Today at the bakery I was able to use the recipe I gave you the other day for the No Knead Dinner Rolls. As I made them I was afraid that doubling the recipe I might have a problem, but I didn't. They turned out the same as when I made a single batch. I will keep this recipe in case I ever have to make a large amount, this will be the one I will use.
Most of these girlies are ready to start laying eggs. They were birthday presents and ones I bought at the Yoder Auction. Can't wait!!!!
Love their tail feathers!!!!! You have to wait so long it seems, but when the time comes.....it is so worth it!
I really like my little Cochin here. She is light blue and dark blue. I am not sure what kind she is. Any ideas? She is pretty that is for sure.
Miss Emma is doing well. She hasn't laid an egg yet. I will wait. I will let you know.
It was a quiet evening after coming home here on the farm .........still praying for my sister. Talked with her today and she was a little down. I sent her this picture and some verses. It was precious because she wrote me back and said that she went to read it in her Bible. She said....."all the scriptures we shared together were underlined and circled with dates in my Bible." I was blessed........ so was she.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
I know that some of you are going through some very difficult times also. God has promises for us all.......in His Word! Hope you are encouraged!
Hugs to each of you!!!!!!!!
Linda
Welcome to all the new followers!!!!!!!
You are so welcome here!
I want to try to make these rolls. They look so yummy!
ReplyDeletePraying for your sis! Health issues are so hard to understand and we have to trust Him who loves us. I love the verses you share too.
Always beautiful to visit.
Your girls are so sweet! That blue one is very sweet and unique.
I remember my parents driving fifty miles to buy fresh eggs from a little widow lady in Canon City. It was always a nice drive and I enjoyed spending that time with my folks when I was young. Sigh!
Blessings to you and yours. Praying for yous sis. Hugs Anne
Beautiful.

Delicious looking rolls! I'll have to give them a try.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have some pretty 'girls' there.
Our 'girls' will be laying sometime in Nov. or Dec. I'm so looking forward to fresh eggs.
Best wishes for your sister. I hope that she is able to find comfort in the scriptures, and in your close relationship as sisters.
warm wishes..
K.
Thank you Linda.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, my sweet friend,
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for your thoughtful post. Each time I visit I am uplifted and encouraged. You shared my precious grandmother's favorite verse from Psalm 121. I remember so well hearing her quote it. I miss her so much but, oh, the joy it brings me knowing she is with Jesus.
As you shared the other passage I couldn't help but pray for Israel. She is being bombarded by rockets this very day. How we need to continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Your chickens are so beautiful and healthy. The scripture reminding us that God gathers us up and covers us with His wings is so poignant as I enjoy your feathered friends.
Have a joy filled day,
Carolynn xoxo
Thank you for this blessed post, Linda!
Very beautiful and your blog is a blessing to all who visit it. God Bless. LenZie

Hello Miz Linda!
ReplyDeleteI'm back....(you've been warned!).
The rolls look delicious. I'm making homemade chicken and noodles tonight and some of your rolls would be a great addition. Maybe I'll make some quick yeast biscuits...or something.
We are the proud owners of a little hen who has blessed us with two light green eggs...so far. They all should be getting ready to start laying, as they are close in age. I think we have about 30 new hens.
Lots to catch up on, getting use to a newer computer....lots to do. Life is always busy, isn't it?
I have missed you like crazy my friend! And I am so happy I can now post as well as read.
Hugs to you and your sweet family!
Still planning to try those rolls, once I catch up on things around here (haha).
ReplyDeleteMy sweet girls are laying well...love your little chick...she's adorable...maybe next year I can nab a few new kinds.
