Hugs To Your Day!

I love the "Tea Room"...........when you are there it's like going back in time.
I wish you could come.........we would serve you dinner.........with a fire going in aver very old wood burning kitchen stove going for warmth...........with only CHRISTmas lights and candles..........eating soup and cottage cheese rolls...........you would love it. If you are ever in our area around CHRISTmas time.....let us know! We would love to serve you dinner!
Wow that is one happy thought!

Good morning sweet ladies!

It is early in the morning..........it is just me and Jesus. My heart has been feeling like it is going to burst this last week. I feel like our family is going through uncharted waters..........to me it is amazing that one little orphan boy can come and turn your life upside down for the good.

Last night we went down to our friends. Two sisters who have never been married. but have had a heart for orphans, Rosa and Marian and their momma, Gramma Yoder They are Beechy, (Amish /Mennonite) and were put into our families life years ago. They adopted two little girls.......we have kind of been an aunt and uncle to the girls.........now the girls have grown up and have families. Anyway we went down to their farm like we do every year to decorate their "Tea Room." It is an old shed that we have worked on and fixed up, so their family and ours can use it for entertaining over the CHRISTmas Season. We fire up Gramma Yoder's old kitchen stove and the little room gets all toasty warm........... the atmosphere is incredible! Mr. Honey, Marian and I hung garland and lights.......attached bows and berries and had the most wonderful time. Rosa was in the house puttering in the kitchen with Grandma (who is 98) fixing us all supper. I loveeeeee sitting at Grandma Yoder's table. She is still in charge even though she is loosing some of her memory. She always asks honey to pray. It gets me every time! She is one of the most precious lady's in my life. Grandpa Yoder died some years back and Gramma can't wait to go see him in heaven. Anyway we had such a wonderful time with the "girls". Marian and I laugh so much when we are together and we both find ourselves in trouble with Gramma.

After dinner Mr. Honey and I we went to the Russian Publishing warehouse. I have to tell you though........ I never thought twice about our friends warehouse........and before last week I didn't think that much about orphans over seas much either. Oh I prayed for them.......but now I am experiencing one. We stepped into this warehouse of our friends. I looked around.......there were tracts........in Russian........books of every kind........written Russian........but ladies what hit me so hard........was the Word of God.............in a language I do not know............in RUSSIAN!!!!!!! For the first time I was in need of one to help our Vitaliy understand in his language. I looked at the Words.......and they meant nothing......oh I know they are the Holy Scriptures........but I couldn't read them. This CHRISTmas a little orphaned boy will read the Word of God, maybe for the first time.......I don't know..........but the most important book in the whole world the Bible has opportunity for the Holy Spirit to woo Vitaliy's heart. I have to tell you.......it has totally changed our family. I have never ever experienced anything like this. Vitaliy needs us......to tell him about Jesus.

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:14-15

The "going into all the world" is taking on new meaning for us. Last night Josh's family took Vitaliy to a reenactment of the CHRISTmas story. We have gone and it is like you are sitting there experiencing what it was like. Very powerful! I wonder what was going on in Vitaliy's mind? I do know one thing!!!!!!!!!!! God was loving on him!

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:18

This verse is for us also!

We have some workmen that have been working by our farm. They are taking the old electric poles down and putting new ones up. We have been baking sweets for them for the last 3 days. Pray that the CHRIST in CHRISTmas will stand out to them!

Hugs to you today............just know that you are very precious to me and I am asking the Lord
to bless your day.........real good! Linda

  5. Hugs to you too. I have been working on some special gifts that I thought you might like. I found a download that makes bingo cards, so I made a family bingo game with pictures of family members. I just finished making cousin go fish cards. Each cousin has two different pictures. I have thought about an old maid game too. but need to get some cleaning done. I am going to give a set to each of my girls families. I don't have a lot of money so have to be creative. I am planing to include the cookie book too. they love to cook with the kids. Love ya,
    Kitty

  6. Hi Linda,

I think I am able to comment once again!! Yea!

The tea room sounds wonderful! Gives me lots of ideas for one of the little out buildings.;) We are having a big pot of vegetable beef soup tonight with cornbread, but it isn't cooking on a wood stove.....I bet that would make it better!

That is so cool that you have Christian literature in Russian available for Vitaliy. I great blessing from the ONE who is into the details.

I am having a blessed time getting everything ready here for the family.....only I move much too slow.;) Have to take time to just enjoy, ya know?!

    Hugs,
    Cheryl
