Hugs to your Day!

Hello sweet ladies from the farm!

It sure has been a busy summer for myself and family! Everyday is an adventure. We have the soybeans planted....and now we need rain.......like real bad! We keep praying for the soybeans though......God has always met our needs and we can trust Him. I din't want to ask the Lord for rain because everyone was still bringing in their wheat.......they are finished it looks like......time for rain!!!!!!!

We have had lots of babies hatched here on the farm........love the Momma duck and her little ones. I thought we had 10, but we only have 9. My counting was off......but they are pitch black and they can move so so fast while I count!

Went with my sweet farmer to get some straw yesterday.........I love it when we can spread more on the garden.

The garden is doing well. Our tomatoes are still growing.......we should have a bountiful crop..... which will be canned for soups during the winter months!!!! Last night we spread more straw down......I always think it looks so pretty!

Well I will be doing a lot of different things today......but one thing for sure....... I will be in my garden laying more straw!

Hope you have a sweet day.......I am praying for you!

Linda

  3. I pray you get the rain you need. We just came off a 16-day run of rain, fortunately it wasn't non-stop. Now we are headed into a week of 90 degree days. It's perfect for drying clothes, but I can't think of much else. It won't take long for all that rain to dry up and we'll be praying for more.
I found tomatoes starting to ripen in my garden; picked and shelled peas this week; getting excited about zucchini; cabbage needs dusted, the caterpillars are having a feast :)
Have a blessed weekend. So enjoy reading your blogs.

  4. I wish we could send some of our rain your way. We've had more than we need right now. Like EJ, this coming week will be in the high 90's and probably dryer weather. We need to get some hay cut and baled. So as we pray for dry weather on the east coast, I'll be praying for rain in Kansas.

Our cat had six kittens this week... three born without tails! Amazing! I've never seen that before.
