Sloppy Joes Taylor Style and A Few Other Things

Here is a few simple recipes for you! Hope you like. They are super easy to make up!

Taylor's Easy Sloppy Joe Recipe

1 lb. hamburger
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 tea. mustard
fresh crushed garlic
1/4 of a small chopped onion
1/2 tea. garlic salt
1/2 tea. seasoning salt
1 tea. worchestersyer sauce
1/4 cup water.

Cook hamburger and onion together in skillet. Add the rest of the ingredients to the mix and cook until warm.Butter hamburger buns on each side. Broil until golden brown. Spoon sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom hamburger bun. This might not sound good, but it really is delicious! Slice kosher dill pickles and place on top of the sloppy joe mixture. It really is good! Tell us what you think.

Home Grown Garlic Potatoes

Clean potatoes out in your garden with a bowl filled with water.
Fill saucepan with water. Cut potatoes into bite size pieces. Boil until tender. Remove
from the burner and drain off water. Add butter (it tastes the best) and one fresh
crushed garlic clove. Garlic salt to taste. It is so nummy!

I can't remember if I showed this to you, but I don't think I have. This is the moon and stars watermelon still growing. Isn't this a beautiful moon?

This morning as I was working on the post I put on the Daily Audio Bible as I was at my computer. I just turned it on and Ian my grandson who was sitting in the room said, "8 years old?" "He is younger then me and he is a King?" Ian is 9. The reading today was on King Josiah. I was able to turn it off for a minute and talk to him about this young boy who God raised up to be wonderful King who served the Lord at a young age. I have found raising our children that if you provide an atmosphere of learning around them, they will learn. We have always listened to Bible teaching on the radio and our kids always have had lots of questions as we have listened. Now that we are listening to the Daily Audio Bible every day we have been having lots of comments and questions! What a precious gift to this Grammie that my grandson is having the Word of God being poured into his little mind and he is listening. Love it!!!

I don't know if you have ever read this magazine called Hobby Farm Home, but it is one of my favorites. The Rag Rug article is wonderful!!!!!!
I want to try it. I have crocheted rag rugs, but never this kind. I have the tools to try it.

We have a huge decision in our life that is going on. I can't wait to tell you all about. So many have told me that you have prayed for jobs for us.

You are so PRECIOUS!!!!!!!

We thank you so much! Please if you would ask the Lord to continue to direct our family. God is so good and I know that He loves us so!!

I hope to tell you all very soon! Just please pray! Thank you so much.

Our daughter captured this gorgeous dragonfly when we were at camp. He looks like a little robot, don't you think?

I was reminded this morning that we are fearfully and wonderfully

made and so are BUGS!!!!!!!!!.

He is so AMAZING!!!!! GOD that is!!!

Hugs from the farm,

The sloppy joes look delish ~ I will have to give these a try soon! Haven't had Sloppy Joes in ages!
And I love garlic and potatoes! Yum yum!
Doesn't it just bless your heart when little ones show an interest in 'spiritual' things! We may not think they are paying any attention, but they really are. They are watching everything we do and say! What a responsibility that puts on us ~ to always model Jesus! The Bible is relevant to everyone ~ no matter what the age!
Love the little dragonfly! What a gorgeous color!
    Blessings!

  13. Hello Linda :)

Wow, Taylor's meal looks great! You go girl!

What a neat thing when children bring up the Lord and the Bible, a blessing indeed :) I think that parents can cchose to create whatver kind of atmosphere they want for their family. Listening or reading God's word and listening to praise music is a wonderful thing for families to surround themselves with.
I love Hobby Farm Home and was thinking about braiding a rug too! Of course this is something I have wanted to do for the past 20 years but haven't yet :)
Our Dragonflies are that same color blue and we have some that are an orangy-rust color, God's creation is so beautiful!

Linda, I am having a giveaway if you would like to pop by :)
    Have a blessed weekend!
