It is late at nigh,t but I just had to tell you this cute story. If Miss Fluff delivers a brood of little chicks and a duck it will be a miracle. The life she is having to live is a little bit much for a Momma Hen!!!!!
Ladies, when we got home tonight from church and noticed that the milk barn door was open I paniced. Now as most of you know that is where the little ducks, baby chickens and Little Miss Fluff live. I noticed that as usual Mr Rooster and Miss Ameraucana (she has beautiful blue green eggs) were sitting on the steps that go down into the little barn. They sleep on the steps every night. When I got inside though you could tell that they had obviously been in the little barn. They had scratched my nice neatly piled hay all over!!!! They had knocked ever thing off the shelves. At this point I was not happy with them. I looked behind the door where Miss Fluff has her nest and she had a pile of hay on the top of her whole body. You couldn't even see her. That poor girl!!! First she looses almost all here eggs and now she had hay that had her covered completely! I could here her clucking away. She was not very happy girl at all!!!!! I had to giggle as I uncovered her. She was really clucking and wanted me to know that she was not a happy camper!!! Thought you might get a kick out of this story. It really was quite funny to hear her clucking and complaining. I love it on the farm!
Don't forget to sign up for the drawing!!!!! I so want you to have a chance to win!

ReplyDeleteChickens are so much fun. So much personality. Thanks for sharing the story. God bless.
ReplyDeleteChickens are so much fun, she made everyone laugh! I had a chicken who did a flying jump on the trampoline, walk to the other side and jump down. It was a funny sight only she alone, every day. Blessings!

Hi Linda ~ Such a cute story...but happy that Miss Fluff is okay...just a bit upset. You know we all have those days. She should be so thankful that you are there to take care of her! Have a wonderful day! Hugs ~ Teri
ReplyDeleteWho needs Hollywood and the movies or tv when there is so much fun and excitment at home on a farm!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing one of your stories, Linda!
Blessings!
Isn't it fun to humanize our animals? I blame Mr Disney but I do it all the time. I even tell my husband what his dog is thinking...I'm really good!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted you to know how much I love coming to your blog every day. I am always showing my grandkids the little videos of the animals and tell them the stories. When I was growing up I always wished I could marry a farmer and live in the country on a farm. Well I am now and always have been a city girl but since finding your blog I can now live out the life of a farm wife through you. Oh also can you please sign me up for the drawing.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, I love this story... but am sure Miss Fluff was not real happy...ha
