A Wonderful Chocolate Cake!!!!!

Hello Sweet Friends,
When we were up in the mountains, we wanted to make this wonderful cake from one of our favorite blogs!!!!!! Amanda has the most wonderful recipes. Go to her website!! Now mind you we are at an altitude of 85 hundred feet. We now think that we needed to have less batter in our pans. I think that you will get a kick out of our video. Tressa has no idea what she is going to find when she opens up the oven. We had a really good laugh. Hope you enjoy.

Tell us what you think! (smile) We would love to hear from you.

This is our wilderness cake. Here is our cake when we got done. Amanda's looks a lot better then ours, but I will tell you this cake is to liveeeeeeee for!!!!!!! It is so nummy and the frosting tastes wonderful.
I could only eat one piece. We shared it all over the canyon. You have to try it.

  1. Okay our friend Alicia who we had told, about the cake, said that we needed to use 3 pans not 2. So use 3 it will not overflow like ours. It still tasted wonderfulllllllllll! Oh and be sure to take the calories out before you eat you cake. Love you all.

  2. Looks great. I want a piece. It looks so rich and the frosting with nuts yum. Tressa do you alwalys burn your cakes? May be watching to much ball. Do you need a cooking class? lol Practice. Practice. Practice. Funny.

  3. It looks delicious! Except for the burning part, lol! I love reeses cups!

  4. Welcome home Miss Linda :) I am so glad to see you back. I love the photo of you and your family, beautiful! The altitude in Colorado does take a little bit of adjusting :) Lots of water!

Thank you for sharing Amanda's blog. I look forward to checking it out. The cake looks yummy!

Poor Tressa! I remember my first cake in Colorado. Overflowing for sure! That is why I mostly make pies :)
