Blessed SONday.....and we have a winner!

Good morning dear sweet ladies,

NO INTERNET.........NOT UNTIL TUESDAY. Like I told you we have had very high winds here in Kansas and the tower to our internet provider went down. They have to order parts and that means we won't have internet up until Tuesday. Having a party has been a little tricky.........but I won't quit and here we are sitting in front of the college before church. Smile............I can't wait to tell you who won.

The winner of the

I've posted this giveaway on my blog!

Gert

You will have to go over and visit her blog.......don't forget to say hello. She won on her 4th try.

She has been a faithful follower for a very long time.........glad she was blessed.

Thank you to everyone that signed up.........welcome to

new followers (I have noticed),

subscribers

and also for all the wonderful comments on your gardens or going to Farmer's Markets.

I had pictures in my mind of your gardens...........small as some of you said or large as some of you told me about also. I loved hearing about what you were planting. Gave me some ideas about our own garden. Thank you.

You ladies make my day very special and please continue to drop comments when every you would like. I try very hard to get over to your blogs........sometimes it is very hard because of working outside the HOME. I do care though.......want you to know that.

I read this the other day.......thought I would pass it on. It must be a new translation of the Bible. I don't use them.........but I loved how easily it was to read. May the LORD bless HIS Word.

“let Me teach you thankfulness.  begin by acknowledging that everything – all your possessions and all that you are – belongs to Me.  the dawning of each new day is a GIFT from Me, not to be taken for granted.  the earth is vibrantly alive with My blessings, giving vivid testimony to My presence.  if you SLOW DOWN your pace of life, you can find me ANYWHERE.  some of My most precious children have been laid aside in sick  beds  or shut away in prisons.  others have voluntarily learned the discipline of spending time alone with Me.  the secret of being thankful is learning to see everything from My perspective.  My world is your classroom.  My word is a lamp to YOUR FEET and a light for your path.”
hebrews 12:28-29, psalm 119:105

This was written in reference to a young Momma named Joanne who had a stroke. She is walking now...........I wrote about her sometime back. God has done a miracle in her and her family. It has blessed my life watching the Lord do as only He can do.

I will write later about her when I have internet at home.

I love you sweet ladies...........you were on my lips this morning before the Father..........asking Him to make Himself real to you.............praying for those who are walking through trying times.

Hugs and may the Lord meet you today in a powerful way,

Linda

  2. Hi, Linda: I feel the same as Gert. You do make me feel better and your blog seems to always have the right scripture for me. What would we do without our Lord and Saviour and people like you. I love you, Linda! Mary

  5. Congratulations to Gert!

Linda, the quote here that you alluded to was so familiar to me. It seemed like something I had recently read, something which had really ministered to me. I checked back and sure enough, that quote is from a daily devotional book called "Jesus Calling". The book is written by Sarah Young. When she quotes Scripture, most of the references are from the NIV (they are labeled if she uses a different version). But each devotional thought is written as if it were God Himself speaking to the reader. That's why it sounds somewhat like Scripture. A friend recently gifted me with this book. The devotional thoughts are indeed beautiful written. I thought you would be interested in learning where this quote is from!

Thanks for your blog... it truly is a ministry to all the ladies who read it.

    God bless,
    Mrs.T
