Pray for our land please.....
the children
(painted by Linda Stubbs)
Hi sweet ladies!
You know me............ I am alwayssssss ready for a drawing. Thought it would be fun to kick off The National Day of Pray that will held across cities, homes, churches city halls tomorrow. Grandpas, Grandmas Dads, Mommas, children all across America will be coming before All Mighty God to ask for a covering over our Land. Some will ask for forgiveness, some will ask for healing.......... some will Praise Him for being a Faithful God and some will thank Him for “never leaving nor forsaking them” Hebrews 13:6. Then some will thank Him for another day. Please take time out on Thursday May 6th to pray. If you are a Momma or Grandmother and have children home in the day, gather them around you. Take them before the Father and ask Him to use them to be mighty prayer warriors for the Kingdom. Pray for our Land, that God would be first again in our Land. Pray for Daddy's that they would take back their homes and be the leaders that God intends them to be. That they would be teachers of the Word to their families. That Momma's would be blessed by her children, as she teaches them obedience. Please be lifting prayers before the Lord. Carve out a time tomorrow to do that. I will leave you with this video that touched me so this morning. It is from the National Day of Prayer website. Watch it with your family. Click on the word video
Our church will be opening the doors of the church for prayer and they will meet at the city hall, we will go with our girls. It is probably going on in your city also. Check it out.
Be assured that God delights over you, He loves you with an everlasting love! That is one the hardest thing for me to grasp sometimes. A lot of my life I have felt like I am in trouble. That is not truth! I am choosing to believe with a renewed mind!
If you want to sign up for the drawing, please just leave a comment. If you have any ideas of what you are doing tomorrow, please tell us or maybe leave a note of praise for what you are thankful for.
Drawing starts today and ends on Monday 10th at noon
Anyone can sign up (Canada or over seas), even if it has a flag!
The little wall hanging measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2".

Well, I'm out of the loop! I didn't realize what day tomorrow is. We were planning a special dinner with our daughter and her family as an early mother's day treat (lobster); so now, we can take the time to pray together around the dinner table for our country as well. For it's leadership nationaly, and in our families. Thanks for this timely reminder!

Linda,
Our church will have it's doors open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in observance of The National Day of Prayer. Each day I receive a thought for the day via email, today it was this - "There are times that it seems to take all of our strength to wait for God. But, that is what our faith does: it gives us the strength to wait - because God always does come when He knows the time is right." I pray that my faith grow ever stronger.
Please enter me in the giveaway - thank you.

Linda - What a beautiful site you have! I'd love to win the wall hanging, and have already 'taken advantage' of your free giveaways - thanks! Thanks also for the reminder about the National Day of Prayer - can't believe that now it's 'unconstitutional'? Oh well, that won't stop me! Tomorrow is also my hubby's birthday, so the kids and I have much to be grateful for. Thanks again, and many blessings, Karen
ReplyDeleteSooo much to pray for! In our nation and in our families. Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeletePraying for more wisdom for myself and for our country to heal and turn to God. I will be in my classroom teaching but will take time on my break to have quiet reflective meditative prayer time. Thank you for reminding us of this special day.
God bless.....
Thanks for the opportunity in your drawing!! :)
Hi Linda..I would love to be entered in your giveaway, what a beautiful wallhanging!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if our city is doing anything about the Day of Prayers, I am in CA and they probably keep that separate and I have not heard of any churches nearby either but we do say our own prayers and I will check out the website.
Blessings,
Barb

I will be at work praying my heart out for this fallen nation of ours. Americans need to take the country back to God. Our political leaders certainly are not going to do it! Let us pray for Franklin Graham that he is specifically being attacked by Satan because of his truthful comments about Islam. Do you know that between the New Age Movement and Islam our nation will be doomed if Christians do not fight the good fight? Jesus is the only truth. Bring our nation back to His lovingly arms.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you much Linda and I will be in prayer for our nation tomorrow.
Thank you for your lovely giveaway. Anne
Hi, Linda - What a beautiful idea! I will be home tomorrow, but praying throughout the day for our leaders, both local and national. America definitely needs to turn back to the Lord!
ReplyDeleteLovely idea, so kind.
ReplyDeleteToday is election day in the UK, so I am very mindful to hope for a new, honest and caring leader for the country.
Thankful for a dear friend, celebrating a special birthday today, she has been like a sister to me and I am so very blessed to have her in my life.
Love & care to you and yours

I will be taking my 4 year old, my mom & Oma (who are visiting), to our local prayer house called the Hesychia House. It's such a blessed time when you sign up for your hour of time. For me being a "domesticated engineer", it's nice to have somewhere to go so I'm away from my work so my mind will slow down and quiet it's self before the LORD!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely, thoughtful post. I hold God in my heart everyday, just as he holds me and my loved ones in his hands.
ReplyDeleteLinda ~ Thank you for all of the inspiration that you share! I always feel very blessed and so thankful for all that I come away with after visiting you! I also would love to be entered for the sweet wall hanging! Blessings ~ Teri
ReplyDeleteHi Linda -

I would love to be entered in this giveaway! Thank you Linda! :)
ReplyDeleteI have, quite often, have been singing the worship hymn "If my people...called by My Name....Turn from evil...and seek My face.........Hear our cry! Lord forgive! Come and Heal....Come heal our land!".....It is my way of praying out to God to please heal this land and the hearts of the people to seek Him and renew our first Love. I start to get fearful when I think of the direction of our country lately...but then I remember that GOD is the One truly in control and I rest in that! :)
Thank you for your post. I watched the video and will share with others. The wall hanging is special and I would love to be entered in your giveaway. I am thankful for the Word of God and for the peace it can bring in our lives. Prayer is powerful.
ReplyDeleteI love this. I read nice/insightful message from Pastor Greg Laurie about the National Day of Prayer. It's so important and it makes me happy to see how much it means to others too.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this post, especially when you talked about how much God delights over us. I've had a rough couple of days.. and even though I know that God's love is secure and unwavering towards me...I felt like I had messed up. Maybe God couldn't love me as much.
I had nice discussion with my dad about that. by the way, he has his M.Div in systematic Theology :)..Anyway, I asked "Does God still love us when we mess up?" His reply "He loves us especially when we mess up :)" Thank God for that...literally :)
this made me think of Philippians 4:13 and praying even when I don't have the strength, knowing that Jesus gives me the necessary strength for the day :)
You are a blessing as always :)
