Fall Thyme Stichery and Her Name is..........!

Hello sweet ladies,

Well, here is the 3rd quilt block for Winter All Year Long, Fall Thyme Stitchery! I am so excited that we are half way through our stitcheries. Only one more to go and that will come out the beginning of Oct. I will have the pattern for the wall hanging quilt pattern by the end of August. You can take and make the squares into pillows, if you would rather. I was thinking of having kits of fabric for the quilt for sale. Let me know what you think. I will keep the cost down. You would have to get the batting and backing for the quilt. I would also include hand cut bias tape to match the fabric in the kit. Just let me know what you think. I won't hold you to it, just seeing if there is any interest. I am getting excited. Haven't designed it yet, but it is in my head. Now I need to get it on paper and then to the sewing machine. That's the best part! Enter your name and email to download the pattern located on the side bar, if you like!

Well, look who is here, our little Miss Annabelle. Her name got 17% of the votes. Bella and Daisy Mae got 16%. We had 200 votes as of today. I know I let the vote go a little bit longer than I said, okay a "lotta" bit longer! But summer gets away with us on a farm! Smile. Thank you all so much for doing this with us! The Grandkids had fun checking in all the time at who was winning. It was Annabelle and Bella most of the time.

Now I have to tell you about our day. We set out this morning to go to Oklahoma to pick up the fencing materials. Before we leave our home Mr. Phil always asks the Lord for protection and also that we would be a blessing. We were having a lovely time and he thought the little old truck was doing really well. It was going to be 4-5 hours each way. We were half way there and the truck was kind of shaking in the front. Not good, I thought. Now you know ladies you have to be careful about what you say to your man. They don't always like lots of questions when things are not going as they planned. So I was just sitting there and then I couldn't stand it any longer and I asked if we were getting a flat tire. He said, "I don't know". I usually need more than that kind of answer, so I waited some more. Then it was really shaking and he was slowing down. He got out of the truck and sure enough it was the tire. You will not believe this, but up a little ways you could see this sign Good Year. That looked good to me. We went over and the guys that worked there, said that their tires were big tires. They worked on semis and such. Oh, man,............. it was so hot and I was sticky and felt not nice! We were going to be late to the place with the fencing, so that was out. Here we were half way there and had to turn back. They told us of a place down the road, so we had to drive very carefully and slow. God was so good to us. We were going to a place and the man told Mr. Phil on the phone were it was. They were not real good directions though. You guessed it, we passed it, didn't even seeeee it! Ended up finding another place in the next town and there was a McDonalds right next to the tire place. I hopped out of the truck and went in and washed my face. I was getting to sit in air conditioning and got to get on my laptop. It worked for me. Then Mr. Phil came and took me on a date, at Mc's and we had a nice dinner. I had been thinking earlier in the day, that maybe he could take me somewhere nice, but by this point I didn't care. We got the tires at a really good price and came home. I stitched the whole time. Well I did fall asleep once. I am not a sitter. I am up and going all the time, so if I sit I am out. When I got home I went straight to the shower.

This is what you call NUM!

My Tressy said she had a surprise for us. Cinnamon rolls with frosting with a little coffee in it. My grandma made it that way. Taylor had the kitchen and front room all picked up. Sweet girls they are!!!! Now for the bad news! We have to go all the way back again tomorrow (Sat). It is to be even hotter. James 1. "Count it all JOY!" We will do our best, with the Lords help. Smile!

Thank you for all who prayed and left me comments today. They were just what I needed! I soooo appreciate you. I wrote back on each comment and the internet went down again, for about an hour. We think it might be our router. I lost all my comments to you. I wanted to cry, but I didn't. I will answer tomorrow when I get home. To tired to think!!!! They were all nice little notes, to tell you about how I appreciate you all so much!

Welcome all you new followers. I have noticed you and am coming over to see you!!!!!!

Blessings and hugs from the farm.

Have A Nice Day, I Will Be Stitchin!

Good Morning,

Thank you for all the personal emails that you wrote yesterday. I was so thankful that the post and scripture spoke to your hearts. I am praying and trusting the Lord is going to touch marriages everywhere........ for His Glory.

Please keep praying ladies, everyday. It is so important that we fight for our marriages. It is a picture of Christ and His Church. Marriage is Precious to Him.

Today I am off with my honey for 10 hours of traveling. We are picking up the fencing material. It will be 97 today......... HOT! We will be in a truck without air conditioner. Hmmm think happy thoughts! Smile!

I am taking my little box full of stitcheries, that need to be worked on. One of my favorite past times, stitching by hand................. sitting next to my honey. Can life get better than that? I am sure it can, but I will enjoy my day! I can't wait to show you what I have been up to. Haven't forgotten that I am needing a party. Hope I can have one soon.

Have a wonderful weekend

sweet friends!

Know that I will be

What I Learned This Morning And My Little Kitchen

Poppa Phil whispering into the ear of his grand baby.
"The LORD is good Reid, He will never Fail you!"
You are welcome to use this photo on your blog if you like.

Hello sweet ladies,

We were without internet again for 24 hours. I wasn't able to write back on the comments from the other day. Thank you for all the sweetness!!!!! I wrote to you all late last night.

Since we got back from camp, LIFE has been so BUSY!

The tomatoes are ready! I am so thankful that my prayers have been answered. I ask the Lord who thought up gardening, to help my garden grow. I think it is special, when He answers. The tomatoes are doing very well this year. I am grateful. My cellar is needing replenished. I have canned for our older sons families over the years. The recipe for our Tomato Stew for our soups is wonderful! Yesterday afternoon I started canning. It excites me! I have been over at your blogs and I see that you have been doing the same.

We will have it for the fall and winter months. I posted a post last year for the Tomato Soup Base. It is the best recipe. You will love it! We make Veggie Beef Soup and Chili. Click here. It works better if you have a food processor. I couldn't get as much done if I didn't have mine.

Mr. Phil planted me a little fall garden. We hope it works. Praying it will! The little corn and green bean babies are coming up. It is a precious site. See in the top left pic, how the little plant is coming up out of the ground? It is amazing!
I wish you could come to my farm and see. Know that the door is open, at any time!

I have also made some Currant Jelly and Red Plum Jam. The red plum tastes so nummy.

When I lived in Alaska there was a wonderful berry called Nagoon Berry. You had to go out into the woods and crawl on your hands and knees to get these little gems. It was so worth it. We would make jelly every summer. Well, I was so excited when I made the Red Plum Jelly, because it had the same taste. It is a treat now that takes me back home.

We have been listening to a new Bible reading. It has been very good.
Shawn at Extreme Kansas Camp, told us about it.

Today I was personally encouraged. I need that..........everyday!

I was made to live in Christ. Christ has been pursuing me from my beginning. Thank you Jesus! That is a precious thought, for me. I was reminded of who I used to be. I didn't even care about living right. Rebellion was my life, but He came and picked me up. Cleaned me off, because that is why He came. He made me new, because of HIM and the price was paid at the cross! Jesus set me free. I am so thankful that I am free from my past life. I had to give up, my rights for His rights! It was a good thing. I am still being transformed by HIS word.

Read this scripture carefully.
It will penetrate your heart, if you ask. I was again convicted.

Romans 6

1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. 6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

19I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Heard this song for the first time today. The girls are a little strange at the end,

but I love the song at the beginning.

Please pray that God would protect every marriage. Marriages are being attacked!!!! If you read my blog today and your marriage is not what God wants it to be pray, and don't give up! I want you to know that you are being prayed for! Ladies lets all pray for marriages today. Thank you!

Today I will be driving to go pick up the parts to the new fence, we are going to build. It will be a long drive, but I will be with my honey. That is a gift from the Lord! We will talk............. about you and your families and ask God to meet all of your needs. We will ask Him that if you don't know HIM, that He will whisper in your ear, that you are so loved by Him. Can't wait to see in Heaven what He did this day, for the most precious women and families in the whole world.

Have a nice day!

A Special Weekend...........

You are welcome to use this photo on your blog if you like.

The Heavens declare the Glory of the God the skies proclaim the work of HIS HANDS. Day after day they pour forth speech (the works of His hands); night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:2-4.

If we break this scripture apart and look up all the words meanings in the dictionary.............

................we will realize there is no excuse to not believe in God.

Hello sweet friends,

As you know our family was blessed to be able to go to Extreme Kansas Camp this last weekend. It was just what our weary souls needed. The time we spent there was absoluetly a God time! God knew that He was going to use a family to get us to camp, so that we could be refreshed! God is so good to use His Children to accomplish what He wants done.

We went on a boat. Beings that I am from Alaska, I so miss the water. It was wonderful.
I was reminded:

And God said, Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, ground "land," and the gathered waters He called "seas."

And God said it was good. Genesis 1:9

The water was so beautiful. The sun was shining on the top of the water and it glistened like the stars at night. Filled me with lots of emotion of what a Great God I have that wants to have my attention, so I can enjoy what He has made. The Lord met us......... we saw His Glory and was reminded that He had everything in His control. I am so glad I belong to Him. He longs for a relationship with each one of us. We were being able to see what He was
wanting to show us personally this weekend. I loved it. So did my family.

One of the nights was a very special time for our family. The family that owns the camp has a daughter around 18. She had a burden on her heart to come up with a time for campers and families to go through what she called Prayer Stations. God gave her a beautiful way to get in touch with Himself. We were given instructions. We went to different prayer stations.

Our first station was at the cross at the top of the big hill. Music was being played quietly under the cross. It was so beautiful! We all sat and looked out over the land and water. The sun was going down at the time. It was so beautiful. We were to sit and be still. I looked all around me. There was a family of 8 that was sitting next to us. Six stair step children. To watch those little ones look out over the water and asking questions was a sweet time for me. There parents were ushering them into the presence of God. What a precious treasure their children received. Godlooked down and was pleased.

The next station we went to was a wooden cross that was set up against a tree. We were told to ask the Lord to help us think of a sin, that was in our life that we needed to confess. We had to write it down on a piece of paper and then nail it to the cross. I did mine and then I looked over at my youngest and she was hammering her paper with a nail to the cross. My heart started to tug at me real hard. I don't know why it hit me so hard, but watching her confess her sin before God and wanting freedom from it blessed me so. To see your child being broken before the Lord is a precious thing. As we would go to other stations you would hear in the background the hammer hitting someone else's nail representing a sin. It was very powerful!!!!!!!!!! When they nailed our Savior to the cross...... it was representing the sin of the world. That is an awesome thought.

The last station that we went to, was when we as a family took communion. The Fathers of each home were to take the bread, break it and give it to each on in his family. Then he took the cup and passed it. It was a very meaningful time. The sun had gone down, so it was very dark outside. The only light we had at our table was a flashlight. I will never forget this time with my family. I am sure that the Lord was pleased. We remembered Him!

I wish I would have taken more pictures, but it seemed like such a solitude time.

The last day we were there was Sunday morning, we sang.............

and we read His word. ................ together,...................

with the body of Christ, not in a church building,

but with His Church, who are HIS people.

A place that HE created at the beginning of time. Thank you Father, you are so good to Your

children and so many times this child forgets, to say Thank You.

I want to do better. I need your help.

We hated to leave. It was like we were away from the world.

Until another time.......... we will have the memories...........

of a very special love gift......... given, so that we might find rest in

Him again!

We had such a fun time! We slept in a tent and ate our meals in a pole shed. It was open on all sides, with mesh on some of the areas. The food tasted so good, because we were eating outdoors I think. Wish you could have been there! There are so many things that

are in my life, that I would like to share with you! One is Heaven!

P.S. One more thing I want to put in this post. When the camp begins staff goes to the 4 corners of the property and dedicates the North, the South, the West and the East to the Lord. It is an amazing time. They read scripture and ask the Lord to protect and use the land for His Glory. It happens! God comes by His Holy Spirit and visits! Just like He did on our time there. Just wanted you to know this.

Blessings and hugs from the farm,

Momma's Fine and Thank You So Much

Thank you sweet ladies that follow my blog, thank you so much for praying. What a whirl wind life we had this last few days. On Wednesday after working in the hot sun, (still have a funny to tell you....... another day) we were about to drive up our long drive way, when out of no where grand children started running up along the side of the driveway. They had baby kittens in buckets and baskets wrapped in baby blankets. They had been waiting at the end of the lane for us to come home. There was 7 of them. It was so sweet to be greeted my our loves of our lives. They hopped in the truck and up the lane we went. We were ready for Grammie and Poppa Camp or so we thought. We have had Camp so that Poppa and I can invest into their little lives. I want to continue to have them even with they are older and when they are married and when they have kids....... I don't want it to ever end! Anyway I got into the house and everyone was talking a mile a minute. All their plans for the fort where in order. Then the phone rang. It was the nursing home saying that my 78 year old momma had just aspirated and was being taken to the hospital by ambulance. This was the same thing that happened to my Dad some months back. He never came back home. He died. My heart was racing at this point and after the hot day in the sun, I wasn't doing so well. We hopped in the car and off we went, praying all the way, that she would be safe and get the best care. I am always wanting the doctor caring for my older parent, to have a belief that even though my Momma is 78 can't walk or move, has Alzheimer's, that she is a valuable person! That she has "quality of life", because God gave it to her. I am so thankful that we have a Christian Doctor that believes that God has charge over life. That doesn't mean we want her hooked up to a lot of tubes and such, we just want her to have the care she needs. We got there and bless her heart I could tell by her eyes, (that is how we talk and we really do, it is a God thing) she was not sure what was going on. She looked right at me and wouldn't leave my eyes. They got her situated and in her hospital nightie. I love those things. They are 100 percent cotton and have been washed a thousand times and are soooooo soft. They may look ugly, but they sure feel good. They were going to do some tests and take X-rays of her chest. We stayed awhile and then went home. We had all the kids waiting for us on the farm. We had a sweet evening,Had to get up early in the morning to go back over to see Momma. She was doing better and they would be releasing her to go back to the nursing home. She did look better and that is where all of you who left comments and prayed come in. Thank you so much, God heard and I have my momma safe back at the home! I know that there will be a day that the Lord will call her home. It will be one of the saddest days of my life. Even though she can't talk to me, she is the most precious lady in my life. We didn't always have that relationship. I was a rebellious daughter and I know I hurt her deeply. When I came to Christ I told her I was so sorry. She accepted. She also was not the easiest Momma to live with, she had a drinking problem...... from a broken heart. Two full term babies that died in her arms alone, because my Daddy was in a bar and wasn't with her. Lots of other things also happened and then a broken marriage later, (when my siblings and I were older) when I was 17. I am not telling you this to disrespect my parents. They lived what they knew and they didn't have Jesus. It's just now we have been given a second chance, I can love her even though she can't respond to me other than with eyes. It is amazing the love that my Momma gives even to the girls that work at the home with her eyes. They love and respect her life. The only words I have is.................PRECIOUS.

The whole weekend kind of changed for Grammie and Poppa camp. It wasn't that we didn't have fun, but I was just exhausted! I don't do well on roller coaster rides ever. Smile. We had sweet times of reading God's Word. We read the whole story of Jonah. They interacted with us and it was so fun to get to know our grand babies a little bit better. Studying the word of God does that, another God thing! Unless you open HIS Word and read it with your children, you won't know what God does at that moment. The Bible says that it is powerful. The children talked and asked question....... and I drank it in. Hungry little souls wanting to know about our God.

For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

I didn't always love the Word. One day I asked the Lord to give me a hunger. He did just that, He met me..... He is talking to me......... intimately. He has told me to ask anything in His name. He loves to teach me and loves to watch over us as we drink in His Word. We want to be a generation that serves Him. If I can give my children the tools and usher them into the presence of the Lord,...... His Holy Spirit will do what He does so well........... speaks to our soul....... the thing that matters.

I heart you ladies! Have a good weekend!!!!!

P.S. We were given a sacrificial gift from one of our followers. She said that she and her husband wanted to bless us. They did. Little did they know that we had an opportunity to go to Extreme Kansas Camp for Family Camp (if you look at the website, the little boy on the right is our grandson) this weekend. It was over the amount we needed. Isn't that just like the Lord to bless His children using one of His faithful servants? We are packing up and hitting the road for the weekend. Leaving our cares behind and getting blessed with others that love the Lord so. I can't wait to drink in the beauty of the gorgeous lake the camp is on........... I will canoe with my sweetie on the lake.......we will talk sweetness to each other......... as the sun goes down....... cook a little in the kitchen that is outdoors.......... hmmmmm, I think we will like! Praying my little family will meet our God in a fresh new way and that we would be a blessing to the staff. We worked at this camp a couple years ago. We love it there! Wish we could make a living doing it. Nice thought! We will be back on Sunday, that will be toooo soon, I will choose to be thankful!

Blessings and hugs from the farm,

Only have a minute. My little momma is in the hospital. Aspirated last night. She is stable. On my way over to see her. Life............! Was suppose to be having Grammie and Poppa Camp last night and today........ changes.......... God just give the strength to get through this day, please. Drama! At it's worst! Smile! My momma is 78... Alzheimer's. She is so precious.... she can't talk......... just with her eyes. That is good enough for me! Wish it was different.

Lift us up in prayer please. I had so planned to have a fun post today of the funnies that went on yesterday with Mr. Phil and I at the fence. That will have to wait.

Thankful we are in the Lord's care. Couldn't do this without Him.

I thought it was suppose to be easier when we got older........ not!!!!!!!

Leaving to go see her.

Have a Nice Day, I will!

I just love these little guys! What they have to go through from this Farm Wife!

Good Morning Ladies,

This story I am going to tell you probably won't sound as funny as it was when I write about it, but I laughed so hard I could hardly talk. Last night our oldest grandson and the middle grandson (our oldest sons children) and I were in the kitchen. The boys were ready to brush their teeth and the last time they were with, they had left their little black bag that had their tooth brush and tooth paste in it at our farm. The oldest did not get to stay the last time, because he was on a missions trip with his church. He is 12, so he didn't have a toothbrush in the bag. Not even thinking I said, "Not a problem, you can use one of Grandpa Leo's tooth brushes". Now I had been in my little studio barn earlier in the day and had seen a tooth brush that Grandpa had received when he was in the hospital before he died and I thought that it will be nice to have it if one of the grand kids forgets their toothbrush. Well, I am still working away on the counter. I notice grandson isn't talking. I looked over and his mouth and face were priceless. It was obvious he didn't think my idea was a good one. I put two and two together (Grammies can do that fast) and realized he thought I meant Grandpa's used one. OH MY! I had to laugh so hard, then he and his brother were laughing so hard. Poor thing, thought Grammie was going to make him used a soiled old toothbrush. He did have a look of panic. I eased his mind and said it was a prepackaged one. It really was a fun memory for us all to tucked in our hearts!!!!! I am sure you have one, please share it with, we all would love to hear it.

Today will be filled with fun. Grammie and Poppa Camp on the farm! Most of the grandkids will be here and they will be working on their fort. They love the mailbox idea that Ian came up with. They are writing notes back to him this morning. This could be a good thing!

Mr. Phil and I are going to measure out the new fence that we have been hired to work on. The family that we worked for before, the one we built a few weeks back? We got another job. Mr. Phil needs my help! So glad............we have alot of talking time. I listen to him, because he is a wise man. We will do that early this morning, than I will be back to help the kids build on their fort. I want to put a floor above their fort and start building up! I have never done anything and I may have to interrupt Poppa a few time, but it will be fun! "Swiss Farmily Stubbs" we will be! Get it, Farm.....ily? Sound stupid? smile! The kids have watched Swiss Family Robinson's with me many times, over the years. It is one of our favorites. You haven't watched it? Get it, it is adorable.

A capable, intelligent and virtuous woman, who is he co can find her? She is farm more precious than jewels and her value is farm ABOVE RUBIES or pearls. Proverbs 31:10

A few things I want to leave you with. I am not sure if you get this magazine, but it is a favorite of mine. It is called Above Rubies. It is wonderful, there are articles for all age women. They cover everything from Adoption, Family Life, Recipes and much more. It will be a major source of encouragement to you! They also have women Retreats and Seminars in the United States and abroad.

Revive Our Hearts with Nancy Leigh DeMoss is another favorite of mine. You can listen to her radio program right on her website. It is worth going to and gleaning from a wise woman. Nancy has a speaking Schedule that you can look up on the site and Pure In Heart Conferences.
This is the best book! Helped me a lot to think biblically and in truth.

Some years back our family was out at Family Life Today in Arkansas. We had a friend that worked there and we were able to have a wonderful tour of the place. We went to the recording part of the studio and there was Nancy sitting doing a program. She was not busy later in the day, so he asked if we would like to meet her. How fun would that be? Before we left we all held hands in a circle and prayed. She prayed blessings over our two daughters. Course I wept as I heard someone asking God to be over our daughters purity and life. It was a memory I will never forget. Hope you find enjoyment on the websites.

Off to measure out the land for the new fence. My honey needs me! That is a good feeling! Thank you for all of you who prayed for a job. God heard you. We thank you!!!!!! I am praying for you all. You are such precious gifts to our family, from the Lord!

Blessings and hugs from the farm,
