Yesterday I got home and our internet service was off and not working. We have been having horrible high winds for the last week. The tower blew over they said and hope to get it up later today. Shingles are flying off our barn and buildings. Sad to see. When you live on a farm that is old.......and the weather comes to destroy what you have........it is hard to watch. Our little Refuge Cabin has been getting hit also..........ugh...........never seems to be enough money to repair.........I know that many of you know what I am talking about. When I got home the chickens were all out.....(that means they get into the garden).........the wind pushed the door open. It has been bad...........but others around the country have it a lot worse than us. I know that many of you are needing pray........if you have something specific......please tell us.........and we will pray. Just watching some of the news has been heartbreaking. Tornados are so scary. God will not leave those people.........please be praying for them.
I am in at the college so I can get an update on the giveaway..............THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING IN ON THE GIVEAWAY! I loved reading about what you garden plans were and if not........that you all go and support your local farmers and gardeners at the Farmer's Markets. That is so wonderful!
I will let you all know tomorrow after I get all the names calculated. We had a little over 250 entries total...........I can't wait to see who wins. I also received another Gooseberry Patch Cookbook in the mail yesterday to share with you all. I will have another party in a few weeks. Making an apron to go with that party. I can't wait to design and sew it up.
Hope when I get home that I have internet service!!!!!!!!
Hugs and thank you so much for joining in on the party...........I love....love....love your comments.......it's like getting to know you all just a little bit better. Feels like family.
God Bless you..............love you bunches,
Linda
If the Colorado snow ever decides it is Springtime here perhaps I can plant a few tomato and squash plants! My bare yard is sad! :( I need some real sunshine and lots of quiet rain. That is my prayer today as well as much prayer for all those hurt by these terrible storms. I am also praying for your family. You are wonderful and remarkable people making huge differences in so many lives. Love to you today and always! Anne
ReplyDeleteWe live in West TN and we are so fortunate that we did not get hit that hard this time. My heart is so heavy with sadness for the people in Alabama and Miss. I can not even imagine what they are going through, they all need our prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh my dear Linda...I'm so glad to hear from you, it's good to know that you're okay...so to speak and it is only down internet. I usually assume this when you don't post, but also lift up a prayer that it isn't something wrong physically with you or your family. Yes,the wind has been awful and I'm so sorry to hear about all your damage. You are such an amazing person and such a blessing to so many of us!!!
ReplyDeleteMy love and prayers are with you during this stressful time.
Blessings..
xoxo Gert
Hi Linda...Glad you are all safe...
ReplyDeleteTonight, we are under more tornado watches...I will say, the weather has certainly been doing it's own thing...I was telling someone earlier, my little red bug does not do well in high winds, so I have just been letting her sit in the garage...I don't suppose I need to go anywhere anyways!
Yall take care and stay safe..
