  1. Good morning Linda! Enjoy the football. It is the season! We have dreary dark cold weather. But we are very grateful for any moisture that arrives. It was a long dry summer.
We are off to continue to search for a place to live. It say it is scary is an understatment. The world has changed and certainly not for the better! One house for rent, one hundred plus applicants. Please pray. Have a beautiful day with your family! Blessings Anne

  2. Good afternoon Linda..

I am sure you are having a wonderful time with your family at the football game. Those are always just amazing aren't they?

We headed off to the Farmers Market this morning..and then for a short walk. Found out I must walk on the flat ground for awhile, so didn't get to climb my mountain this morning. I hope you know that is a joke. One of our streets has an incline and to me that is a mountain, so once I get to the top I feel like I've climbed Mt Everest or something...ha

Our weather is beautiful and it was just so lovely to be out in it today.

Good luck to everyone who signed up for your drawing. Through your daughters hands, God will pick a winner:)

    Blessings...
    xoxo Gert

  3. Hi Linda,
Have missed commenting to you lately but have been keeping up with you. Loved your posts about your trip to Jayhawk land. My husband played football there and so it's a pretty special place to us...but two of our girls went to K-State...go figure???? We are now supportive of both! I would love to visit those shops you told us about. I so enjoyed seeing all the pictures. When I was younger, I didn't enjoy "browsing". But now I love to just look. Oh don't get me wrong...I love to buy too but I can browse and be content too.
I wish you lived closer as I would hire you to bake those adorable decorated cookies for every holiday! Maybe you should start a "Baking Business".
Hoping you are enjoying your weekend.
We are staying home all weekend and keeping check on my mom who is now in the nursing home. I know your momma is there as well. Please tell me it will get easier and that my mom will adjust. She is having such a hard time right now and so angry and agitated. We are unable to see her right now as they are trying to settle her and get meds adjusted to calm but not sedate. I just put it all in God's hands and pray all will be well.
Your blog is always such an uplift to me!

  4. Hello.........so nice to hear from you all!

Anne I prayed and asked the Lord to help you find a HOME......can't wait until I hear what He did.......I am waiting with you!

Hi Gert......I didn't get to go to one Farmer's Market this year.........I love to go! It would be so fun to go with YOU! Had a lot of fun watching the football game. They went back and forth and back and forth........we didn't have football in Alaska......heehee!

Tanya......you are so fun......the girls and I were just talking about how fun it would be to have our own coffee house bakery shop.......then you said that......hmm would be so fun! I wish I was my own boss still. Love our boss......just hard! You know what I mean.......!!!

So sad about your momma. We were not separated from her. Not sure why they do that with your Mom. You are wise to keep it with the Father. It is all so hard. We took my Momma on rides and she did good. Now we can't do that.....she is in a wheel chair all the time. She called me by my name the other day. Two times....kind of freaked me out......because she usually can't talk. Oh heaven will be so wonderful!
I trust you will get to see your Momma real soon! I am so glad she is close to you! I told my girls about your husband playing for KU.....they both said what was his name! We did have a blast. If you live close by sometime I want to meet you. Lawrence that is. Hugs, Linda
