This Last Weekend...... We Met HIM At the Cross!

Hello sweet ladies,

I am having to leave to go work with my honey at the site today, but I wanted to leave this picture with you. My daughter Tressa took this picture. We met the Lord at the Cross! Our
souls were refreshed at camp as a family. Thank you Jesus! I will write tonight about our time.

Missed you all and thought many times, I wish my blogger family could be with!! I prayed for you though!

I would love to hear what your weekend was like.

P.S. The one that blessed us with the sweet love gift.......... Thank you very much.

Blessings from the farm,

  1. I love that picture. So glad your family enjoyed some time away at camp. I experienced my first tornado this weekend. It was 1000 feet from our house. You can read about it on my blog. Have a super day!

  2. So glad you're back! In your absence, I read just about every post of yours :)

We also spent several hours with friends at their lake place (our whole small group enjoyed lunch together along with a pontoon boat ride). It was really hot, but I jumped into the water before and after the lake cruise :)

After a good church service yesterday, we basically crashed the rest of the day....

Welcome back. I pray for safety & good progress on the project today.

  5. I'm glad you got the chance to attend family camp together. The lake looks wonderful! Our family used to do that in the summers. Sorry to hear that your Momma has been in the hospital. I am praying for her.

  6. Sounds like you had a wonderfully, blessed weekend, I am so glad. Just like everywhere else it has been so hot here which makes it hard to do much. I don't know how you build fences in the heat, may God protect you. Oh, my hubby and I went to our local, cheap movie theatre and saw Ramona and Beezus. This is a great family movie, rated G. We really enjoyed it and hope you get to see it.
Hope to hear good news on your Momma soon.
    Blessings, Jeannie

  7. I put up a new post this morning about our time at Extreme Kansas Camp! It was a real special time for our family! One we won't forget.

Kim, I went over to your post. Oh my! Your lake looked like you could have been right next to us. I left you a comment after I read about the tornado. You were so blessed, but you already know that! Smile. Thank you for coming over. I love your blog. So full of lots of needfuls!

Becky, so glad to have you back into my life. I told Mary Roots that you had written. She squealed! She is on vacation now, but I did give her one of your blogs so she could come over. We did have good progress on the job. It was hot, so by the end of the day we were tired! I'll be over to see your blog today!

Tammy, you are so right about good night sleep after fencing. This job also had a bit of picking up rocks. Ugh!!!! Every time I see your logo on my comments, I see your adorable chicken Coop!!!! Wanna be like you! Oh that makes me think you wrote me. Oops, about the curtain? I was not at home and my daughter read the email to me. I will have to go find you. sorry!!! I can make you anything you want. Could you just write again? After I came home Sunday night, I went to check on the baby chicks. Mrs. Red had 5 so I let her loose in the little milk barn before we left. I think the grandkids got in and moved my bricks away from the doorway. The babies were gone. I was sad. There was a crack under the door way. They probably went to the light and got out. Cats are on the other side.

Gert you are such a sweetie. Love that you are concerned about us in the heat. It is hot and sometimes I just don't move to catch my breath! Lots and lots of water!!!!!!

Daisies, Thank you so much for praying for my momma! You are so sweet!. I bet you have lots of memories from your campin days! I love it. Just like being in another world.

Jeannie, we did have fun. I don't really like building fences, but it is a "have to". Thank you for asking for protection. It means so much to me! I will look into that movie. We always are looking for something good. Not much out there so we don't watch! Momma is doing very well. Not sure what the thing was. They thought an allergic reaction to something.

Have a good day. Have two grandchildren coming out. There will be time working on the fort I am sure!
    Blessings, Linda

  8. Oh, Linda! I was going to ask you if you still keep in touch with Mary! I can't wait to hear from her. (I guess I'll HAVE to!)

  9. What a picture! What I am thinking while gazing into that cross if incredible. The Lord is tugging at my heart and He is starting to give me some answers. I continue to need prayer. Linda, I am not sure you knew that my Mother-in-law passed away. We have been at funeral and such. Thank you for your kindnesses. Anne

  10. Linda, I just found your site and can't stop reading about your adventures. My husband and I took a trip to Dewy, OK for fence material. 24' sticks on a 16' trailer. It wasn't a pretty site. We prayed for God to ride with us safely all the way home and to keep the highway patrol busy and not looking for hillbillies hauling steel pipes. God blessed us and gave us lots to laugh about.
I was born in Wichita, KS but live in Elkland, MO. About 35 miles from Springfield. Recently our last calf was born. Her momma is a baldy and the calf is all black. Had the calf been a heifer her name was going to be Bella. It started storming, this momma cow always calves during a storm. Sure enough the wind was blowing and lo and behold OZ was born. He is a cutie.
You have a wonderful blog and God has given you many Blessings. Thank you for sharing.
