Baby It's Cold Outside!!!

My cone flowers look even pretty!
Hello Sweet ladies,
Brrrrrrrrrr, oh my it is so cold outside. It hurts your face, if you have to be in it. I was so hoping that I would not have to go to work this morning. Smile! The day before we cooked plenty of desserts.......but it didn't snow enough to keep us HOME! Sigh! We did wake up to frozen pipes in the bathroom though. Not cool! Sponge bath? When you live in an old farm house, it happens in the winter. We have been so blessed thus far.......so I can't complain!

We left for work this morning and the wind was blowing really hard. When you drive from our place to town there are open fields.......that means white out and lots of blowing snow.......... which makes visibility almost impossible. We did get to work........but had to drive slow. The kids at school were off and only about half of them weathered the storm and came for lunch. It really was very miserable! We just baked away and will be better prepared for tomorrow.

We have been watching the weather and so many people are being affected by the storm. We were on the edge of it so we didn't get the snow. If you are getting nailed........ know that people are asking the Lord for protection for you. We are for sure! If you are in the storm tell us how we can be praying.

When we got HOME I asked if Taylor would mind going out and taking some picture. I thought she did a super job.

This design turned out so pretty. You can see lots of little snowflakes on the window.

Love this pic of the little milk barn. The chickens are all tucked inside!

Won't be hanging any clothes these days.

Tay won't be barrel racing either.

Thank you for coming by. Is anyone having problems reading the posts with the new font?
Let me know please.

Hugs and may the Lord bless you!
Linda

  1. I really like your pictures they are so pretty. I lived in IL and MO a couple years ago. I now live in WA, so we don't get much snow. I have to say I miss the snow and cold. I know it hurts but at the same time you can tell when it is winter and when it is not.
Thank you for the comment on my blog.

  3. Hi Linda,

I just found your blog and have enjoyed reading your posts. I'm in Northeast Ohio and we've not had much in the way of snow but we did get plenty of freezing rain.

I love the snowy pictures. My favorite is the snowflakes on the window.

    Stay warm!

The font is cute, but not the easiest to read.

  5. Good Morning Linda, I love the photo with the snowflakes on the window. I like your font, but it is a bit harder to read compaired to before. The comment font type is almost too small. I'm not complaining though, I'd be here no matter what! Take care, and send some of that precipitation our way. We've slipped below average for rainfall this winter. P.S. Send it to northern CA. Thanks so much ;-)

  8. Hello Linda,
Yup... it's cold! We are having lots of snow today... predicting 18" but we may already have that much.

I can empathize with you concerning frozen water pipes. Hope you had no broken ones in the end. We had no water at all flowing into the camper and thought the pipe may have frozen underground. Mr. D had been in the well house leveling up the washing machine and apparently ran into the heat lamp and the bulb had broken off at the stem. After one night of having the heat lamp on... yea!!! we have water. Thank you Lord!

    God bless YOUR day too!!
Spring is really just around the corner now :)

  9. Hello Linda.. Love your pictures, they are all so good! We are having the same kind of weather here that you are having down there. Thank goodness we too didn't have much snow, but the cold weather is brutal...

The font is cute but not as easy to read.

    Blessings...
    xoxo Gert

  10. We got about 10 inches last night and through this morning. I posted some pictures. We live mid-upper Michigan and our daughters in G.R. south of us got at least 15 inches. I got a snow day unable to get out of the drive and the road was not plowed. I think there is trick to keep your pipes from freezing. If you know your weather is going to dip to the temp that freezes them just leave a trickle of water run through the night. Just make sure to make sure your stopper is up..that could be bad. Enjoy the snow, I am trying to even though I am not a snow person. Stop by to see how we fared in Michigan.
