What a whirl wind weekend and last two days!!!!!! I felt like my feet haven't touched the ground.
This was their engagement pic.
I said that I would share about the wedding a bit. Nellie and Brandon are two precious young people. Their courtship was so ordained by the Lord Jesus! It was precious to watch. Every time I would see them I would get choked up. When the wedding started their was a children's choir. I have never seen this happen. Nellie comes from a family of 10. Her daddy is a Pastor of a Bible Church and I guess it was the children from their church. It was so beautiful as they walked in singing down the isle before she came down. I didn't bring a hankie!!!!!! Her Daddy officiated the wedding. He did a beautiful job. They used the book of Ruth throughout the wedding.
Then on Sunday night their was a Men's Encounter. This is truly a men's movement that is growing and really needs the Lord's protection. It is a time when men go from Friday night to Sunday night. My sweet man has gone and was so blessed by being with other men sharpening iron with the Word of God. Anyway one young man who was in his twenties blessed my sweet man and myself. He got up with the Bible in hand. He opened it up and read from Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Then he said that he was going to go home and love his Dad and Mom and be there for his brothers and sisters. Of course I cried, because the next thing he did was turned to his Dad......and hugged him. Amazing amazing......he had not been living for Jesus before but was trained.....now he is. If anyone lives in my area.....and want to know about Men's Encounter you can call here. There is another one going on October 19-21. It will be held in Salina, Kansas. God is doing a huge work. 200 men's lives were changed last weekend, whether they had been walking with Jesus for years or just came to know who he was! That is what will change America! One Home after another! Please pray for our men and sons.......ladies, they need our support!
Today my Ellie (granddaughter) is coming.....we are going to spend a little time working in the trailer and laying red/white check contact paper down in the cupboards. That will make me feel like at least that is fresh and clean!
I found some dishes!!!!!! I used to have some of these along time ago. Can't wait to save and get a few sets. They are tin and they will be perfect.
Taylor wanted to thank you for the kindness shown to her on her birthday. She will write, but she had to go with her sis and back a cake at a friend's house!
Hugs to your day,
Linda
I got goose bumps reading about the young man at the Men's Encounter group; that is powerful. And the idea of a children's choir at the wedding is lovely.
ReplyDeleteTerra, it was so so precious. I still keep thinking about the night. The children sang so sweet. I had never heard that before. Loved it! Hugs, me

ReplyDeleteLinda God works in our lives, one at a time! What a beautiful testimony and what a wonderful and sweet young married couple. The marriages I see that are strong make me smile. My oldest daughters friend lives on Capo Cod. She was here this winter for the funeral of her daddy. One week later returning for the funeral of her maternal grandpa. Last week, the funeral of her maternal grannie! They had been married 72 years! God truly blessed them wouldn't you say?
ReplyDeleteYour trailer is precious.
What a sweet story....they look like a very sweet couple. I hope they have many wonderful years together.
