It is SONday and He Is My Shepherd!

Good morning sweet ladies,

As you know I had quite the day yesterday. I am so thankful I finally caught the cookbook mistake. I was on Gooseberry Patches facebook and I saw the name of the right cookbook.......I was in panic.   Eeeecckkkk!!!!!!!!! I went into high gear.......looked for the other cookbook found it. I made the party right. I am hearing from you ladies that it is okay. My girl I work with at Gooseberry Patch is on vacation........ugh! Couldn't even talk with her. It will be fun to have two winners!

Prairie Flower Farm/Gooseberry Patch Party!

Go HERE, if you haven't signed up and would love to have you enter.

Yesterday was quite eventful with Willow, Twig and Leaf. On Thursday night Willow and her babies got out and ran all over the farm ground.......down to the mile road.....over to the neighbors wheat field, over the highway......they were just plain naughty!!!!!! So we have been cutting down tree limbs and letting them eat fresh greens that way. Wellllllll V and I decided to see if we could put a halter on Willow (so we could stake her out).........wrong.........DO NOT EVER GO INSIDE A PEN WITH BABIES ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE LOCKED PEN! Everything was going pretty good. A lot of dust was flying but good. Then she got to movin' and the next thing I knew she started pushing me (she wasn't being mean). V had a hold of her neck trying to get the halter on. She turned and I was smacked up against the pen's wall. Hit my head, glasses flew and I hurt both of my hands. Right then I decided that she really didn't want a halter on. DUH, it takes some of us die hards to get it! I looked up and V was "for real" wrestling her. He was not going to let go. There was so much dust flying. I was giggling so hard......so was V. I said, "LET HER GO"!!!!!! I got up and opened the pen........and LET HER OUT! She was glad......I am sure she thought "what is wrong with those two". I wish I could have gotten pictures......and then again! We are still laughing even though we have some aches (I think me more than V). I am so thankful the Lord is blessing V's life.  He loves all the animals here on our farm........so do I.

Twig's face........sweetest don't you think?

I know I got a shadow on his face, but I love this pic of Leaf. Love his brown on his face.

Trusting you all will have a blessed and restful day with the Lord today. Know you are precious in His sight........oh and me too!

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
                                                               Psalm 23

Hugs to your day!!!!!!!

  1. Hi Linda
It is lovely to get your posts in my inbox, but I do miss leaving comments, so thought I'd come over & say hello to you. I always enjoy hearing about how V is going ~ I've been praying for him & you all. Your babies are so cute ~ we should be getting lambs in July & I love baby lambs around the place ~ so exciting! We also looked at our sow the other day & she is decidedly round, so we are thinking that we will be getting some piglets here at Sunnyside in the next few months!!
Hope you have a wonderful day & thank you for your lovely posts!
    Love to you
    Renata:)

  3. Happy Palm Sunday! What a time with the sheep you had! Hope you get the fence done soon! Nice that you could laugh about it, bonding!
Psalm 23 was the 1st scripture I ever memorized, cause it was said at my mother's funeral when I was 10. That summer I would look up at the sky think about her being up there in heaven. It is still my favorite scripture.
    Blessings to you this week!

  4. Linda I am sorry to be laughing (at your and V's expense), but after reading your post I could just picture the whole hilarious thing. Glad there wasn't any real blood shed. Prayers to you and V and any residual aches. Twig and Leaf sure are precious, despite their natural antics. Giggle.

  5. Hi, Linda: Mothers, human or otherwise, go crazy when someone messes with their kids. One time I heard that some girls were going to hurt my daughter (in high school then) over a cheerleading thing and I thought my heart was going to jump out of my body. The overpowering feeling of someone even thinking of hurting your child was unreal. Nothing happened, Thank God, but boy, I was ready! So glad you and V didn't get hurt. He is one sweet little boy to be blessed with such a wonderful family especially you.
