I didn't get anything put up yesterday afternoon.............our family was invited out to dinner. YES!!!!!!! Love it when we are invited somewhere! My was it nummy. Homemade pizza and fried ice cream. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the pizza, but this is what it looks like.
Here is the recipe........easy easy easy!
Alicia's Margherita Pizza
Make your own pizza dough or store bought
Press pizza out in a pizza pan
Drizzle top with olive oil.
Place sliced tomatoes all over the top.
Slice fresh basil in small strips and sprinkle over tomatoes.
Cut fresh mozzarella cheese slices and place on top of pizza.
If I were to make it I would shake parmesan cheese on the top before cooking and add to top after cooking also. We like parmesan cheese, a lot in our home.
Bake 450 for 10 -12 minutes or until done.
Serve with salad and you have a meal. Now think of someone to have to your HOME!
For dessert Alicia made Fried Ice cream. Oh my was it delissssshhhhh! Wished you could have been there!
Alicia used her scripture plates.........always makes me feel special!Love the star shine on the spoon.......sweetness!
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 flour tortillas
1/2 tea. ground cinnmon
2 tlb. sugar
1/4 cup cornflake crumbs
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
whipped cream
2 maraschino cherries, with stems
Click above on the name and you will get the rest of the recipe.
Now for the wedding pic's, again they are not very good, but it will give you the sweetness I want you to see.
We have been learning a lot in our church about Jesus being the Bride Groom and the Church being the Bride. It has been giving our family more insight on weddings. As I sat there with my honey next to me I was reminded of our wedding day........we have grown in our faith since that day for which we are both very thankful. Every time we are at a wedding we think of our commitment we made that day on August 16th. If it were not for Christ no telling where we would be today. He is our everything and we want to please only Him now.
When Cecil the groom was standing up front and turned to look at Dee for the first time.......in all her beauty (she said he had never seen her really dressed up with makeup and such). Everyone could hear Cecil gasp. And I mean gasped. The breath was knocked out of him. Precious moment.
He saw her.......... emotion definitely touched his heart. What a beautiful picture. One day the Lord will look at the Body of Christ....the Church. What a precious day that will be.
Dee and Cecil that the Lord would guide them into all truth. We are so excited to see what the Lord has for them. Praying for children........for they are a blessing from the Lord. Our family was so excited to be witnesses on this special day.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Hugs from my farm to your Home,
Linda
P.S. Talked to Sherry yesterday. She was the one with the Purses with Promises. They have 85 purses so far. She will be taking a picture for me to show you. I will do a post about what the Lord is doing. If anyone is still interested in sending purses or making tea cozies please leave me an email with Purses for joplin. My email is at top right on my side bar. We want to continue on with this. Their are many ladies on our country that have lost everything. Sherry and her husband Jim will be taking the first load to Joplin this weekend. How precious to think of each lady opening her purse with a beautiful turquoise Bible in the inside. Jesus Name will be honored that day. Simple acts of kindness from Homes across America! Blesses my heart!
Also Sherry talked to the lady that is helping with the distribution. She said that sheets and towels are needed. Not clothes ( I will explain later). So anyone that follows my blog and wants to help please write and I will help you get in touch. Thanks for all you are doing.
Linda, no picture of the Bride? I just knew the last picture would be of Dee! LOL
ReplyDeleteDo you have a deadline for the next group of purses? I'll send my tea bags this Friday. I also gave Holly (Life Size Catholic blog) you address, as she had some things to send.
BTW, I loved the pictures!
Blessings & hugs,
Cheryl
