Work Day For Me How About You?

Hi Everyone,
Just a short note. Yesterday when I wrote about the crown of Thorns. Well, I didn't realize that I had dropped a branch with the thorns on it and "I STEPPED ON IT!!!!!!!" Man, it hurts really bad. I have soaked it and put antibiotic cream on it. It hurts though. I was wearing flip flops so it went mostly through that and about 1/4" in my foot. OUCH! It is quit read around it so please if you wouldn't mind praying that it won't get infected. I have little pieces of thorn in my hand that I can't get out also. Wonder if the soldiers that made the crown of thorns to put on Jesus had thorns in their hand.

I have two little barns that we moved over from our other farm to our new farm. They both have lofts on each side and the barns measure 12'x24' Anyway, I am taking some time today to work on one of the barns to get it organized for my working area for quilting and crafting. It has been a year over due! I will let you see as I progress on fixing it up a cute! I was wondering what you have going today. Any cute ideas? Let us all know and we will come visit your blog!

It is going to be in the 80's and possible storms this afternoon! Also the internet man is coming out today! Then I can put up pictures. Our internet is sooooooo slow and we can't up load much.

Love you bunches and trust your Easter was a blessings for you all.

  2. Ow! Your poor foot!! I pray it heals quickly.
Your barns sound lovely. I would love to have a space like that for sewing and designing. You can really spread out there. I can't wait to see pictures!
And yep, it is a work day for me too. I have my Yaya apron pattern almost done and hope to get it out to the testers today!!!! I am just finishing little things like photo placement, editing, and copyright info. I can't wait to get it into the hands of the testers so I can breath a few sighs of relief. My hope is to have it all complete and for sale next week. This will be a huge answer to prayer for me!

I pray you have a beautiful day and your foot heals well.

  3. Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that Linda's foot would be protected from infection. Give her body strength to heal. Give her wisdom and insight as to whether or not to see a doctor. I also pray for the pieces of thorn in her hands. Please protect them all from infection.

  4. Oh girl, do I feel for you. I'm prayin' now that you heal quickly without infection. Let me tell you sister, Pastor asked me to make a 'thorn arrangement' last fall for the communion table to go with his sermon. I did it but I was poked, bleeding and scratched up so bad you would think I'd tangled with a big cat! I was a mess and it took some time to heal. I so don't want that for you. Oh Lord touch her now!

You have a blessed day, sweetie!!!

  5. Oh, poor Linda!
I surely will be praying for your wounded foot and hands! I have gotten stuck with blackberry thorns or rose thorns and they make the whole area so sore. Perhaps you could try soaking your foot and hands in some epsom salt water to help draw out the poison. That usually works well for me.
I have no pictures up, but I have started a few seeds and here only a few days later they are all sprouting up! So exciting to see them poke their little tops up and unfurl from the ground ~ you can almost watch them grow!
I can hardly wait to see your new quilting/crafting barn! What a fun spring project!
    Blessings!

  6. Hi Linda ~ So sorry to hear about your foot and hand...praying that they will heal soon...with no infection. We awoke to thunder and rain this morning...but has cleared for now and is 80 degrees. My morning started out very quiet...with the rain and such a cloudy day...I decided to do a Tea Time post. I love all that you share about the happenings in your home. Please visit me and I do wish that we could share a cup of tea and chat for a bit! Sweet blessings for your week! Teri

  7. Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your mishap and most definately I will be praying for a speedy healing.

Our day was spent at the funeral of our dear Red Hat Friend. I think that was one of the nicest funeral's I have ever been to. She was loved by so many and it showed. There were over 30 in our Red Hat Honor Guard, and that put smiles on the faces of those who were greiving. We know Mary would have been so proud of that!!!

We had a very happy and blessed Easter..

    xoxo Gert

It was in the 80's today here in Northern Virginia. I spent most of the day trying to finish a sewing/slipcover project. Definitely in way over my head!

  13. Petro Carbo Salve from Watkins. It does a good job of drawing out infection and almost dissolving things like splinters. I really enjoy your blog, is so relaxing. Would like to share more with you sometime. Blessings from another Linda.

  14. OH Ladies, I know that I have said this before, but I am so grateful to have ladies in my life that encourage me and care. I do believe the internet and blogs have given ladies the encouragement that has been much needed. Thank you for all the ideas for my foot. After I put the post up yesterday my foot was getting less and less swollen. Thank you. I will check into the Petro Carbo Salve Kaylin. I loved hearing all that was going on in your days. I can get a picture in my mind of what you might be doing. Isn't everyones life so interesting?

Well, I am going out into the garden with Mr and Mrs Puddle Duck. I am digging into the ground and getting weeds out and they are right by my side eating worms. I told my honey thank you for the life he has given me. Living on a farm is my cup of tea!

Blessings to your day sweet ladies!
    Linda

  15. I happened to come across your blog and read about your injury to your foot and hand. It is very important to soak your foot (and hand if necessary) twice a day in very warm (as warm as you can stand) salt water. After soaking, apply triple antibiotic ointment. Watch carefully for any infection such as redness, pus, swelling. If any, please see a Doctor!!
