I have not had anytime to post! Busy busy, but that does not mean I have not thought of you all!
Today in the bakery I found a fun easy recipe from My Favorite Things, called Hummingbird Bakery New York Style Cheesecake Cupcakes. REcipe, Click Here I made it for evening meal. Really is a pretty cupcake.....and easy! Thought you might like to try.
When I saw this verse this morning on Pinterest it made me wonder. We are seeing a deterioration in our land as many of you have noticed! Everything seems to be what used to be wrong......is now right. Staying close to the Word of God and living by His principals and truth will be so important in the days ahead. Now that the elections have been decided we will keep our eyes on Christ. Even though we are very concerned for our country we will follow Him. We will pray for the President, Mrs. Obama and their precious children. We will also be praying for the President that when he wakes up, he would think about every decision he makes and not only that, but about what the Lord would think of each and everyone of his decisions. He will be held accountable as a leader of our country. That is huge!
Just writing from my heart tonight. It has been a little heavy......but I know who I can trust......that is a comfort and trust it is for you also.
Please continue to pray for the storm on the east coast!
Hugs and God bless you precious ladies,
Linda
GOOD WORD! Roxie
ReplyDeleteThank you Roxie......I am so thankful that I have Christ to help all of us to get through this one day at a time. Blessings to you my sweet friend, Linda
DeleteI totally agree with you. I have had a heavy heart too for so long. I wanted the outcome to be different. But knew that it would happen like this. Not sure if you know what I mean by that.
ReplyDeleteThis country needs God now more than ever. And we need to pray without ceasing for ourselves, each other and our country. And for the leaders of our country and the world.
Love that verse too. :) It is so appropriate.
Have a wonderful week my new friend. :)
Take care, Janet W.
Hi my new friend, thank you so for writing! I was hopeful......then I was scared......then my sweet man helped me. I am thankful I have family to walk this all with. I so agree with you.......the church needs to step up and do as Christ has commanded......I am trusting He will lead us all so that many can come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! I am going to be more fervent in praying for leaders also. Thanks again for writing!!!!!!! God bless you and yours, Linda
DeleteGreat verse. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Mine are with yours and prayers indeed for this country and the days ahead. Although it's not surprising that the day is drawing closer when Jesus returns and it's not gonna get easier! Stand firm in your faith, as I am gonna do and fight for what's right in this world! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLinda..thanks for the recipe and verse! Our country does need our prayers..and our president also needs our respect nd prayers! This is a big job, just pray he is touched by our Lord each day as his feet hit the floor!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Hey sweet Gert, you are so welcome. I will have to work on the respect part and will certainly pray. My heart aches for all the damage that has happen to our country in the last 4 years......God is still on the throne and He always will be! I know I can trust HIM! Not man!
DeleteHugs and blessings back atcha! me
Wow, isn't that verse speaking about our times now! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHello Wendy......yes it does. You are so welcome. Thanks for writing me back.......it is good to know that we can trust Him with our all! Hugs and blessings, Linda
DeleteTrue Christians will keep praying and trusting God and standing FIRM on Biblical principles. We can't throw in the towel. The worse the world gets, the harder we pray. My hope is in the Lord!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin, I agree with you. We need the written Word like never before. I need to type them out and carry them with!!!! It is wonderful that together we can stand and encourage one another. We need to live the great commission so we can see many go with us!! Hugs, me and thank you for writing!
DeleteHI Linda,
ReplyDeleteYour post is wonderful. I agree with each word you say today. Keep praying and He will listen.
BTW, the cheesecake recipe looks really good and easy. We have a big buffet set up on Christmas night and wouldn't these be wonderful to serve?
Susannah, thank you for the encouragement! You were a blessing!!!!!! He is listening I know that. Amazing!!!!!!! That sounds wonderful to use them during CHRISTmas!!!!!! Hugs, me
DeleteThank you, Linda for the Word and recipe. I shared the verse with my FB friends. As you and other Christians, we are worried but must put our trust in God alone. I will be praying for our leaders. I hope they realize to whom they must answer for the decisions they make.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was told that the state of Maine only has 3% Christians. That broke my heart. I'll also be praying that those mighty Christians can stand firm in their faith.
Hugs and love,
Regina
That is neat Regina. Isn't that the truth who they will answer to. Wow? I have never heard that of Maine......the church has it's work cut out. I prayed with you. Hugs and love back! me
DeleteI, as well, have a heavy heart. What is going on in this country is so sad. When I read the verse you posted, my mind went immediately to my oldest grandson. He is in his first year of college at a Christian college. He has been asked to watch 3 movies with vulgarity in them....to the point where a vulgar word was used 10 or more times in a very short time. He refused to watch that one. He has been to the professor who says he doesn't have to watch it. The professor took the matter to someone higher up in the college. They say the movies stay. They are interested in the rating that their school will get when these kids graduate and get jobs...they want to offer the best students in the field and they feel that they will be more well rounded and in tune with today by watching this garbage. I am just sickened by this but I am very proud of my grandson for standing up for what he believes in. He will probably be switching to another Christian college. Gloria Linburg
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is a brave young man. I also am at a CHRISTian college every day for work. I can't believe how some talk. It isn't filled with all committed Christ followers...... some I have been able to talk. We have been to some of the plays.....not good. Thank you for sharing.......you sound precious also! Hugs, me

I am here to catch up with you! Before I forget please, please, please pray for Nick! He and his team are on their way to Mt. Vernon, IL. They will run in the Nat'l Championship XC. Please pray Nick's knees hold him upright and he does not have any problems and everyone runs a good solid race! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI will have to send you a private e mail re:the election. But your comments brought tears to my eyes. We must lean on God and trust Him 100 percent! I too pray for the president. While so much hatefulness and meanness went around regarding the candidates and particularly the president I decided to find three things about each candidate that would be positive and I prayed hard for the election!
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter "(Isa 5:20).
I have a heavy heart a lot of the time. I fear the worst in this world and I am afraid for my children. I have to trust the Lord and put them in His hands.
Let's all pray together. Thank you Linda for all your thoughts.
The cupcakes looked wonderful! I wish Nick were at your school! I would never worry about what he eats!
Have a wonderful weekend. We are in for some snow!
Blessings and Hugs Anne
Anne, thank you for the update on Nick! He will do great I am sure! Thank you for writing me. I was encouraged by your verse.....it is so true and that is exactly what is going on in our day. If we can change language......satan can use it for sure!

ReplyDeleteI've just been catching up on you posts as i've been away, sorry to hear about your sons truck getting stolen.
I have noted down the verse from Timothy, it stopped me in my tracks and make me thing about a lot of things.
Hi sweet Emma, the truck is still gone. He has to wait for 3 weeks before he can get another one. Write me if you want on the Timothy verse. I am so glad you stopped by! Hugs to you and those adorable boys, me
