There Is Not Enough Of Me!!!!

Hello sweet ladies,

I am tired..........worn out.......taking a mini break today! With all that has been going on with my daughter Tay and the horse accident......her "stuck to the couch"......smile........Momma, Momma, Momma.......need I say more? My granddaughter Ellie who's horse died this last weekend staying two days and left yesterday........only to get an email, "I miss you already.......can we (her brother) come Friday and stay the night?" Music to my ears!

Until then.............

I am doing this for my front porch........so beautiful!

I am going to dream today......... that I am sitting on this.......

Disclaimer.......I have hurt someone by having this picture of the flag not being displayed properly. I am sorry and did not think it through that I would actually sit on the flag. I would not.  I agree with the someone. I just liked the way this picture looked. Sorry if I offend anyone else. That is not my intension.

I won't be........but I can
DREAM!

I read this morning somewhere this question,
What will you do for the 4th?

In Sterling the little town we live by, they have an Old fashioned 4th. It has been going on for ever!!! They have turtle races, which we already have 3 that our grandson is feeding everyday so each child will be using. They have fireworks along the side of the lake which is the most beautiful site. When you are sitting watching and hearing the National Anthem....... you are proud to be an AMERICAN! Does something to the heart!

I have not said much about my fabric that I designed, The Americana Collections. Only one piece was accepted out of 14 different pieces. It was sad, but God is in control. We dedicate every collection to HIM, so we have peace. I have been waiting on the order to come in the mail. I will be selling it. It won't be here before the 4th......but so many are Americana people year round, so it will be for those who like that look. As soon as I get it, I will be putting it up in the store! It really turned out sweet, was hard getting it. It is now on it's way.

Until tomorrow........I am taking it easy. I am still working on the Apron pattern. I am so sorry.........it isn't finished.......life has been "happenin".........I know you understand this well.

Leave an answer to my question if you would like.......and if you have NEVER left a comment.......please do so today.......I would love to meet you. I have so many that come everyday....it would be fun to say hello!

Welcome new followers.........I have noticed you and tried to come to your blog.......so many don't have one, but I have noticed.

Hugs precious ladies..........you are precious in HIS SIGHT!

Linda

  2. Lord love your heart, you sound very tired today! Hope it gets better as the day goes. God is so good, just let him love you today, sometimes, lots of times, all the times of our days that's just what we need.

As for the 4th, my M-I-Law, that is her birthday, she will be 78! All the in laws & outlaws will be with her at the lake, too far for this little gal to go, so me & mine will take an easy picnic nearby and watch the fireworks in the gap town down the road.

Not slighting Mamaw though, we'll see her tomorrow at her old school reunion up on Flat Gap Mountain, out in the woods. They'll have story telling, plenty of food, pictures of countless country cousins on this side and old time singing from the Kentucky cousins from across the way. She called last night & said, "come", so onward we go! Bless you, even in the hard times, press on!

  5. Linda, Do not give it a second thought about the flag or Judy's e-mail! I found her message very informative. She was correct, I did not know that there are proper ways to display the flag! I gained a bit of wisdom today, so thank you for posting this picture, or I might not have learned a valuable lesson! I had purchased the flag at a thrift store earlier and wanted to display it. It is a pretty linen! We used it for the picture, but did not sit on the flag either, and now I know not to use it as decoration! Thank you and I pray that your days become brighter by the minute!! 9. So much happening in your life right now - just take it easy and relax if you can. We will be traveling back home on July 4th from my son's wedding in Minnesota..usually we have a big picnic with lots of people here, but this year..nope...we're having an even bigger party with the wedding. Enjoy your day.

  10. Dear Linda,
I forgot to mention in my last comment that I am also praying for Ellie. I know what it's like to lose a beloved animal. I think it's really sweet that she is asking already to spend more time with you. That's precious. Enjoy it and fill their little hearts with good times and Jesus Christ ;) :)

I like the photo of that bench....I wouldn't sit on the flag either...but still, I love the Americana look...and that is what I love :) :) did you notice that I had found your fabric at my local Joann's fabric store? Ooops...that reminds me, I need to photograph it and post it on my blog, so friends can see, adm ire and go purchase it ;) :)

I'm praying for all you all :) :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather ;) :) :)

p.s. It's such a beautiful day today. It started out overcast, cool with a slight warm breeze...just perfect weather for sitting outside and enjoying something cool to drink and crafts or a book. ;) :) Now it's sunny outside and still cool :) :)

  11. Linda,
You are such a blessing! Thanks for being there for everyone that comes your way. I was wondering if you have a post in the archives about how you got started in fabric desing and how you submitted your designs? I would love to read more about it. I'm sorry that some of your designs didn't work out. Just keep up the good work. God always has a plan. We just have to be patient and wait. I suppose that's what faith is....

  12. No wonder you are exhuasted! For our forth we normally invite a few people over and sit out in or backyard. Last 4th I was 9months pregnant, so this year I just look forward to not dying in the heat!

  13. For the fourth my husband will work as usual. My son will go to his uncles farm as usual. And little guy and I will stay home alone. Just another normal day. That sounds like I am mopey about it but I'm not. I actually spend almost every holiday alone with the little guy and I enjoy it for some reason. We are alone almost every day but there is something about him and I on the holidays. He's only 18 months old but I try to make it a special day for us and do something out of the ordinary.

I never thought that at all about sitting on the flag. I knew what you meant.

  14. Life is so full... sometimes we do need to stop, take a break, and refresh ourselves!

Sounds like a fabulous way to spend Independence Day! How fortunate you are to have that fun-ness for your kids and grand kids.

So very sorry to hear about your fabric. But yes, thank You Lord that You are in control!!

I hope you find rest soon, dear friend~
