Another Snowman Grammie and Poppa Camp 2010

Hello.............sweet ladies,

What a whirl wind of the last few days............glad we had a bag ready for all the wrapping paper!!!!!!

To sum up our CHRISTmas in one picture........ our Grandson (who's family is hosting our orphan boy from over seas) wrote this and put it on Vitaliy.........sums it up wouldn't you say?

To: The Stubbs Family
From: Jesus

Love it. Children are so sensitive to matters like this. Pray for Vitaliy please. I showed him a nativity of Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus he said, in English.......baby JESUS. I was so excited. Tonight will be special.......we will get the translator on the internet and all the kids can talk to him......this weekend.............precious!

"He predestined us to be "adopted" as his sons
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—"
Ephesians 1:5

Poppa always reads the CHRISTmas story and prayed before we opened presents...........it is a must......because Jesus was our first gift!

I am cleaning a little to get ready for the GRAMMIE AND POPPA SNOWMAN PARTY CAMP. 10 grandchildren descending upon the farm..........this evening.........that means 10 sleeping bags.........10 pillows.......10 toothbrushes.........(?) deodorants (for me to keep track of some of the boys are 10. 11 and 12...need I say more)........girl's hair clips and rubberbands.......and the worst is 20 socks for each day............ 40 all together!!!!!!!!!!! Heehee.......I am not complaining here.....just giving you a "mind picture"! It is a total blast for this Grammie!

This is one of the presents we gave the Grandkids for CHRISTmas........... it is going to come in handy for our Snowman Party.........they will have ..........a Toolbox..........filled with all kinds of tools..........nail aprons..........everything you need for their fort. They started one on the farm this last summer. Also a video on how to build a fort. Measure Twice Cut Once It is a must, if you want to learn the easy way. I watched it the first night and it was like "I finally got it"!!!!!!!! I can help! You should have seen them open the present. It was to cute. As soon as it was opened on went the tool aprons!!!! Our grandchildren ages are 3,6,9,9,9,10.11,12,12,12." SPELLED WONDERFUL"! Vitaliy was so funny. He had tons of tools in his apron..........the children love him!!!!!!!!!!!!

I collect snowman items throughout the year..........especially when it is on sale.
Never pay very much!

Sooooooo I am cleaning a little to get ready for the GRAMMIE AND POPPA SNOWMAN PARTY CAMP. 10 grandchildren................. descending upon the farm..........this evening.........that means 10 sleeping bags.........10 pillows.......10 toothbrushes.........

Sooooo today we will be getting ready. I shot a few pictures for you to see what we bought..... in case you might want to ever have a Snowman Party. I buy each year after the sales........put it in our Snowman rubbermade container and I am ready for the next year!

I will show tomorrow or the next day the foods we had........we found some really fun recipes for the party!!!!!

Sometimes..........don't you just feel loved? Early in the holidays we received a big box...........and in the box there were presents for the myself and the girls.............also there were ornaments and figurines for the Snowman Party Camp. I have to tell you ...........my heart was blessed. The gift was from a sweet friend this year that follows my blog. WHAT FUN!

Then we received another unexpected gift........from another sweet friend. It had things also for the Snowman Party Camp.
I can't believe we have been so loved this last year. Thank you to all who pray..........encourage.......and just letting us know that you care!

We will be taking the children to the nursing home to see Momma. They will be making cards for the residents. The residents will love it......they always love it when they see all the children...........maybe we can sing some songs......now that is a happy thought!

Better get in gear...........the children will be here before I know it. If you have any kind of party could you please let us know and we will come and see it on your blog.

Wish we had some snow........to make snow ice cream............ but if we did we couldn't work on the fort.........so I will be happy...........but I still am a "wishin" for some snow.......... after the party!

We will be baking...........I will have a surprise for you............you will like!!!!!!! I just have to get this Snowman Party Camp behind me!!!!!!!

Welcome new followers..........you were noticed........by me!

HUGS!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Oh Linda Sweetie...
What a wonderful time. A Snowman Camp for the grandkids. I love it. I have 8 - we could probably take on all of them but the baby, and I don't think he would be fun.

I love all the snowman things you have collected over the year, and yes year end sales would be best and you probably can find a lot of neat things. I bet your grandkids look forward to this all year long.

I love it that PaPa reads the Christmas story. My husband does as well on Christmas Eve. That gets the mood set for the next day, and I believe truly the grands love to hear the story.

You and your hubbie are so thoughtful of the grands and I just know they are all so excited. I can't wait to see pics of the celebration.

What a blessing you are to your little orphan boy, Vitaily. I know he too has had a wonderful Christmas thanks to you all.

Many hugs sweetie for the New Year. Much love, Sherry

  6. Linda,
WOW!!! What a great time they're going to have at the Snowman Camp :) They are soooo loved! I don't know if I've mentioned this to you before but NEVER discount the influence you have in these little ones lives. I am living proof that Jesus can work through grandparents--my sweet Grandma led me to Him at her knee. Oh my, it brings tears to my eyes just thinking of your possibilities there. Will definitely be in prayer! ENJOY :)

  11. We always read the Christmas story too. This year we heard it twice; once at home for Christmas Eve morning (since we were traveling that day).. and the second time at my sisters house the next day on Christmas day.

Hello Sherry...............8? aren't grandchildren the best? The only sad thing is you have to give them back..........! Thank you for all the sweetness you wrote........I just want my little ones to love JESUS! Thank you also for the hugs!!!!!! I need them! Days can get hard down here on earth!

Connie.......how precious of your Grandmother.......made me tear also. Very very sweet! I loved my Grandma's but they didn't love the Lord. I want my babies to know HIM so much! They have parents that love and teach them also. Wonderful! I am a first generation Christian.....all my children love and walk with Him......trust and praying that my grandbabies will!

Hi Suzel..........we did have a fun time........I posted about it today! Love that you are from France..........and you visit me on my blog!!!!! IT makes it a smaller world!

Hi AMY! How fun that you would remember last years.........we have been following each other for some time!!!!!! They had another fun time this year also! They are getting older and love it more each year!

Hi Tanya........Momma was asleep when we got there. She fell asleep they said after she ate her dinner. She is so cute when you walk in. She is all snuggly with her nightgown and covers up around her. They said she ate really good again last night. She had lost some weight some time back.......now she is putting it back on. Love her......hope you had a special time with your Momma. She should be home by now?

Donna..........you are so sweet.......thinking of you! Can't wait for you to have grandbabies........they are just wonderful! Each is their own person!

Hello Peggy.....you can't hear it to many times can you? Everytime I do something else comes out for me to understand! It is wonderful!

Tammy hello.........I have it up now......they had a blast.........I was tired..........can't believe how quiet our home was after they left. My teenage girls couldn't either! Smile.
