Momma

Only have a minute. My little momma is in the hospital. Aspirated last night. She is stable. On my way over to see her. Life............! Was suppose to be having Grammie and Poppa Camp last night and today........ changes.......... God just give the strength to get through this day, please. Drama! At it's worst! Smile! My momma is 78... Alzheimer's. She is so precious.... she can't talk......... just with her eyes. That is good enough for me! Wish it was different.

Lift us up in prayer please. I had so planned to have a fun post today of the funnies that went on yesterday with Mr. Phil and I at the fence. That will have to wait.

Thankful we are in the Lord's care. Couldn't do this without Him.

I thought it was suppose to be easier when we got older........ not!!!!!!!

Leaving to go see her.
Blessings,

  1. Bless your heart. Praying for you, and for your mother. I always thought it got easier too, but alas, I think we were both wrong. Thank God HE never fails. Cast all your cares on Him, and let Him carry them.

  16. Oh, that must be soo hard. I am thinking about it and trying to put myself in your shoes. I think I would be glad that I lived near her. You can be with her during this trial and even though she can't say anything to you about it, it must mean so much to have you close.

I'll be praying for you today.

  17. Praying for your mama and you...
It does seem that life should get easier as we get older but sometimes...
At least we have a God who loves and cares for us and will comfort us through our trials.
Know that you are loved and being thought of!

  19. Linda, I am so sorry to hear of your Mama's troubles. I haven't had my Mom since I was 16 and often wonder how different my life would have been with her there. I still do have a wonderful Mom-in-law and hate to think of her in pain and suffering. Love and prayers to you and family.

  25. Hello, What sweetie ladies you all are. Please keep telling me things you need prayer for. I will pray.

We went over to the hospital this morning and she was doing better. She is such a little thing in that huge hospital bed. She made eye contact with my eyes and then looked over at her Mr. Phil. She loves him so much! She was always so grateful that I had a man that took such good care of me.

She is now back at the manor and eating. I am so thankful, but very worn out!! Smile. All the grandchildren have gone home. The time was quite eventful to say the least. They did have a lot of fun though. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the prayers. You really mean so much to me!

Praying that God will bless you all!

    Hugs, Linda

  27. Praying for you and your mama, it is hard to watch our parents go through sickness as they get older. So glad she is doing better. The Lord is good.

  28. Will definitely be praying for you and yours. My mom had Alzheimers too. It is a dreadful disease. And life does not get easier as you get older. The problems are just bigger. I don't know what people do whose trust is not in the Lord. We have assurance that God loves His children, He's in complete control, and will accomplish His purposes.

P.S. I'm going to try to track down your jalapeno raspberry jam.
