I am on my break at the college so I thought I would stop in and say hello. I didn't have time last night to put up a post after fixing up the pen for Miss Emma. She took all of my time and that was just fine. She is the sweetest "Girlie"! Very gentle and she is fitting in very nicely on the Prairie Flower Farm. I am thinking of putting in my Buff rooster that is getting quite big. He is the one that I bought at the Yoder Auction this last spring. He isn't the same type, but he would keep her company.

Tonight when I get back on the farm I will be putting up some applesauce to freeze. I will show you how I do it if you have never done so.....it is soooooo Simple!
Hugs and God bless your day!
Linda
I think your lovely hen might be run ragged by a rooster if she's his only "option"! I know our rooster about wore out our small flock of hens before a coyote finally got him. I think they're all happier without him!!
ReplyDeleteUmmmm...applesauce.... I need to do that, too. I always used to take a day in early fall and that's what the kids and I would do for homeschooling that afternoon. It was so much fun! I miss those times now that they're grown.
Linda, I love your apple pictures they are so pretty! I hope your applesauce making went well tonight.
