying it so much!

Please don't forget to sign up for our Giveaway and please tell your friends! Scroll down please, if you would like to enter!

I worked late into the night last night on a new cookie and recipe. I want to show you soooo bad, but I can't. I am submitting it into a contest for a magazine called Create & Decorate. I just love this magazine, well I don't love it, I like it a lot! Some of you have probably seen it at the store. I don't have time to take a picture of my magazine at this time and they didn't have one I could use on my blog. If you click on the link above you can see it. Really nice.

They also have a blog, which I enjoy also. I set up this morning for the picture of the cookie and as I got out some of our decorations I got so excited thinking about CHRISTmas time! That is my favorite time of the year. I think of the best gift God gave us and that was His Son to save us from our sins! The smells of cooking, getting our tree, and one of my favorites is making gifts for my family. I will be showing some gift making ideas in the months before CHRISTmas, to give you some ideas. I will also be putting gifts into the Peace Creek Collection Store. We are trying to figure a way, that would make it easy if you would like a gift ever sent to someone from our place. I would wrap it (cute) and have a tag (cute) with your name on it. Just idea that is swimming in my head!

This is in my refrigerator. These pickles are ready to eat in hours after you make them. Recipe along the side! We have Micah at our house. I don't think one of my jars will be full anymore.............she keeps saying, "Aunt Linda these are the best pickles I have ever had".

Hope your day is going well. With only a few more days tell we leave our home and go work into the college cafeteria, I am a busy Momma. Bet you are also. Please know that you have been thought about a lot this morning and I am asking the Lord to bless your homes and you!

Please keep praying for me. My heart is wanting to stay home, my body says I have to go with my family and work outside the home. I am trusting for the grace that I will need for the weeks ahead. My Father will give it at the time and no sooner. I will wait............on Him. He does love me and my family so much. That I do know.

I had to go to the college the other day. TK is a young "Big" football player who is in the kitchen. I call him TKX. Little story behind that, but I don't have but a little time to write this. Anyway I asked him about his Momma. He said she died when he was in the 9th grade. My heart went out to him. I said....... okay I will be your loan Momma. He is black and I am white, we are now family. He said smiling, Yes mam. I love him already!!!! He is a gentle...man! I also asked him what kind of cookie his momma made for him when she was alive. He said, "Chocolate Chip Cookies, mam". So I told him that I would bake them on Monday and that when he saw them they were from his Momma. He said, with the biggest grin, Thank You Mam.

"God" use us to bless those kids......... He will.........I think that we will be the ones that get blessed though!

Hugs from the farm,

Love fridge pickles. I remember my dad when I think of them, as when he was alive I made a batch and took a jar down to him. He loved them so much..I believe he ate the whole jar in one setting:) Thanks for stirring those memories!

    Have a blessed weekend!

Thank you so much for the hint about the celery. I will be trying that because we have heaps of soup here at our house because the older folk love it and its so easy for them to eat. How kind of you to bake those cookies for for your young friend.I pray that you will be blessed for your kindness and that your work will not be a burden for you at all.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  7. Clearly, God sent you to be in TKx's life. How wonderful that you can help him have a little love from his Mama in Heaven. I teared up reading that story. Keep us posted on all your little baby duck football players--you're their new mama duck. :)
