Another Invite.........A Wedding!

Hello sweet ladies,

I have to write tonight, because I will be at a wedding tomorrow. It will be different than any........ I have ever been to. The couple will be marring at a Camp. They want everyone to stay and eat and play the day away.
The invitation said this:

The Wedding Celebration
will be an all day event of fellowship & community. We would love to
EAT + LAUGH + PLAY
We woud like to offer you a day of retreat to enjoy the simple joys of life.

The evening will be spent together singing praises to the Lord. I can hardly wait. My soul is in need of a worship night, singing under the stars. I know He will meet us!!!!!!!! I think it is so precious that the groom and bride want to do this. They are celebrating marriage! It seems like a very neat way to start it off. Family and friends.

My sweet man and I will hold hands. We always renew our vows when we go to weddings. We are coming up on our 37th. I can't imagine my life with any other!

We met the bride this last year at the college that we serve at. I don't call it work anymore. We are on an assignment from the Lord to go and minister to the teachers, workers and young people at the college. Our family is seeing that clearly. We have been involved with some of the kids... even this summer. You know I have consciously asked the Lord to help me see the good in leaving my Home for part of my day with my family. He has. A lot of young people......far away from home.......they need a family......God has let us be that to a few. It is a good thing.

Today I received an email. I will not put her name on, but I have to show you. My heart was touched. In fact this little girl is so precious........ I just had to share. Amazing.........God will work  in the hearts of children especially if we teach them. Made me almost cry. Was so encouraged. You know every time I put up a post I wonder is it going to even make a difference or encourage someone. Today it did. I love it and I love this little girl and I don't even know her. I will be praying God will use her. God used her..... in my life.....BIG TIME!

  3. Ohm how precious, Linda. And don't think for a minute that you are not making a difference in someone's life. You touch mine all the time, and I'm sure that there is someone out there whose need is met each time you post. I love your attitude toward your "ministry" at the campus, and I can't imagine it being anything but just that. I thank God for you!

  9. Linda, I love that you said your job is not your work but rather your assignment from the Lord. I love that attitude, and I am going to share that with friends. Already I'm thinking of my job in a new and different way. Thank you so much.

Blessings and congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! We are at #34 this year.
