Hello sweet ladies,
Thank you so for the sweetness yesterday. I guess when you are a Momma.......and you have prayed for your children who are now grown and life comes and hits them from behind......it is hard to watch them suffer. I realize suffering is a part of life and the Lord says it produces perseverance...for that I am thankful. During the times when you children walk through hard times......it is essential that you don't pray them out of the hard times......but that they will only rely on the One who wants to make them more into His image. I can trust the Lord with my kids........He had them first. I have the history of walking a long time with Jesus.......and the faithfulness He has been to my family over the years. I have seen prayers answered in mighty ways that can only be explained by the Lord's intervening. I pray also for myself, that I will be of great courage.....leaning on the Him for my all, so that I might be a blessing to my child during their time of hurt. Staying in His Word......praying it over my them.....so they will not miss out on the blessing that the Lord has. God always works in obedience.
One thing I know.....Christ is the answer and a picture of Himself and his church (His bride)....purifying...those who have put their trust in His salvation that He has provided by His shed blood on Calvary.......for all who will believe, He is God in man form,
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and wordly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope-the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 3:11-14 If only we believe.
“Suffering in the path of Christian obedience, with joy - because the steadfast love of the Lord is better than life (Psalm 63:3) - is the clearest display of the worth of God in our lives. Therefore, faith-filled suffering is essential in this world for the most intense, authentic worship. When we are most satisfied with God in suffering, he will be most glorified in us in worship. Our problem is not styles of music. Our problem is styles of life. When we embrace more affliction for the worth of Christ, there will be more fruit in the worship of Christ.” ― John Piper, Tested by Fire
If you are walking through a difficult time now, your obedience counts......maybe you are sitting day after day with your precious man who is sick....... caring for one of your parents who doesn't even know who you are..... watching your children making wrong choices for their lives and not giving up on them...............your husband doesn't have a job.........don't quit looking to the SON.......continue to give Him praise during this time......because He has your life in the palm of His hand......working all things out, if you are stayed on Him. He promises to not leave us. This place is not our home.....but it preparing us for eternity. What a wonderful day that will be!
How precious to KNOW that!
Hugs to your SONday........
You are so precious in His sight!

P.S. A new little chicky was born last night.......makes that 13 little fluffs.......when I go up to the brand new babies in the bird cage......I talk to them face to face.....they come up an peep at me......they think that I am their mom......I am!

Words of wisdom you shared today are so true. I've been through hard life struggles, with God on our side. We made it through because we believed and trusted. It helps to remember the past chapters we've lived and it builds our story of life in Him. My daughter had a car issue that we helped her out on. She recently got extra money from work. She was happy to have it but she asked why does it always happen when she gets extra money, things happen that uses that money? Well, it was planned that way by God. He gave you the money for your need. I know the feeling, it's happened to us. Prayers for you and whatever is going on in your life. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda for the encouraging words today & the words of truth from the Word. We can all "hold" hands across the miles & lift each other up to the Lord. Sisterhood is such a wonderful thing! Love the baby chicks~~~:0)
