Country Bumpkins In!!!!!

Hi again sweet ladies,

My sweet friend Suzanne took me to this wonderful shop in Wichita. Just had to share with those of you who might live close or those who are maybe driving through! The antique shop is called Country Bumpkins 3543 E. Douglas Ave. Wichita, Ks 67218 (316) 612 2512 here is there facebook link . I remember going to this same shop years back when it was called Country Ritz. Suzanne took me there last week......we were able to walk around the outside only,  because it was closed.  I saw some bed springs.......I had been looking for some for some time......you know a Pinterest idea! Soooooo......I called the shop the next day to see if I could purchase them! I have to say...... when Cyndi answered on the other end we had a "friendship" immediately!!!!!! We had such a sweet time getting to know each other. You know how that is......like you have known each other forever! She loves the Lord and that made the talk even sweeter! We made arrangements for my friend Susanne to pick the springs up.... since I didn't know when the next time would be that I could come back to Wichita.

Suzanne took a pic for me of some of the bed springs on the little shelf she made on her old door. Isn't the door neat? So excited about finally finding some springs! I will show later what I will be doing with them!

Well, a week later we left the farm......on a very cloudy rainy day to go to work on our Tressa's truck.....it is broken down....sad. After we got done working on it we thought we should just go on to Wichita to Suzannes to pick up my bed springs!
First we made a stop at Country Bumpkin's.

When you get out of your car you have to go up some stairs.
There are lots of antiques outside right in front all around the outside of the shop!

Front door!

I walked in and and really liked what I saw. Antiques!!!!!!! Here is a sweet picture of Cyndi!!!!! She is such a sweetie! You will love her, if you haven't met her already! She has such joy!!!!!! She has also joined the rest of the Prairie Flower Farmgirls here and on book!

Meet Cyndi's

Look at the beautiful stuff!!! See the stools straight back and on the top? See the big window frame right under the stools? The little cupboard that is a green to the left of the pic is really nice!!!!!

Liked all the shelves and cupboards.

See this table........Tressa liked it a whole lot!!!!!!! Think it had something to do with the color of the base. I liked all their chairs that were throughout the store.

Cyndi had an Americana room. Notice the mirror on the top right corner.......like.....a lot!

Look at all the colors of Milk Paint.

Some more colors of Milk Paint. I so want to try some out on some of my old antique boxes.

There were a lot more rooms at her shop......Suzanne and Tressa and I had such a fun time there.

Hope you enjoyed seeing all the pictures. If you go to Country Bumpkins......tell them Linda sent you. Cyndi is a sweetie!

Hugs and God bless you......

Linda

  1. That shop is full of treasures, and I must admit, I had not heard of milk paint before. The things I learn while reading blogs!
