Snowman Ornament for sale!

Hello to the sweetest ladies in the world!

This is my Momma when she first came to Kansas. She was so funny this day. She had everyone in stitches, including Tressa and Taylor. She could talk then. We took this pic and it was on the shelf in her bedroom. The night she died we brought it home, it will go in a special place as a reminder of a very precious memory.

On Tuesday morning I started to journal a post.....then I got the call about Momma.

If anyone would like one of these Little Snowmen they are available by order. "Little Snowman" is 5.00 each......with $1.75 for shipping. Now if you would like one sent to someone in particular, I would put a little card on the inside that it is from you. Email me (prairie flower farm at g mail dot com and put in "Little Snowman in the subject line.....please) if you are interested. I will get them out soon. You would still have time to get one or more before CHRISTmas. If you have more then one place to send one to, I can do that also. You would have to send me an email of each address though. I will not be able to get it out in time after Thursday December 20th and still have it there in time for CHRISTmas. If that doesn't matter I can still get it there.

Each will be snuggled in a cellophane bag with a ribbon tied and tag. He is 5" tall......if you wanted to know.

This will be first come first served!

We take paypal (we will send out an invoice when we receive your  order), check or
money order.

We are meeting with the Pastor from my Dad's and Momma's church today. Getting things done one by one.

Hugs to you all and thank you so for all the prayers and kindness. Your comments have been a real healing balm to my soul. God knew we all needed each other.......I have loved reading each of your stories about your own losses and what the Lord did in each as you have shared on my facebook. Thank you for taking the time.

My Momma

Hello sweet ladies,

I thought I had better put up a little post. Yesterday morning I got a call from the nursing home that I needed to get in there fast. They thought my Momma was soon to be entering the gates of Heaven. Long story short it did not happen until 7:14 last night. Almost all of her family was by her side. I was very very thankful for the Lord detail in that. I kept ladies posted on my fb, but those of you who follow I wanted to let you know. This morning I have a meeting to get her burial in place. Please pray for me, if you wouldn't mind. It will be probably my hardest time in my life walking this out. Momma's are pretty special! The fact that she is not there physically now will be something I will have to get used to. Even though she couldn't talk with me.......her eyes always let me know I was hers. Even yesterday morning when I got there and we saw each other. She let me know. Wonderful memory! Can't imagine my life without her, but I will learn like so many of you have had to learn. Thankful she knew Jesus as her personal SAVIOR! Makes life tolerable!
Heart you ladies, very much!

Hugs to your day!

Linda

Friendship, so needed!!!!!! Have a Blessed SONday

Hello sweet ladies.........

the farm has been a buzzing! Cleaning, decorating, making sure the horses, cats and "Girlies" are all watered and fed. (Willow and the other three girls are over at my friends farm......they will be coming home soon). When the weather gets cold we have to make sure everyone is dry and warm for the weather. It makes for a little more work, but I always know they will be able to weather what ever comes. Tonight it is to get down to 10 degrees........cold! I have one more day at work and then we will be home for almost a month. They gave us Tuesday off.......hard to take, but someone had to do it......I am smiling!

I told my friend we needed to take a pic. I would share with my sweet ladies! Wish we could have shared a bowl with you all!!!!!!

Yesterday was a treasure day! We were invited to some old friends home. We had seen them when we were on our date night at Wal-Mart (anyone have those kind of dates)? The men talked and so did my friend and I. 20 years ago she started teaching and our paths separated due to time. She has always handed down old antiques and such to me when she would get tired of them. I loved it! She had a couch. It is sweet......put it out in the refuge cabin and will be making a slip cover for it! If anyone one of you have old 100% cotton sheets that you are not interested in and would like to sell them......I would be soooooo interested. Let me know. Anyway we were to be at their home at 9. We picked up talking like we had never had "time" in between! Do you relate? Most of us have stories! She served me yogurt with a huge helping of blueberries and raspberries. A simple act of kindness I know, but for me sitting with another lady one on one across the table was just what my women heart needed. It was so wonderful to just sit at her oak table.....and share what the Lord had been doing in each of our lives and spending some time in prayer. I don't get to visit much... so my cup was filled to the brim! We walked through their forest.....and they shared their plans and dreams......they also want a place of refuge for people. That blessed my heart! They need the wooded area picked up........I know just the boys from the college who would LOvveeeeeeee to help! They were encouraged to know someone would help. Isn't that what we are to do for one another? True friendship!

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope  we profess,  for he who promised is faithful.  24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
 Hebrews 10:19-25

I love this verse! Hope it encourages you and you will ask the Lord who you need to encourage this CHRISTmas season! I am sure He has someone for you! I know I have some more I want to encourage!

Hugs to all you precious ladies and have a restful SONday!!!!!!!!

Three and a half days left of Work!!!!!

Good evening sweet ladies.........

what a day.......first I started out using shampoo for body soap.....that was the beginning......then when we got home we saw a dog......up by our house.......ugh!!!!!! He was running after a girlie that was flying into the trees. Not happy! Kind of set the mood for the evening. As I have said before it is hard to live in the country.....but I wouldn't trade if for anything. Found some of my girlies feathers......lots of them, couldn't find her anywhere. Learning how to give grace.....not always easy......but right. Farm life......isn't always pretty, especially if you want your chickens free range. They will have to be kept in fenced area for awhile. I would rather have them safe.

The other night I was gathering eggs......walked by the entrance to our farm house and thought the pic would be neat to nestle them into the evergreens.......liked how the pic turned out.

The sun was going down later in the evening...my sweet man came in and said the sunset was beautiful! Thought you would like to see.

Today was a tough day......so thankful I can go to bed and see that His mercies are new in the morning!!!!!

Hugs and God bless you,

Linda

It is Tuesday......getting closer to our CHRISTmas vacation!

Hello sweet ladies,

When I got home last night it was kind of breezy out. I hurriedly got all my chores done and then came back into the house.....

curled up and stitched all evening long.

Family showed up later.......best part of the evening. I love it when son's, their sweet wives and grandkids come. Lots of chatter and laughter......makes an ending to the day sweet.

Then read scripture with the girls.......Philippians 3.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:12-14 stood out. Precious thought and Truth!

Hope you all had a nice evening, sometimes I imagine what your home is like, if you are married, have children, grands, what you do, if your a Momma that home schools, if you are retired.....if you are alone.......just thinking......what your family is like, if you know Jesus personally.... as your Savior.....I am always thinking.....a lot!

Hugs to your day.....and know you are loved by Jesus.....and me,

Linda

Welcome to all the new followers.....you have been noticed.....by me!

Hello this SONday.......also fixed up the Girlies Coop

Good morning sweet ladies.......it is SONday, candle lit and enjoying my morning!

This is a day the Lord has MADE;
let us rejoice and be glad in it!

I know some of you are burdened....with real reasons for the burdens. I have been there also...many times. I want you to know you are not alone......there are many out in this world that are suffering much. I had a Pastor one time tell me......"take your hands in front of you.... so your palms are lifted upwards, before the Lord. Tell the Lord you want all He has for you.......ladies it might be scary.......and hard.....but He will be with you and the Word says He will not leave us......ever!!!! I know this to be true.....but He has shown Himself so so so faithful after each trial and has perfected us into what He wanted us to be each time. If that is your situation today....know that God Himself is there battling on your behalf. THAT is a precious thing! If you are one of those that is having a tough time.....email me and I can at least pray with you!

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8

Yesterday enjoyed working on the "Girlies Coop". I used old garland that I have had forever.......juniper greens and berries and two bows.

I used one of our son's hunting geese, they are such sweet men to let their Momma find it in the barn......and use it.....without asking! Wink!

Twisted some Juniper greens and a simple bow.......liked it!!!!

Miss Millie needed a little sprucing up......new bow........Juniper berries and a little bit of greens inside. This was really my favorite thing to do.......she has been hanging here ever since I used the old wash house for the coop!

I put this old drawer in a few weeks back to see if the girls would like........they do! Added some new straw in all the nesters.
I really like bales of straw......use them all the time on the farm! Plus it helps another farmer make a little money! Every farmer can use that.......hard times for sure!

I add Apple cider vinegar to their water, go here for more information......it is great for their immune system and for other reasons.......check out the web site. Very good!

Well that was my day........sprinkled with lots of grandkids and our children throughout the day.......makes this Momma and Grammie pretty happy.

Today we have the young men coming to church with us and then later for lunch at the Refuge Cabin......chili, hotdogs roasted on a fire, cornbread and smores......made with brownies,  and chocolate. Num!

Hope your day is filled with the love the Lord has for you.......pray for us as we love on these guys in Jesus Name please.

Hugs,

Linda
