My Daddy Is With Jesus

Dear Sweet Blogger Family,
I want the party to still go on, please. It is the one bright moment of my day, besides my walk with Jesus. Smile. So many of you have been so wonderful to my family in this last month. I cannot begin to thank you enough. I would come home from being in the hospital with my Dad and there in my inbox or on my bog would be emails or comments with wonderful prayers and just tons of sweet words. I know that you were sent by Jesus to be his words of encouragementto us. My sweet daughters have watched love being demonstrated by such precious ladies. I thank you all so much.

For some of you who know my sister Shannon, she will be here tonight. Please pray for her also. Thank you again!

  7. I am so sorry, Linda, for the loss of your sweet daddy! When I think of dear ones going home, I remember what our sweet little (first)pastor's wife said when she was told that her dear husband had just passed ~ "Oh! This is the happiest day of his life!" How precious!
May you think on this day as the happiest day of your daddy's life!

  13. Praying for you and your family as you grieve. Rejoicing that you KNOW where he is ~ healthy, full of joy and embraced by those who also knew Him. Knowing that takes a certain ache away, but the grief for the robbery of death is still there for those still here.
    Come Lord Jesus!

  15. I think that whenever a parent dies, no matter how old you are, you still feel like your a half orphan.

I'm so thankful that our Savior is not only welcoming your Daddy into his loving arms, but He is also keep you in his grasp as He comforts you and your family. Isn't He so good to us? (And I thought I could multi-task).

  33. Linda.. I know your heart is so heavy right now. I'm sorry that your time with your dad has been cut short, but our good Lord said he was ready. No more suffering, he is at peace. At least there's comfort in that. I know you will miss him so. Lots of prayers, and my thoughts are with you and yours.

  34. Our prayers for your family going up! I am so sorry for your loss. As you know, we recently went through a very sad time too with the loss of our granddaughter. You just have to put it all in the Lords' hand. We are sad to have them leave us, but they are with Jesus now and in a better place.
Love and hugs to your family dear!

  35. I just found your blog through Gooseberry patch. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm thank He's with our Lord and that you have that comfort to know that He is. At the same time, I know you're missing him and your heart is aching. My Angel Mother passed three years, 3 days and and 6 hours ago. The missing is the hardest part, and although I didn't think life would ever be the same again, and it's not.. it does get easier by the Grace of God. I'm praying for you sweet Sister in Christ. After my Mom died.. maybe a couple weeks later,.. a friend sent me a gigantic bouquet of mixed flowers. She said to "Look into the flowers, they are your glimpse into heaven." So keep looking into the flowers...
    Holykisses,
    Lea

  37. Tears for you, as I am certain the loss must feel almost unbearable. But we KNOW that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for those who know Him. Let that comfort you. Although you will miss him here, one day we will all be together and He will wipe away ALL OUR TEARS! The separation is for a time. Heaven is eternal. Hugs to you and your family. Praying God to send the Holy Spirit to comfort you.

  44. Linda, my dear dad passed away on Dec 16, 2009 after a very long and painful bought with lung cancer. My heart went out to you as I read this post. Thankfully we both have that blessed hope of seeing our earthly father's again, but I am sure your pain is still fresh and you miss your dear dad the way I miss mine. May God's loving comfort and grace be sufficient. Where would we be without Him?

    In Christ,
    oxo Judy
