Saturday Was A Very Special Day!

Hello sweet ladies,
I made a call in the morning.......to a neighbor who is a sheep and goat keeper. She is so wise and always has time to teach you things that you need to know about animals. She also is a CHRISTian and just has the sweetest love towards all those she meets and her animals on her farm. We had talked last week about me getting a Momma Ewe and she told me that she had just sold a Ewe with a black face and triplets......oh mannnnn! That is okay, I know the Lord has the right Momma for me! Anyway I called and told her that my Taylor (17) wanted to help her, if she had an orphan lamb that need bottle feeding. She has called us before when she had to many babies to feed. She said yes........so off to Crescent C Farm we went, not telling Tay where we were going! We wanted to surprise her.

I walked out our back door and noticed the farm cats all bundled up........just had to take time to take a pic to show you. I knew all you cat lovers would like!

This guy meet us when we drove up in to the yard at Crescent C Farm! He was a goat that had the umbilical cord wraooed around the bottom part of his leg so he limps. I thought his coat was so different and pretty. He is one loved goat.

The Farmgirl took us over to one of the pens that had some of the Momma's and new babies. Adorableness! We had so much rain days before, that they were not as cute and fluffy as usual, but still cute.

We went on and saw this.........perfect......Momma and baby! Love this picture!

Tay couldn't wait......off to the orphan barn........to see her little one! First thing we saw was this adorable tiny orphaned baby goat.......peeking his little head out between the gate. The nose to the left is one of the orphaned lambs....... soon to be Tay's little guy.

Here they were, Tay's little guy is to the right of the baby goat. He was tiny and already 3 weeks old.

She picked him up and he was all over her. Trying to suck all over her face!!! Just the sweetest babies and they can become such nice pets when you get them this little. She was sold!

I took some picks around the farm........thought of you! One of their farm cats and two baby goats (kids) all cuddled together.
Sweet sight~

Looked up in the rafters........a Banty Girly! I really liked their barn full of farm life!

Mr. Billy Goat wanted to say hello........to you!

Before we left Tay had to hold "Little Billy Goat".

It was time to say good by to Crescent C Farm and time to go to Squirt's new Home!

He was going to stay in the Milk House with the Bantom girls, roosters, some of the farm cats and the baby chicks! Perfect! He would have plenty of friends to keep him company, because he was going to miss his buddy's at the other farm! The farm cat loved Squirt,  kept smelling the milk on Squirt's lips! I know I have said this before......but I love the life the Lord has given me on Prairie Flower Farm!

The farm cat and Squirt were going to be friends, that was a good thing!

Blessings on your SONday, be sure to get a little rest!

Linda

P.S. I have a surprise for tomorrow! Can't wait to tell you alllllll about it! Oh and it isn't a Momma Ewe with a baby in her tummy........still asking the Lord to provide that one!

Here is a video that where Squirt drinking the end of his milk.......thought you might like to see! I put it up on facebook yesterday.......so some have seen it!

Raining.........Snow Expected On Saturday!!!!!!!

Hello sweet ladies...........

It has been raining at Prairie Flower Farm and I have been thankful! So has all the other farm families around us. The sound has been wonderful. Lots of thunder in the middle of the night, but it didn't matter.......just hearing it made us know that God was answering the farmers prayers! When we got home I went to do the chores and it just smelt wonderful outside! It was still raining and the drops on the mud puddles looked so pretty! We just haven't had much rain fall for some time.....so when we get it we are a little bit happy to say the least.

So are the ducks and the chickens who have finally gone into the big coop! The girls are wet......but I am sure they enjoyed the rain as much as we have! They will be cleaning their feathers.

Yesterday when I came home from the bakery I had a box and a letter waiting for me. I love mail! Inside the box were some lovely Valentine presents from my dear friend Susan who lives in Texas. She also had some wonderful teas.......my Tressy and I are enjoying one of the bags right now. It is called African Autumn by Harney & Sons.......very very good on a cool rainy night! The letter was from another friend who sent the most beautiful card that had a tea cup on the front of the card and a tea bag of White/Black Currant placed in the cup. It was so nice to come home from work with special gifts a waiting me! Thank you sweet friends!

I have two blessings that have happened in my life. One is at work our boss has given us permission to listen to our ipods. We are listening to book stories....which makes the time at work go so fast. Another one of the girls is listening to the same story as I am. The Secret by Beverly Lewis. It has truly been a gift! Today another girls asked if we could put the story on her mp3 player. It was an answer to prayer for me. God is so in the details of not only my life, but the ones I have come to care about "very much" at work! The books I have chosen have the plan of salvation....."clear". I wouldn't read anything different. I tell the girls up front. God has a place in each of their hearts......to yearn for HIM

The other day there was a young man at the cafeteria. He was really sad and I could tell. I asked how he was doing and he said, "not good, not good at all". I told him I would pray.....he just nodded. The next morning I saw him at breakfast, he didn't look so good again.......told him I was praying for him......he said, "you are"? Then I saw him at lunch.....he had a smile.....told him I was still praying......he said mornings are hard......I said I was talking to Jesus about him.......he smiled. I think I have made a friend.......hope one day he will trust Jesus for his all. Those who love God.......be a witness....so many need our Jesus!

This not my Momma Sheep, but I am praying about her!

My other blessing is that my sweet man has agreed to my having a Momma sheep with a baby inside her! Now I don't have the Momma yet, but I have been researching about getting her. I will be going to the sale barn on the 18th of February, with my sweet man......he helps me to buy wise, because I can't always keep up with the auctioneer) smile! So thankful he is agreeing to my dream......he said though, "NO GOATS........that's where I draw the line......smile he knows how to keep a reign on me......I would buy every kind of animal if he would let me! That is okay I love sheep....they are so funny when the hop around on all their feet! I can't wait. When she comes to our farm her name will be Willow and the babies name will be Twig unless she has twins......hmmmm a name?  If you could pray with.......I would so appreciate it. I have a little shed that I will be having them live in and a picket fence around it. I will let you see as I work on it!!!! Again........I can't wait!!!!!!! A new family member.....building our farm.......so you can come and visit and meet Willow and Twig.

I read this about a Shepherd.......it could be referring to the Lord. A Shepherd leads a sheep. He doesn't push or herd them like cattle. If the sheep has to traverse a narrow mountain path, the Shepherd will stand on the outside edge, with his back to the open side of a cliff, hold out his arms with the rod in one hand and the staff in the other, making himself a fence so the sheep will continue their journey up the narrow path...........just like my Jesus with me....even though I have felt like sometimes I was falling off the ledge....... again so grateful to know Truth

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

I will........I am Home.....and lovin it!

Blessings,

Linda

It Is Raining!!!!!!!! Bet The Ducks Are Dancing!

Hello Sweet ladies,

When we got home today the sky to the west was getting so dark. They said we were going to get a storm and some rain. I was sitting and a loud boom went off......it was thunder......something we have not heard much of for some time! It is raining and it sounds wonderful........smells wonderful also! Thanking Jesus. The crops will benefit so much from this rain.......snow is coming also. I will like that!

I have a little news from Regina.......this will bless your heart........precious stuff!

A lady in Pascagoula, MS saw a post on FB and started praying for Tenlee.  As she prayed, God began to speak to her and told her that Tenlee was not the only one that needed healing.  She did too, through Christ.  She accepted Christ through praying for Tenlee.  My niece shared this with me this morning.  I told Kisa and her words say it all, "God has me in awe!!!"

Now that is just like the Lord......always working in everyone's life to bring them right where they need to be. Such an awesome God we have. He never wastes our sufferings ladies.

I have a precious young pregnant momma in my life. Her name is Rachel. She has been very very sick during her pregnancy. It has been a very hard time. Her sweet husband has been having to be with.......please keep her in your prayers that God would give them some answers. I think it is hormone imbalance. If any of you have any ideas please let me know. Thank you!!!!!!!

Love you sweet ladies.......I am turning in. Can't wait for tomorrow afternoon..........back Home on the Farm! Peace in my heart!!!!!!!

Oh......the lights just flickered.......looks like it's a bit red on the radar south of us! They have it saying severe weather. Praying for protection for people in Kansas!

Hugs,

Linda

Five Cochin Girly Eggs in the BASKET!

Hello sweet ladies............
We have a precious letter from Regina..........

You know, lots of times we hear people say, "I'll pray for you."  and you never really know if they did or not.  That was not the case with Tenlee.  We saw many miracles such as friends taking care of kiddos, bringing food, and sharing the burden when we needed to cry or laugh.   I knew you guys were praying and I thought I would share a few of the miracles that came about because you care.

1.  The surgery...it was amazing!  One of the doctors drew a diagram of the surgery on Tenlee's door.  Even after looking at it every time I went through the door, I still can't wrap my brain around all the work that went into forming those chambers and making them work together the way they were supposed to.  AND, Dr. Harrell did such a good job sewing her heart that it didn't leak at all.  I don't have any idea how many or how small those stitches are, but when the other doctor drew the diagram, it had over 50 stitches just in one little area.

2.  A nurse named Gail...she went to work immediately after the "problem" occurred.  Kisa was able to visit with her and tell her that she probably saved Tenlee's life and that she would always be grateful.

3.  Tenlee's heart...it went from being damaged from the CPR to the point of needing to have surgery done again to working right!  Tenlee's kidneys, liver, and heart all started working without the aid of medicine.  Her lungs are getting better by the minute.  Don't you love seeing miracles?!

4.  The power of touch...Tenlee's blood pressure dropped lower than it should have been.  The nurses were about to give her platelets when John, Tenlee's dad, reached over and touched her head.  As he rubbed her head, her blood pressure rose right up to where it should be.  No platelets needed!

5.  And you...what an awesome miracle to behold, the number of people that stopped each day to lift Tenlee in prayer!  We will never know who you are and can never thank you enough.  I know that many of you forwarded our emails and text messages to others so please do that again.  We want you all to know that you will forever hold a special place in our hearts and in Tenlee's new heart!  We love you all,

Jack & Regina Tonn (Pawpaw & Nonna)
Kisa & John Luther (Mom & Dad)
McKenzie & Braydon (sister & brother)
and so many more!

I just want to thank all of you also.........Prairie Flower Farm has become a place of prayer! Ladies, pray for your sweet men, children, grandchildren, family members, friends, those in government, state..........the list goes on! It is so important that we let the Lord know we need His help. We have just been shown how important it is!  Blessings to all of you for your the time you gave to this precious family!

Hope you had a good day! Mine was baking for a catering, breakfast, lunch and dinner desserts. Tressa made the "famous" Chocolate Chip Cookie dough Cupcakes recipe. She made over 200........I think they are one of the kids favorites! The day went by fast! For that I am so grateful......I think some of you pray that for us! Smile!

As soon as I got home I ran down to the milk house to check on the Cochin Girlies........I saw 4 eggs IN THE NEW BASKET, the one I bought at Hobby Lobby. Most of the time they lay their eggs in the nest boxes and only one in the basket, but not today! I was so excited! That means at least one of the girlies will sit on some eggs in the basket, which I wanted so bad!

I went back about an hour later to gather the eggs and feed the babies......another girlie had laid another egg! That was a total of 5 eggs in the basket today! My idea worked to get them at least used to the basket. I can just see babies on top of their Momma's back in the basket. The egg on the far left was soft  and rubbery. A girl is laying eggs for the first time.......she will have a hard one probably next the time.

Thought I would show you a few of my finds today on Pinterest!

Isn't it so pretty? I found it at V and Co.  Need a sign for Prairie Flower Farm and a Fresh Farm Eggs. Cute cute cute!!!!!  I have lots of farm boards!

Another sweet find!!!!!!! Easy......now to find a square stool! I have the burlap........like the ruffle with the wood showing.

This pin didn't have a place to go back to, but like.......a lot!!!!!

Can't you see this on the side of a barn or maybe in my Potter's Shed? Just have to cut down some tree limbs and some spindly branches. I have the berries.......I will make.

This is so so cute with the chicken wire around the jar. Not expensive.

Victorian Trading Co.

Saw this today on Pinterest.........I am getting!!!!!!!!! I am ordering this tonight.  It is well worth the money! Not even expensive. This will come in sooooo handy. I know that we will not get out of having a cold winter (snow forcast for Thurs, Friday and Saturday). I can hang my clothes on the back porch! Isn't this the cutest thing??

Well sweet ladies............I can't wait to see if we are going to get snow. I know they say rain! We will take that also! Just need to see some snow before the winter is up, right?

Hugs and God bless you all!

A Good Day!

Hello Sweet ladies,

Is this the most precious pic??????

I heard from Regina. "Little Tenlee is off the the ECMO machine! Singing praises. She is still on the ventilator but that is the next step! Love you!" Regina

Praising the Lord for His goodness. What a precious gift they have received. A journey they will never forget. Thank you ladies for your kindness that you have shown to this precious family. You didn't even know them and you became such a huge part of their life! You are so so wonderful!

Please continue to ask the Lord to help that her lungs would get back to normal and she could also get off the ventilator!!!!!!

I found this on Pinterest........cute cute cute!!!!!!! I am making!

This craft is found on Simply Prim........she said it is easy peasy! I will let you know! I want them to hang on my kitchen cupboards.
When I find something I like I like and this is it!!

Makes the bakery a little bit more like HOME!

It kind of helps me at work when I bring some of my things to put and use in the bakery. I brought this cup this last weekend and put some eggs in it while I was baking today.......cute!!!!!!! I thought I would take a pic of it so you could see! I also have 2 bowls that I am using out of the same design. Got them at Hobby Lobby 50% off. I love sales! It just makes my bakery just a little bit like home!

The salad girls were making a fresh fruit salad (apples, pears, fresh pineapple, bananas, tangerines) today and needed a dressing. I asked if I could make.......it turned out so good. Thought I would share.

Strawberry Dressing
1 cup Vanilla Yogurt
juice and zests form 1 lemon
2 T. honey
4 large strawberries
1/2 c.  of raspberries
1/2 tea. poppy seeds
Place ingr. in food processor. Pour and mix
over fruit.

ENJOY!

When I came home tonight I immediately went outside. We are to get some rain and flurries maybe on Thursday so I need to make the most out of this beautiful weather!!!!!!

Kitty and Koko were together out in the corral tonight! I really like Koko's mane. It is kind of curly! Different then any of our other horses!

Then when I got home tonight I went down to let Whitey (the rooster that was wounded) out. He was doing so much better and thought he could be put back with the others...........wrong. He got in a fight with the Mottled Rooster. Picked him up put him back in his cage........ I will be fixing up a place for he and his wife. I will have to do that to all the other chickens that have mates. I would love to have chicks of their kind! Then I will be selling them at the Yoder Auction! Can't wait. This weekend I will get busy on fixing some cages up, if it isn't snowing!

Time for sleep!!!!!!!! It is Tues. night.

I did a fun thing today on fb. I asked the question If you could go anywhere for a day where would you go and what would you do? If you want to answer again and already did on fb feel free......but if you aren't a "like" on my fb........you can answer here!!!!!!!

Hugs sweeties.........you make my days special. May Jesus bless you!!!!!!!! He knows that you sure bless me! Love you sweet ladies,

A Sweet Day on SONday!

Hello  Sweet Ladies,

I did not hear anything from Regina yesterday so I knew that things must have been going the same. This morning she wrote,....

Tenlee's ECMO machine is set at 250.  That means Tenless's heart is doing most of the work.  I guess you could say she using her training wheels right now.  The PICU doctor changed this morning and a new one will be staying there for a while.  So, until this doctor feels that Tenlee is ready, they will not shut the ECMO off for Tenlee to take completely over.  They are not turning it off at all right now, just waiting and watching.  She's truly a "rockstar".  She is wiggling around so much.  To go from no movement at all to arms and legs flapping around in the air is pretty impressive.  I told Jack this morning that she must be ready to wake up and see what's happening.
I'm sure I will hear from Jack if anything changes and will share with you right away.  Love you all, Regina

I will keep you posted when she writes again. They so appreciate our prayers!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!! God has been so merciful! Continue to pray please.

Yesterday was a relaxed and wonderful day on the farm. Unusually warm here for this time of year.  I had to get outside in the afternoon, so I walked around the farm with camera in hand. Our little farm has very old buildings around and has lots of places that the buildings are falling down, but I love taking the pictures of them. . They all have stories that will be remembered for forever.

I bought the basket that was on sale at Hobby Lobby.......it is beautiful. I put it down in the little Milk House..........the little Banty Cochin Hens are laying eggs up a storm these days. Trusting that one of the Girls will use the basket nest by the time spring rolls around and fills it with her eggs..............

a Girlie used it yesterday....and left me an egg........not sure which one ......but she sure made this farm girl happy!!!!!!

Walked out to see the horses........Tildy was enjoying her day scratching in the prairie hay.

Then off to the milk barn.........I hadn't been up in the loft for some time. I knew there were old milk cans and milk buckets there and thought a picture would be nice.........turned out better than I thought! Wish I could show it to Grandpa Jack, he has been gone for some time.......they were his.....he was a dairy man. We won't move them.......so when the family comes back they will get to see them just the way they have been for years.

I came upon the old chicken coop. It is very old and is falling down, but I love the old wood, windows, doors and hinges. We hope to get it torn down one of these days.....our son said he would help me........want to put my herb garden there. It will be wonderful  soil.

I like seeing  barbed wire hanging around.

It was a nice day.........a day of rest.

Hope yours was as well.

Blessings,

Linda

It is SONday.........Enjoy it! He Made It...For YOU!

Hello Sweet ladies,

"The nurses are getting Tenlee ready to do a trial run coming off the the ecmo machine.......the heart machine. the heart machine. They will stop and start it over and over to strengthen her heart. Tehy are looking at having her completely off within 24 hours she has been a wiggle worm. She's moving both arms and legs and her head. Dr. said sedate her some more so she will stop moving so much. I'll send a note after trial run starts.  She will remain on ventilator until lungs get stronger". from Grandma Regina

Tenlee and her precious Momma, Kisa.
This is an earlier picture right before the heart operation.

This must be so hard on them all to watch their precious little one. So please continue to keep her tucked in you heart and before the King of Kings! He is hearing us and is faithful, even if it doesn't look like what we want it to look like! The family so appreciates that you are all standing in the gap on behalf of their family.

Also just heard from Charlotte's Grandma Francine, she said that she is doing much better. Her fever spiked to 105.9. Breaking into a rash on Friday night at the hospital. They feel like she started out with the flu and a couple weeks ago and it just never got better. Then it progressed into Adenovirus and bacterial pneumonia. Around 1:00 in the early Saturday morning hours, Grandma felt a peace come over her. Precious God we serve. Thank you all for the prayers.

Yesterday we ran into town to do a little shopping. While we were there we went out to one of our son's place. They just had a new baby boy cow and so I just had to see. Anything baby is right down my alley! Is he adorable or what?

Baby was checking out one of the other steers.  Momma soon turned on the steer!
Look at how full Momma cow is with milk! Wish I could get some of that.......she would kick me so I can't!!!!!!

I want one.......heehee......my sweet man will say no....... so I won't even ask. Good reason! With the horrible drought and all a Momma and baby would be to much to buy hay for. So I will just dream and wait.......until some day I can have one! Baby chicks don't cost that much!

They went over the hill........so Momma could feed her baby in peace.

Momma let us ooo and ahhh and then she said, "come on baby......I can only share you for so long! We need some quiet time! She is a good Momma Cow!

My sweet man did chores before church this morning.......Momma Duck has a make shift box I made for her this last week in a hurry, because she and another Momma were laying eggs allllll over the chicken yard. One of the Moms left this egg..........for me this morning. Trusting they will be laying more this spring and we will have some more baby ducklings. I lost my 9 young ducklings last year to the dogs. We are building the pen bigger this spring........with a picket fence around the wire painted white. With a gate........oooohhhh can't wait! One side will be for the ducks and the other for the Girlies! This afternoon I am going to find a wooden box and fill it with straw. I had this box filled to the top with straw.......think one of my "Girlie Hens" or two or three got in and took it all out. I make nice straw nests and they kick or scratch it out! Figure!

Have a precious day!!!!!!!

Father.......thank You so for a day of rest.......that we can come and sit at Your feet and glean from Your Word, so we will be stronger for the week that is set before us. You are so precious to us Father and we so need YOUR WORD. I can't imagine what my life would be if it wasn't for You. Even when I fall.......You are  there to pick me up....... when I are (I just reread this......I bet the Lord laughed at my "are" instead of am, hee) ready and confess. I bring little Tenlee and her precious family before You and thank You for all the provisions that You have made for her in this last week. Amazing! Please encourage the Doctors, Nurses and the Tech by using the Luther family. We are asking for healing, but trusting that You  have a perfect plan for Tenlee's life. If we need to be doing more then just praying please make that knows to us. We love and thank You for calling us Your children.........we so need a Shepherd in these days!

In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen

Because of the LORD'S Great love we are not consumed,
for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for Him."
The LORD is good to those whose HOPE is in Him,
to the one who seeks Him;
Lamentations 3:22-25

Ladies that is a promise.......for those who "SEEK" Him........we have such a precious Father "in Heaven"!

Hugs from our farm!

Linda

You are so loved by Jesus........and me!

Oh, by the way.........we slept soooo good last night......mmmm the smell of fresh air on our pillow cases........thankful I can hang our clothes on the line!!!!!! Smells like a garden and I love gardens!
