I just made a batch of "Oregon" peach jam on Labor day. Was craving peach jam big time. Never had Strawberry peach jam but sounds delicious!! Glad you are getting rain. It hasn't rained here in central Oregon for quite a while either. Our main concern in this neck of the woods is forest fires. But fall is coming and so are the rains eventually. Peggy @prmscrapquilt@bendbroadband.com
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so delicious--I never would have thought of combining these. I have been busy canning tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteslrdowney at hotmail dot com
Would love to try that combination. I've made some jams over the years but they are usually just the basic flavors. I do have plums I'm waiting on and hoping to make a chutney with them. I've never had chutney :}
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds so good!!! I would love to try it! Hopefully after the party you will share the recipe too? Where you live, do you have any nut trees? I figured out that I have an English Walnut tree and it is full!! At first I thought they were apples. Can hardly wait to harvest them and figure out how to do it...especially drying them. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteBlessings for your rest of the week,
Julie tjhaak6@gmail.com
That looks very yummy! Have never tried peach and strawberry jam! I am hoping to get to the cider mill this fall and make apple butter yum love it and have a new crockpot recipe I want to try.
ReplyDeletepost on facebook too! thanks again for the party Linda

Just came from Facebook, your peach strawberry jam looks wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteStrawberry Peach Jam sounds delicious! I just got a big bunch of pears so I'm planning on making some kind of pear preserves. There are several yummy recipes I'm looking at.
ReplyDeleteSounds just delicious, Linda! How I would love to win a jar! If not, I will just have to make some. I have plenty of strawberries in the freezer and could get some peaches.
ReplyDeleteI agree with a commenter above, you are such an inspiration. You accomplish so much at home even on the days that you work. A great example to me. I struggle with using my time in the most productive ways. Thanks for being such a wonderful example.
I left a comment on FB - I've made peach-raspberry freezer jam, but never used strawberries. :D
ReplyDeleteWe've gotten some rain here in southern Missouri and are so thankful. The jam sounds great -- I've never had that combination before.

ReplyDeleteHi I left a message on your post about the jam on fb......ciao4now64 at yahoo dot com.
ReplyDeleteI have been making a salad dressing using fruit preserves, balsamic vinegar and water to kind of neutralize the vinegar :) The consistency of the preserves makes it think & wonderful. I've tried it with strawberry and then a pineapple/apricot combo.... Wonder what your jam would be like?????
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever even eaten strawberries and peaches together and definitely in a jam. Looks and sounds good. Would love to win....can almost taste it on a biscuit.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this, would love to try it. Love STrawberry/Rhubarb jam. Bet it would be yummy on my Homeade Sour Dough Bread. Thanks for doing this.

ReplyDeleteI've never thought of combining peaches and strawberries. I'll bet that is delicious. I've got lots of jalapeno peppers coming from my garden right now. I made some pepper relish and the family loved it. I think I will need to make some more for Christmas gifts. I just hate burning fingers. ~smile~

I am new to your site and simply love it. The recipe for the whole wheat dinner rolls sounds so good. I am going to try making them soon. Being able to connect with other like-minded and like-hearted women across this nation is such a blessing. I do not have a blog but follow by reading blogs and by email. Your jam is lovely. ReplyDeleteBJ
Hi Linda! Just "liked" you on Facebook. I am so happy that you are getting rain. It's been plentiful here in Ohio and it's made me wish I could barrel it up and send it to all those needing it.
ReplyDeleteAs for your jam, that sounds like a mix that my husband would really work on the "honeydo" list with the promise of that and some warm fresh baked bread or biscuits. Thanks for sharing such good things with your readers. Be blessed.
