Hello sweet ladies,
Had a busy time at the bakery yesterday. For some reason Mondays are always so hectic. Made up some new recipes that I want to share with! I didn't have my camera......left it at home. Doesn't work very well.
Here is a little whisk broom I found at a farm store. Can't remember what one. It is brown and really full. Thought it would work well out in the Potter's Shed for dusting off benches and chairs. I just made a cluster of berries, leaves and bittersweet. Gathered them tight, laid in front of the broom and tied a little ribbon in a bow. It is hanging on the head of a rake on the old chicken wire. Thought it turned out sweet and super easy!
This is is our newest little blue Cochin. It was hatched on Sunday night late. I went down in the milk house later in the evening to check on everyone. It was going to get down in the low 50's and I needed to turned on the babies heat lamp. I thought I would just keep this one with Momma Red until morning. It is amazing how much stronger they can get in just a few hours. Well my sweet man went down for me early the next morning and guess who was on the bottom floor of the milk house? You guessed it. It was not all toasty warm like it needed to be. I brought it into the house and put it in a big jar with a little light on it to warm it up. I had to leave it to go to work, that was hard for me to do. By the time I got home it had one little leg off to the side! That isn't a good sign. I held it a lot during the evening to keep the legs together. Even did what a post said, "Lay it on it's back and put a small rubber band on legs to keep them together". Ha! Here I am with a baby that is about 1 1/2" wide and high laying it on my lap. I did it. It kept getting out of the tiny rubberbands. UGH! So I took a small paint bottle and made it so it had a comfy place to stay. It worked! I guess I should have put two eggs in there now that I think of it. Anyway, it is doing wonderful!
Hope your day is sweet. We will be busy again today in the bakery.
Know that I am thinking of you! Prayed for you all this morning. Trust your day is special!
God Bless YOU!!!!!!
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThat whisk broom with the fall deco is lovely. Your crafts you post are sooo neat. I follow you on Pinterest also and enjoy your boards! I have a friend/former co-worker that I am going to tell about you. Her son is a student at your college. I am sure he has enjoyed the fruits of your labor from the bakery. ;) Thank you for sharing! Thank you for the prayers also, and likewise. :-)
