This Is So God!!!!!!

My sister's devotion said,

The godly walk with integrity; blessed are

their children who follow them.

~ Proverbs 20:7, NLT

This is so precious for Shannon and myself. God spoke to us this morning. Now we will take the baton from Poppa and run. So our children can follow, as we keep our eyes on the Lord. He will not fail us.

Needing prayer this day, thank you!

Blessings,
Linda

I lost my dad in December and the pain is still so fresh. But God is the comforter of our broken hearts. May you feel his comfort and rest.

  2. How wonderful that God gave you both such a fitting devotion! I'm thankful for your witness of a strong heart. You may not feel it, but that is what I'm seeing and I know it is because you are leaning on Him for comfort!

Praying for you and your family, but most especially on this day my friend~

  5. I've been thinking of you all day, and praying it's a beautiful day to lay your Poppa to rest.
What a party up in heaven. Love what you shared today. You can't imagine how it spoke to me and I'll share it with you another day...in the days to come.
We were definitely purposed to cross paths;-- it's about the baton.
God bless you this day. May He wrap His arms around you all and comfort you.
You have a race to run with perseverence.

  6. Praying for you, Linda, Shannon and family.

Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." To those they leave behind, it leaves a sadness but to the Lord, it's a time of rejoicing that one of His has come home!

  7. Everyone has left to go to their homes. It was such a wonderful memorable time. The weather here in Kansas has been so cold, but today the Lord gave us a warm sunny day. We were so thankful. The different families that came were such a blessings to us and my grandchildren were so sweet. When I was sitting in the front row with my sis my little granddaughter Savannah came from behind me and put her arms around me. It was so wonderful to have her hugging so close. Our Poppa had been in the Navy. The Navy was represented by two young men who folded the flag in front of my sis and I. One bent down in front of us and presented us with the flag that had been draped over the casket. Our family is so grateful for the men and women who have fought for our freedoms, so it was wonderful for our children and grandchildren to see. We will miss Poppa very much, but we are so thankful that he can breathe. That makes it easier to handle.

Thank you, so much for taking the time to leave a note today.
    Blessings, Linda and Shannon
