Valentine Ideas

Hello sweet ladies,

I have been seeing some really sweet ideas on different blogs for Valentine gifts. So many of you have downloaded the Tea cozy that is located along my side bar. I was asked by The Old School House Magazine this last fall, if they could feature the tea cozy. I did up a picture....... but they ended up not using the pic. For the picture I did one in wool and one in cotton fabric. I thought I would show you what it looked like in cotton fabric. If you have not downloaded the tea cozy before............ it is real easy to do! This pattern makes up really fast. It can be slipped into a card and envelope to send to that special friend or slip into a cellophane bag with ribbon and tag tied on to the top. Easy gift!

Another simple idea is making Almond Bark Strawberries. You will need almond bark, pink food coloring and big strawberries. Melt bark in a microwave (be very careful to not over cook) or in a double-broiler. After it is melted........ add the food coloring. Put bark in a ziplock quart freezer bag or a squirt bottle Cut a small hole at one corner of the bag and decorate each strawberry. After the bark has hardened......... place on a decorative plate. Slip in to a cellophane bag. Tie with a ribbon and add a tag. Simple! We made these for a special occasion and they were a hit!

If you have a Valentine idea on your blog.........please let us know................and we will come and see.

Hugs from our farm..........to your HOME!

Linda

  18. These little tea bag cozies are so cute. I'm in the midst of trying to download the pattern. Seems as if it may be quite slow with dialup. I have a friend coming over to craft with me next week, and these cozies would be a fun project to work on together. Thanks for sharing! Love your blog.

    God bless,
    Mrs.T
