Video Tutorial To Change Your Font On Blogger

Love these little field sparrows. Sweet birdies!

Should say that if you are family of Gail's......please scroll down to Tues. post. Thank you and welcome to Prairie Flower Farm.........love having you!

Hello sweet ladies,

So sad today...........didn't get a snow day....and stay HOME...........my honey knows how to drive in snow! Smile. It was okay though. There was quite a bit of snow out there and one time he scared Tress and I..............a lot! We got between 10 - 12 inches of fluffy snow. Just beautiful!!!!!!! Love it. Did a lot of baking today in the college kitchen. School was out for the kids so they all slept in........but came out full force for lunch.

Remember the book review I did for Gooseberry Patch last month on the 101 Cupcake, Cookie & Brownie Recipes Cookbook? Yesterday they put up a recipe from the cookbook on their blog. We made it at work for the kids...........gone in no time! They were called  Peanut Butter Cupcakes. Today they put up some Sweet Shoppe Gift Tags for Valentines. You can print them off if you like. Please tell them I sent you!

My Tressy was so sweet....... she helped me put up a tutorial video on how to put up different fonts.  Love hearing her voice! So...... if you would like to change your font on your blog now you can! I received quite a few inquiries on how to do it and so here it is. Hope it is easy to follow!

Just have to tell you so far we have received $495.00 to go towards the amount to bring Vitaliy HOME! Thank you to all who have blessed our family. Our son was all teary eyed when I showed him. He said he was so humbled by the kindness. It is a blessing to see your kids loved on........it does a Momma's heart good! Thank you thank you....... so much. I am so blessed to have you all praying for our family! Your comments of encouragement are a blessings also. We have a long way to go......but the road will be so worth it. God is leading and we don't have to worry about it!

Hugs sweeties...........you bless my life so much! May the Lord bless you all for all your kindness!

Snow today...........lots of it! Beautiful!

Hello sweet ladies and "Gail's Family",

Now I bet you are wondering why I put "Gail's Family". A dear friend of mine who's name is Gail, left me a comment on my blog almost a year ago. The day she wrote me she buried her precious husband........my heart ached for her and so I wrote back. We have been friends ever since!  Well the other day she had a fun idea...........and special request. Gail is doing a scavenger hunt with her family and the third clue is to be on my blog.  Now is that the most clever idea? I love it so..........

Welcome to all of Gail's Family and

here is your 3rd clue!

Did you find the brother from clue #2? The date of birth and date of death are very important to discovering the person(s) we are looking for.

I hope that you all have fun as you continue to discover all the clues. So nice to meet you all! Linda

Today Tonya sent a picture of Vitaliy holding the package we sent him. It kind of makes me a little sad, because he isn't smiling like he always did while he was here. It might have been before he found out we wanted to adopt him. Not sure. Thank you so for praying for him.........one day he will be here and he will be all ours! Can't wait until that day! It is hard for me to see him in pictures..........just miss him terribly.

Today after work I went picture taking around the farm. I went to the potters shed. Beauty all around and lots of snow all around. The trees were loaded with snow and the little birds were all inside eating the juniper berries.  Loved watching them. Lots of berries dropped on the top of the snow. I bet they fell out of their little beaks.

Look at the snow on the latch............love it! God detail!

Flowers anyone?

This is one of my favorite bird houses. My grandson Ian and his Poppa made it for me!
Love the snow on the perch! Every year
my chair looks a little more aged.

The snow was so fluffy.........couldn't make snow angels to well.......maybe tomorrow? The snow came down in huge flakes! I  mean really huge! I so missed being outside this morning, but I was able to look through the kitchen doors and out the window in the dining area. God was good to me to let me enjoy......I was  very thankful!

Another green birdhouse caught some snow! If I was a bird I would go inside and stay warm.

Some woven fencing in my garden.....loved how this pic looked!

See my flag? The brown weeds and snow make it look so beautiful!

My scarecrow is tired! Love Grandpa Jacks old overalls!
He loved his overalls. He had work ones and good ones.

It is still snowing outside and it is suppose to snow all night long. I will like.........if I can have a SNOW DAY! Is that naughty? I would just love to be able to go out in the morning. It used to be my favorite time when I was at HOME.

Thank you sweet ladies for leaving me comments today! Heather is going to look and find some info on how to do slip covers. Can't wait and a few other ladies are wanting info also. Thank you sweet Heather!

Also my sweetie daughter Tressa helped do a step by step video tutorial to show you how to get the fonts that I use on my blog. That will be going up tomorrow night. We thought we had it and it needs a little bit more work on it. Ladies have wanted to know and we thought this would be the easiest way to do it. We giggled so much this afternoon trying to get it done. Smile! So thankful for my girls......they are truly the sunshine in my day!

Also welcome to all the new followers......you have been noticed.......by me!

Love you bunches and may God bless your day!

Hug from my farm to your HOME,

 Linda

Snow........5-6inches they say!

Hello sweet ladies,

Isn't this the sweetest room? I wanted to put this picture up during CHRISTmas time, but just didn't get it done. I would like to cover my furniture to look like this. I have only covered a couch once before.......quite sometime ago, but I would rather just make a slip cover for my couch and love seat this time. Has anyone ever made slip covers before? If so and you have any info on your blog, please let me know! Just trying to make some plans now.

Hope you are all doing well. This last weekend I worked on an order for a Coupon Book, like the one I made for my daughter in loves for CHRISTmas. I really enjoyed all the handwork that went with it. It made my weekend a quiet one. Did you do anything special? Would love to see, if you have something on your blog.

I am still receiving answers to the 5 questions......Getting to know each other.........I have so enjoyed reading them. Thank you so much for commenting.   If you haven't answered the questions yet...please do so we can get to know you!

We are getting more snow tonight........up to 5-6 inches.....I know so many of you have already had snow and now you are getting more.  Please know that we are praying for you all! After work today I went and worked on the coop to get the chickens all ready for the snow. The little girls in the milk barn are starting to lay, so I made up a apple basket with straw and put the eggs they laid today in the apple basket. I hope they will start laying there from now on. My little white cochin is doing so well. So sad that her honey was killed by the bobcat, but I will be getting a new male in the spring. I am so itchin' for spring and incubating baby chicks! Over the years I have incubated about 300. Can't wait to start again. There is something that gets my heart......... watching the little chicks hatch. It is truly amazing! LIFE in big letters! God is so precious to us!

I am getting enough eggs now to sell and have been to ladies at the college. Here is my new business card. I didn't show my address and phone number here, but I really like how it turned out. I have had this idea for the picture for some time and finally took it tonight. Love those gallon jars I get from work! I use them for everything!!!!!!

You will notice along the side we have decided to put a Amazon  widget up with three cookbooks so far. The fact that I am an Early Bird Reviewer for Gooseberry Patch. Doing this will help us make a little money from each book sold to help get Vitaliy Home. If you are already planning on ordering any of the cookbooks along my side bar I hope that you will order from here.

I will be having another review party real soon for the Mom's Very Best Recipes Cookbook!!!!!! Want to make a little surprise to go with first. I am hoping by the end of the week.

Hugs from my farm to your HOME!

Linda

V said YES!!!! Praising the Lord!!!!!!

Today we are to get snow.........again.........so many of you have really received a lot already. Know that we will be praying for you! Lots of birds are needing some extra seed in the bird feeders. This is our cardinal that comes and eats with the female during snowy times. You are welcome to use this photo, if you would like.

Hello sweet ladies,

I received the precious box from my friend (soon I will be telling you who she is) in the mail. She made these adorable rings that will go as part of the fundraising idea for Vitaliy to come Home. They are so very sweet.......... as she perfects them we will have them available. It is getting real exciting around the Stubbies "HOMES". All of our family is helping get V. Home. I also made something that I am getting ready to use as a fundraiser. Until then I have put up a donation button, if you are interested in donating to his Home coming. So many have left me emails and comments that you want to help. Here is a way. Please, please feel absolutely NOOO pressure, if you can't that is fine, honest.........these are hard times for all of us and I understand it all so well! I love you all very much and I don't want any kind of hardship on your families. We covet your prayers mostly.....that is the best gift you can give our family, the orphans in the world and V. I will continue to keep you up on the ways you can pray. I am also working on the story of V.......he is such a sweet smiling little boy! I will have it in PDF form.

I listened to two Bible Studies yesterday. I have been going through a Beth Moore Bible Study at Oneplace.com on John The Baptist "Prepare the Way". It is free to listen to it and it's been wonderful. Be sure to have your Bible in front of you and follow along. I also have a little notebook to jot down notes. You will be blessed. If you want to start in the beginning of the series Start here. The date that she started the series was on December 13, 2010. If you can listen while you are doing housework, that is good also. I love having the Word surround me by listening to it. It makes a person strong for the battles of Life! As many of you know, Life is hard.......sometimes real hard. Yesterday as I was listening to the Bible Studies one verse stood out to me! The verse was in Zephaniah 3:17

The Lord your God is with you,
He is mighty to save
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

This will be V's cousin........love this pic. Our youngest grandchild and V.

I don't know about you ladies but this verse blesses my heart.........big time. I have read this verse before, but yesterday it seemed to sink in to the depths of my soul. To think of my Father in heaven finding me delightful? I don't use the word awesome very much........I save it for God.......it was one of those AWESOME MOMENTS! Some of us didn't have a Daddy that was good to us.......I was one of those.......but he was my Dad.......God saw at the beginning of time that he was to be my Father. As I look back I am so thankful that he did. I accepted Christ when I was 15 years old. I lived in a home with much strife and anger, but life was not like that for my honey Phil.......nor our children. They did not live with pain.....but God did use my upbringing in my life ...that I would learn to trust and love HIM more. God was never meant to be compared to our earthly fathers. So when I was going through the study yesterday..........I was thinking of our V.......who is parentless. I thought of our God........singing over every orphan child in this world! What a precious picture. In the study she talked about when both of your parents die and you have no one to tell you they love you like a parents does. That sometimes this will make you feel like you are an orphan. My honey experienced that. You see he worked side by side with his Momma (she died of cancer 1991) and his Daddy (2005) for many years farming. A gift to our children and ourselves!!!!! We have the memories of all the kindness they showed us by their actions. When they die that stopped, but it never stops with the Lord! He tells us in his Word...........a Wonderful thing!

I thought a lot about V yesterday. Then I received a call from T. J and T had just received a call from the adoption worker, and she said that Vitaliy said YES! In fact he said "strongly yes"!!!!!!! We had been waiting and now we can really move forward! So now V knows that they want to adopt him. I am so thankful that now he knows. He has been waiting for the last few weeks, because we could not say anything while he was here with. We also found out some disturbing news. I don't want to say what it is..........but the orphanage workers are telling lies to the children. Please please cover the children with prayers of protection and that they won't believe the lies but will believe truth and remember the love that the families gave them during the time in America!!!!! So at least he would be able to hear us say that we love him. It is all so sad....... the evil that is in this world. At Christmas time we received $150 from one of my "blogger families" who reads my blog. Some of that money will be used to buy a phone. Thank you sweet friend~ God does provide! We were so excited about the news and we will put our total trust in the Lord now. That He will complete the good work that He has begun and will bring V HOME! GOD IS CONTROL and we have to believe that. Now the work begins for J and T...... signing lots and lots of papers. We have heard of some real horror stories and so we are asking that there are no mistakes....that will happen on the papers. They say it can cost more, if the papers get delayed. We realize that satan hates adoption.........because it is a picture of what Christ wants to do for each one of us. He wants to adopt us through salvation.

Please pray that the Lord will give our family a straight path. Our goal is to give Vitaliy a Home that loves Jesus. Our prayer is that one day Vitaliy will accept JESUS, because V was bought with a price............JESUS CHRIST!

Praise the ONE!

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me." Isaiah, 49:16

Our God will not forget the orphan...........what a wonderful promise!
I love this song. I know that as we walk this out... fear may hit us. We do not want to give way to fear. It is not from God! We want to stay steadfast at this time.

"But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."
Galations 4:4-6

Praying your day will be blessed by the Lord........... know that I am so grateful for you!
Yesterday was such a busy day and I didn't get to come and visit many blogs. I had hoped to......but you know life. Another storm is coming through they say. I want to be ready with all my girly chickens so they are all safe. I will be coming later today to visit all who answered the 5 questions. Thank you so much for all the comments on "Getting to know you a little better". I loved it. I felt like each person that left a comment and each email...... let me into who you are..... a little bit. I so wish I could meet each and everyone of you in person.

Welcome to all the new followers......you have been noticed.......by me!

Hugs from our farm to your Home!

Thank You Sweet Ladies for FRIENDSHIP!

Love it when my girls lay their first egg. Isn't the one on the left the sweetest?

Hello sweet ladies..........

Thank you sooooooo much! Last night and today was a real special time for me, I thought it would be fun to just ask the 5 questions........not even sure if anyone would write back or comment. I know what it is like to be so busy...........but I have to say you blessed my heart! I loved reading EVERY comment. It was like sitting and drinking a cup of tea with you and listening to what you like to do....how you liked to cook..........what you wanted to plant........ where you lived and it was just the neatest! After I read each comment and email........ it was like I knew you even better! I received a lot of emails from ladies that don't have a blog. Thank you also! Let's Get To Know Each Other!

Just picked up my Hobby Farm HOME...........the other day at the Tractor Supply Store! Sure gets me "itchin" to have spring ...............now! Smile. I will wait and be patient.........it just will be so nice to get outside again and dig in the dirt.

Hello sweet ladies,

Today we didn't have any problems getting to work this morning.......so I didn't have a SNOW Day. Sad! It is so cold here though. Having a hard time keeping the shower thawed. UGH for my honey!

I am getting a little sewing in today........very relaxing......... finishing up on an order.

I can't believe how many new ladies are downloading the tea cozy. I love it! I hope a lot are being made for gifts. If you are doing so........ I would love to hear.

I thought I would do a little something different with this post. I would love to get to know you just a little bit better. So here goes. I have 5 simple questions for you to answer. If you don't want to...... that is just fine. I want you to be comfortable when you come to my blog. The questions will be simple. I was just thinking that if you came to my HOME to visit I would want to get to know YOU! So here goes.........

1. Would you rather be knitting, crocheting, hand stitching doing embroidery, sewing using your sewing machine or all of the above?

2. Do you have any kind of crafty or sewing thing that you are working on now?

3. Do you like to cook from scratch or do you use prepared food?

4. Will you have a garden this next summer......what will you grow and will you start your own seeds?

5. Do you live in the city or on a farm which would you rather if you could?

Okay.........here goes! I will answer the questions for you.

1. I love anything that has to do with sewing. EVERYTHING!

2. I am working on a new pattern right now. It will be a new organizer of sorts. Can't wait to finish it!

3. I really enjoy cooking from scratch.

4. Yes, I will have a garden......tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, every color and kind of peppers, onions, garlic, chard, carrots, radishes, green beans, rhubarb broccoli and sweet potatoes. We will freeze or can the produce.

5. As you know my family lives on a farm. I am so grateful to the Lord that He has allowed it.

If you want to number from 1-5 on the comment and answer....... that is fine or you can copy and paste the questions. If you have any other information that you would like to share about yourself.......that would be wonderful! All we need is a cup of tea and meet in real life! What a precious thought!

Hugs from my farm to your HOME and may the Lord bless your day!

Linda

P.S. It might be fun for those who comment to go over to the other ladies blogs who have also commented. Then we would be a bigger blogger family!

Baby It's Cold Outside!!!

My cone flowers look even pretty!
Hello Sweet ladies,
Brrrrrrrrrr, oh my it is so cold outside. It hurts your face, if you have to be in it. I was so hoping that I would not have to go to work this morning. Smile! The day before we cooked plenty of desserts.......but it didn't snow enough to keep us HOME! Sigh! We did wake up to frozen pipes in the bathroom though. Not cool! Sponge bath? When you live in an old farm house, it happens in the winter. We have been so blessed thus far.......so I can't complain!

We left for work this morning and the wind was blowing really hard. When you drive from our place to town there are open fields.......that means white out and lots of blowing snow.......... which makes visibility almost impossible. We did get to work........but had to drive slow. The kids at school were off and only about half of them weathered the storm and came for lunch. It really was very miserable! We just baked away and will be better prepared for tomorrow.

We have been watching the weather and so many people are being affected by the storm. We were on the edge of it so we didn't get the snow. If you are getting nailed........ know that people are asking the Lord for protection for you. We are for sure! If you are in the storm tell us how we can be praying.

When we got HOME I asked if Taylor would mind going out and taking some picture. I thought she did a super job.

This design turned out so pretty. You can see lots of little snowflakes on the window.

Love this pic of the little milk barn. The chickens are all tucked inside!

Won't be hanging any clothes these days.

Tay won't be barrel racing either.

Thank you for coming by. Is anyone having problems reading the posts with the new font?
Let me know please.

Hugs and may the Lord bless you!
Linda
