The Lord Always Amazes Me! I am So Thankful I Am HIS!!

You are welcome to use this photo on your blog if you like.

Mr. Phil bought me this adorable bench..............I love it. The other night he moved it on the front lawn in just the right place............ we could watch the harvest moon come up. It was beautiful. I snuggled in a quilt right next.................and we talked and enjoyed the Cicada bugs and frogs making their noise of the night. I think I am appreciating time more...........I know God has many things for us to learn as He stretches our family into His image. As you all know sometimes that is right where you are supposed to be...........but if you are like me...........I wiggle! Smile! I am thankful He has me in His clinched fist. He knows best.

Good Morning sweet ladies from our FARM!

I am home and loving it this morning! I went outside in my NIGHTGOWN and looked around my farm. The sun is shining and it is very cool outside. What more could a Farm Girl want? It is kind of funny............ I am seeing everything with new eyes. The fact that I don't get to be home in the mornings makes the mornings very special when I am............ home.

I have to tell you about when I got home last night from work. I had to put in 2 1/2 hours of overtime so I was a little late coming home. I had a special time awaiting when I got home.

I have a precious granddaughter (all three of them are precious), that all she wanted for her birthday was to come to grammies and bring her best friend! Sooooo last night was the beginning of the celebration. Living on a farm there is so much to do. Poppa and I drove into the front lane and Savannah and her little friend Lauren were running down the lane to great us. That is a special feeling for a Grammie to tuck into her heart on the rainy days. Anyway they were talking a mile a minute on what they wanted to do. I got out of my work outfit, cleaned up and got ready for the day. Tay came to me and whispered that she had made her a birthday cake.

The girls went to the heart shaped shelf, I have hanging on the kitchen wall. I have our aprons hanging on the pegs and each picked the one that suited them. I tied the apron strings in the back and off we went to wander. They led the way........we were on an adventure.......I was sure that would take me from one part of the farm to the other. I was tired............from the long week...........but I would never miss this..................I was blessed...............first we...........

.....saw Miss Red she was waiting out at the back door to greet us. The girls each took a turn loving on her and of course Grammie had to take a picture of each. I love the first pic of my granddaughter.

We then went to the coop to gather eggs............watered all the girls and boys............fed the baby ducks and Mrs. Puddleduck...........also all the little chickies in the little milk barn..................now........ they are off to the garden to the sweet potato patch!

Simple Farm Life at it's best!

If you have ever grown sweet potatoes you need to know to look for the places where there is a little mound or where the straw is raised up like a little hill. Then you start digging. There were squeals ever time they found another little hill and under they would discover another beauty!

We were eating watermelon this morning.................... Lot's of God Chatter was going on. They both have decided that they want to live on a farm. I told them I would give them an acre of land.............wow.......would that be fun to have all my grandbabies live close..........by our farm............teehee a seed planted...........love it!!! The girls want to have a watermelon patch.............they picked one from the watermelon patch................we ate.........as they look at all the seeds in their watermelon halves................"we could have a huge watermelon patch they chimmed"...........dreamers like their Grammie................I love life on the farm. The Lord is so good to me...........I am so thankful for His mercy!

When I came back into the house Muffin came scooting through the back porch door. She went straight for my pantry shelf on the back porch right to the little cubby hole on the bottom shelf. I knew something was up! Just last night I told the little girls that I thought she would soon be having babies.................she did............for Savannah's birthday..............Lord you are so into DETAILS!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU! Look at this little ones ears................so fresh........so new...........so precious.............Thank you Lord for life!

Here is a video.

Now just when you think that farm life can't get much more.............exciting........................WRONG!!!!!!

The little girls came running in the house............all excited. They said that they just saw two little baby chicks..................in the BIG CHICKEN PEN. Yikes!!!!!! Daddy roosters are in the chicken pen................!!!!!!!! I ran out of the house so fast.............yes ..........at 58 I can still run..........really fast in cases of emergency.................... still in my nightgown.............barefoot.............. sure enough there was the Momma Chicken and two babies. One black and one yellow. I was scared to pick her up................but I did anyway.................right then the little ones went on the other side of the chicken wire................OH MAN..............I kept putting her close to them .............. she called them............the little girls got one each...............I had a chicken cage already set up...........because remember I let the other teenage chickens out of the pen the other day?

You can't see the golden one.............it is hiding...........but here is the black one..........allllll snugged with it's Momma. The girls have named the black one Princess and Goldie for the yellow one. Nice names I would say.................LIFE.......................MOMMA has a new name..........Miss Miracle!...............I like.................memories etched in their minds and hearts...........that our Creator is the best giver of gifts.

I know He is good! He gave us all you special Blogger friends!

WELCOME HOME PRAIRIE FLOWER!!!!!!! IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE
BACK HOME ALL DAY .............FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS!

I am learning appreciation. I thought I had it............guess not................have missed you all so MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

WELCOME ALL THE NEW FOLLOWERS..........I HAVE NOTICED!!!!!!

Hugs from the farm..........I love you all bunches!

  5. Dearest Linda ~ SUCH sweet girls to have over...such blessings! How fun that you had them eat that watermelon right out of the half with a spoon! Sweet! :)

You are a precious blessing to many Linda...you are always so encouraging and point us to the LORD.

I just wanted you to know I just "unsubscribed" to the emails. Not because I am rejecting you, but I do not read you in email anyway. I visit here. SO...just didn't want you to be sad. Because there is no reason to be...we are still friends. :)

    With Love,

  9. Let me try again :) I really like the bench...It's MY kind of garden decor. Your granddaughter is precious! I enjoyed seeing her -- and her friend.

I'm also "hearing" you about appreciating more what you have because of the time you have to be away...Rest up (the best you can.)

  10. Oh this is a great post. I'll tell you work was really difficult today and I'm TIRED...but I made it and I'm so thankful to God for that. The customers were really mean today...and that's part of the job, but it did tire me out. So I cam home and check my blog and I saw your post here and it just was the cherry on the sundae for me today :) :) ) Thank you!!!!

Oh my goodness...you had lots of fun and exciting things going on. I'm so glad that your could have your granddaughter and a friend over. How fun is that...and you had a chance to love on that little girl too :) :)

Oh, I love kittens...cats...and that video was just too precious. So teeny tiny....they can fit in the palm of your hand. Did Muffin just have one baby? Oh...thank God for precious babies :) :)...human and furry :) :) :)

Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

P.s. i'm to rest and recover from today, than I'll come back and read your post again :) :) :)

  11. I love the post Linda! I love all the beautiful images you use and that precious new kitten and chicks are so sweet. Your farm life is wonderful. I wish my husband had gotten some land from his grandparents earlier in our lives. It would have been a great experience living and growing food and watching the animals grow. But I do know the hard work involved. When my MIL passed away her brother told a story about a terrible accident he had and how their mom had my MIL run 2 miles to get their uncle. I think maybe my son Nick is a runner because he got it from his grandma! I enjoy visiting you LInda and I wish you well. God Bless everyone at your home. Anne

  13. Oh Linda, How cool, so many exciting things happening on your farm. Yes, God is so good.

Everyday is such a good day.

  14. Hi Becky......I love the bench too. It is really old and very sturdy! The girls and I sat on it today and just pretended the day away! We drank water with a lemon slice and a maraschino cherry....... we talked with an accent. One girl was from Paris and the other London. It was a memory maker for sure. Went down to the creek..........we thought they could swim.........to high...... so Poppa got sticks and they played Pooh Sticks.........with watermelon halves cleaned out on their heads. Silly girls. I got to rest some today. Will tomorrow also! Thank you for thinking of me!

Heather........so nice of you to come by on such a busy day. I am so sorry that people are mean. Turn it for good. you have their name. Pray blessing on them. Ask God to save them by His mercy! Then you will feel better!!!!!!! It is funny........when I have a telemarketer call I let them talk........then I ask them if they know Jesus and are saved. I have had some wonderful conversations. One kid was straying from the Lord. He said...........my mom must have been praying for you...... that you would tell me to come back to the Lord. His name was John. I did........tell him..........to come back...........I told him Jesus loved him so. Muffin had 3 by the days end. The girls were delighted!

Hey my Anne with and E! The little gold chicken got out on the side of the cage and was running all around with the teenagers. Scared me half to bits. I caught it. Couldn't believe that the others didn't bother it. Oh how I wish you could have received some land. I love living here. Thank you Anne......you are always so sweet to me.

Hello Cranberry Morning.......thank you! Do you not live on a farm anymore? That would make me sad.............
    Blessings and hugs ladies!

  15. HI Linda...I was just checking in here before going to watch some more tv...and oh, I loved your response...good words and made me laugh too :) :) So if any of my co-workers start talking about Jesus...I'll ask them if they talked to Linda Stubbs :) :) :) I am blessed to say that at least 50% of not more of the people I work with in my outbound sales department are all Christians...all different...but they all love Jesus :) :)...OH, but seriouusly...that's so cool!!! I couldn't do that at work...not with customers, because I am monitored 99% of the time..BUT if the customer asked me, well we are all about "Happiness Delivered"...and part of that is indulging the customer with some good conversation :) :) OH, I think I"m going to write a post about how to treat telemarketers. Oh, I don't mind the rejection...not one bit, but it's the really mean attitude...Oh, I'll definitely start praying for them...that's a great idea!!!!
I'm still thinking about that sweet baby kitty in the video you posted...How about "Onyx" or "Midnight" for a name? You MUST hold another naming contest to name this precious furry bundle!!!! I loved how Muffin licked her baby to get her clean :) :) She's already watching out for her babies!!!

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

p.s. May I also borrow the "Home is Where Your Heart Is.." photo? I love the words and the photo itself, especially with that watering can hanging on theh pegboard...very sweet!!!!

  16. Of course heather you can always use my photo's..........I don't care.........I love sharing! Oh by the way..........that is a flour sifter...........not a watering can..........you made me giggle!

Oh I know you couldn't talk to your customers..........but you sure can pray for the naughty ones!!!!!!

    Hugs me.......again!

  17. You are welcome to the chickens but I just adore that kitten.
Makes me sad I did not let my baby have one.
But being an inside cat it would have had to be a very arranged marriage and I am not sure I could have coped with the noise output......
But that is one cute kitten.

  18. Good morning Linda! I am so thankful the Lord blessed you with such a sweet weekend. He is so good to those that love Him. I am home with a sick baby this morning, so I was able to sit and read your sweet post. Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for all that He gives us. I know too often I take it for granted. But His word tells us that EVERY good and perfect gift is from our Father. May we always give Him the thanks.
