Babies, and Babies and More Babies

Hi sweet ladies,

It has been quite exciting here on Prairie Flower Farm........so much so that my time has been used up taking care of the farm and babies. Babies were hatching all day and evening long......ask me if I had fun? Yup I did, I kept lifting Momma Red and Momma Blue......they are the sweetest Mommas!!!!!!!! They would never think to bite me and they let me share on being the human
Momma with.........pure joy!

Here is what has been keeping me busy! Sweetness! Little fluff balls!

Do you see the little sweet pea in the righthand corner? When I came to check here they were........all happy! Life........THANK YOU JESUS! I love it when I think of our Creator......who thought of us a long time ago! Seeing the empty eggs and wee little babies struggling for life........amazing!

I am bringing the little puff balls inside the house. I am not sure since the little brown one hopped out of the nest what would happen with the little chicks while I am gone. I would hate for the daddy roosters to hurt one. Seven little ones so far. I will be going out soon to see what we have who hatched last night!

Just came in from the milk house........I placed these little pumpkins in my pocket to bring into the house.......thought you might like to see! Another black one and golden one. More have peep holes.......I will hop out of the car when I get home.......

just like CHRISTmas........can't wait to see the little presents!

Hugs from my farm and may the Lord bless and make Himself known even more then He has already!!!!!!!!

Know that you are loved......by me, but mostly Jesus!

Linda

  6. Your babies are so cute thanks for sharing them. We live where we can't keep chickens safe(due to living in the woods)so I miss the spring babies. It's great you are sharing your with us.

  9. They are so cute. I grew up on a farm and love your site as I miss the farm life. A funny story for you. My first year of teaching was in a private Christian School. I had kindergarten in the mornings. In the Spring we had the kids color pictures of baby chicks. The other kindergarten teacher went to the principal because when we hung our pictures up with hers in the gym all of her students' pictures were yellow chicks and I had rainbow colored chicks. I was in trouble. I looked the principal in the eye and asked if he had ever seen all the chicks that God had made. He replied he had not. I then asked him how he knew God had made no rainbow colored chicks. He let me leave because he had no answer for me. The more I look at the picture of your chicks and chickens the more certain I am that somewhere out there God has created a rainbow colored chick. Let me know if you find any.

  10. I bought a chick at Easter at Woolworth's as a kid. My mother made me take it back! I still wonder what I was thinking and what I would have done when that chick grew up in the city? My mom was a smart lady. I love the memory though, that chick was cute and so soft and perfect. Hugs Anne
