Have A Good Day!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Sweet Ladies!

When you walk into the Potter's Shed in the morning, the sunshines just right on the door to our silo. It is a beautiful site to me. The sun reminds me of God's provisions, like rain, sun and warmth. It helps my garden..... grow.  Just one more of the millions of things I am thankful for. I don't have to think things just happened. To know I can believe the Bible and what it teaches gives me a sense of belonging to God. Relationship is a perfect word for what I goes on. Believing truth is essential for me.

Every Word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in HIM. Proverbs 30:5

It makes me think of what we are trying to teach Vitaliy. That isn't always easy, but this morning it was kind of funny. I was trying to help V on the computer and couldn't figure it out. So Tressy stepped in and did it real fast! Then I said that Tressy knows how to do a lot of stuff I don't know how to do. I left the room and V looked at Tressy and said, "Dat is true!" Haha! Made us all think he is getting some "truth" right!

Today is so so busy. Have a house full of my grand kids. Just wanted to say hello.....I will post more tomorrow......know that you have been thought of.......by me.....but mostly Jesus!

Little Denali is doing wonderful......getting to know his new family........

this is part of the imprinting you can do so you have a better horse as you are training. If you gently hold your colt down and touch her all over, she will be a calmer baby. It is an authority thing, you are the boss! Also you breathe into her nose and she breathes your human smell. That is bonding to the baby. It is amazing. We have done it with all our babies. Now the bigger ones come up to us and the first thing they do is smell our face and nose. Precious thing.

Welcome to all the new followers......you have been sooooo
noticed........by me!

I found this on Pinterest..........you can go to my Garden and Farm Life  and look it up. I just bought two of these adirondack chairs. This is what my plans are for the two of them. CUTE!

Hugs from my farm..........you will find me in the Garden, Ellie will be in the stall shoveling.......learning more about being a horsewoman! Farming teaches children to work and the "God Chatter" that goes with it is priceless!

Part 2 On Denali's First Day With Us!

Good evening sweet ladies,

Thank you for coming to my blog and being a part of Denali's life. I love reading your comments. I can tell that you love him like we do. I can't imagine not living on a farm. I have lived in the country except when I was real little. When I was young I homesteaded with my parents, sister and brother in Juneau, Alaska. It was out where hardly anyone lived, right under a mountain and a creek behind our house. We homesteaded 48 acres. When you had a homestead you had to raise livestock and chickens. We had a big incubator (wish I had it now) and incubated chickens, ducks and geese. Guess that gave me my love for the chickens and ducks. My grandparents didn't live far from our home.........just through the woods which I walked almost everyday after school.  They had lots of horses, so in order to ride I would have to clean out the stalls before I could ride......worked for me!!!! We also had our own horse named Sundown, he was a beautiful Palomino stallion. I am thankful to the Lord that He has given us our horses, not only for us to enjoy, but now for so many of you. Thank you for making this extra fun for us here at Prairie Flower Farm.

Part 2:

Once Denali got up and started to get his bearings, he was so curious about us. That was precious!

It was amazing. We were all sitting down in a row......he first came to Tay, myself, Ellie (his new human Momma) and Tressa. We couldn't believe it. Truly a gift from God!!!!!! He was all wobbly but that was half the fun on watching him.

Just as Denali was finishing smelling each of us, Momma came and gave him a nudge from behind. Our main thing was to make sure that Denali would nurse. Every time he tried to nurse, Juneau would make this funny squeal noise and not let him. It was finally time for us to go to work. Ellie and Tay stayed home to make sure things went well.

By morning Denali was all dry and so precious! By this time baby and momma are doing better on the nursing.

Here is is a video that Taylor sent me while I was at work........TALK ABOUT PRECIOUS! I was a nursing Momma.....through and through. I loved it. It was my favorite thing when I had my babies. I would sit for ever just looking into their sweet faces. Couldn't help it.......I let the house go! Just give me my baby! Anyway all that said.......I love it when animals nurse also. I marvel at the way the Lord provided all our needs as mothers to care for our children! Tay wanted me to know that things were going well. It blessed my heart!

If you click on this picture you can see his soft coat.

Denali spends a lot of time resting and loves the sunshine.

We love this little guy! He has added to our farm. I am getting the itching to have my own baby........we will see.

It is time for me to get some rest.......only one more day and I will be home. Have so much planned for the weekend. I will write about the imprinting that we do with our horses.

You have all made this time with Denali real special for us, as we read your comments. Also welcome to all the new followers.......you are so welcome here!

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. Philippians 1:3.

Blessings to your day,

Linda

Everybody Is Tired...Me...Denali...Juneau....and the list goes on!

Hello sweet ladies!!!!!!

Oh my......this Momma is so so tired. I want to thank you for all the sweet notes...you blessed my day and I think little Denali blessed yours also by the comments!!!!!!! I have been up since 3:30 AM this morning....at work by 6:30 AM......and would I ever like to go to bed. But I am so excited to show you some of the pic's......DENALI IS So So ADORABLE! God is so good.......I marvel at His creation......and He does it so we can see that He is real. Precious God we also have!

This is one of the things that is fun about living on a farm. You can sleep by or in the barn!

On Tuesday and Wednesday our two girls and granddaughter (she is now Denali's human Momma) gathered 22 blankets to spend the night out in the Potter's Shed next to where Juneau was. This morning (Wed.) early we were so thankful they did. Amazing to be able to watch the birth of our new baby horse. Baby did well, but at the end we were a little worried. We prayed under the black sky with a ton of bright stars shining......knowing He was there with us....listening to His children! It was a beautiful night and later He answered!

My sweet man helped wipe Denali down a bit. The wind was blowing and Denali was all wet.... so it helped the process. His little face was in the dirt, so he put a towel under his head. This baby was getting special treatment.

He was born with long long legs and his body was tiny. He was smaller than our Koko. She was our last little filly.....who is a year old. But he was beautiful! Our hearts were all pounding! It was so so exciting to have captured the birth. That is very unusual. A gift and we know it and we thanked Him a lot today!

The two Momma's......very very happy!

The other horses watched from a far. She is a very protective mom and she charges towards the fence to keep the other horses away whenever they get to close.

Baby Denali slept a lot during the day! That was good for him......he worked real hard.

Baby is fine.....nursing well and Momma is a good momma. Love having Denali here on the farm.......walking out to the stall is a little more exciting!

I will share a few more pic's tomorrow of the imprinting we did with Denali!

Three little Black Cochins

As I am typing, off in the corner there are 3 hatched baby chicks and........(okay prepare your brain!!!!!!!!!)....

a little one is trying to get out of the egg. I just had to show you what I saw when I opened the incubator to see how it was doing. I know it looks a little weird.....but this is farm life in the raw.

Someone asked me if there are any cats having kittens (smile).......going on now? No that was done about 3 weeks ago. 14 to be exact on the farm! Life is good.........babies are welcome here!

Today we had over a 1000 people at my blog.....I knew that Gooseberry was up to something.

WELCOME NEW FOLLOWERS........YOU HAVE BEEN SO NOTICED.......BY ME! You will love all the other followers that are a part of Prairie Flower Farm! They are my favorite people!

Hugs sweet ladies and know that you are prayed for!

Linda

P.S. this was sent to me this evening so we could pray!

BABY ON THE GROUND!!!!!! PRAISING GOD!

Good morning SWEET LADIES!!!!!!!
I was awaken this morning around 3:30 . WATER BROKE! Mad dash out to the corral. Just in time TO SEE THE WHOLE BIRTH!!!! The most incredible gift to watch happen right before your eyes. Such a precious precious thing!

I have some incredible pictures that I will put up tonight, but wanted you see the new addition to Prairie Flower Farm.........we are in love. We think it is a boy, but a little hard to tell. 4 white socks........blaze down the front of it's face.........BEAUTIFUL and loves people!!! It was sucking on Juneau's lips. PRECIOUS and a miracle!!!!!! I even got a video, but again not sure how it turned out.

Momma Juneau talkin to her baby. The baby is completely out. The most precious thing to watch ladies!!!!!

Trying to walk.

Momma and baby resting.

Baby up for the first time!

I have to get ready for work, but will try to write on break. Ladies thank you so much for the prayers. Please pray that the baby will nurse.

We have them both in the stall so it is nice and quiet. All the other horses are standing around the outside of the corral behind the fence..........so curious. Fun to watch.

Love you all, wish you could have been there, but I did take pic's thinking of you all!

God has blessed us today............we are thanking Him......He knows just how thankful we are!!!!!!!

Still WAITING!!!!!!!

Hello Sweet Ladies,

Thank you for all the fun messages and emails on how you found Prairie Flower Farm!!!!!!! Very fun to read and thank you for all the sweetness! I always love meeting you a little bit better. I am hoping for a little celebration soon!

All day was hard away from the farm and working at the college. Tressa our oldest daughter kept us posted as to what was going on with Juneau so that was wonderful. Our boss said that if Juneau had it while we were at work we could go home. Now that was sweet. She didn't though.........this is what I came home to.

This is our almost 14 year old granddaughter, Ellie (who will be the recipient of the baby colt) all comfy sitting in the Potter's Shed waiting for Juneau to have her baby. She lost her older horse last year and so this baby will be hers. Essential for waiting for a horse to have her baby! Good book, CHRISTian music, sunshine, light wind, pillow and sleeping bag! A perfect afternoon!

I had to leave to go over to my friend's farm to buy some grain for Willow, Twig and Leaf. She is the one I bought my sheep from. Yeah......I finished paying them off! They are all mine now. She is so sweet to share the costs on the feed, that they buy in bulk. It does help!

Anyway while I was there she was telling me about this first time Momma goat who had 4 babies during the storm we had last weekend. I said my ladies will love seeing them. Here they are trying to nurse........aren't they so tiny? They were about 10"-12" high. Tinniest goats I have ever seen.

Also tonight the little chick that was starting to peep out of the egg last night, was still not out of the shell when I got home.......so I had to help it. If you do that.... you have to be very very careful. It was getting to long for the little guy. As soon as I gently took some more of the shell off, it pushed it's way out. Here is how it looks now. Pretty pitiful looking thing don't you think?

I have to show you what I got in my email today.........I love it when ladies send me pic's of the items they make from something I have designed. I have to share. This is my Winter All Year Long Quilt pattern. Free for download on my sidebar!!!!!! Sigrid from, Germany and who's blog is Sigisart Patchwork, Quilting She made my quilt pattern up. Beautiful work!!!!!!!! Just had to show you and Sigrid......thank you for taking the time to let me see. It blesses my heart! God has been good to give me the gift to design what I see in my heart!

Well my body is tired and I better get some sleep, if I am going to maybe have to get up in the middle of the night to watch Juneau. I put this pic up of her on facebook ........she is such a pretty girl!

You ladies ARE ALL SO PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!!! God has blessed me so........and YOU ALL ARE SWEETIES!

Please keep writing on how you started following
Prairie Flower Farm! Please?

Hugs to your day!!!!!!!!!!

Linda
P.S.

Can't wait to watch what He does best........like change us into His image know mater the circumstances.....we can trust HIM to keep us in His clinched fist!!!!!! 1000 Followers.....Prairie Flower Farm FAMILY!

Hello sweet ladies,

YOU DID IT........ALL OF YOU TOGETHER!
WE ARE A FAMILY OF 1000!!!!!!!!

Can't believe it! We have come a long way in 3 years, lots of laughter and tears and tons of prayers have gone up to the Lord. Thank you for being a part of my life......sweetness is what you all are.

I started my blog March 30th 2009 you can go HERE

This was what I prayed on my very first post.

Heavenly Father, as I come into Your presence I first want You to know that I want to serve You all the days of my life. I know that without You life for me would just not matter. You have been my rock when I just didn’t think I could handle life. You have been a light unto my path, when I needed direction for the next step. You have been my JOY when I was able to see Your finger prints all over the circumstances that needed healing. You have been my deliverer when I couldn’t see an escape. You have touched my life, my family and Father for that I call You Faithful. Thank You for holding me in the palm of Your clenched fist hand and for not ever letting me go. You are truly my God and I choose to serve You with Your help living out my days. Some say You are a crutch, I choose to believe that You are my Savior. I ask that in my writings that others will see Your presence in the words and will hold on to You. May they be encouraged and if they have not accepted Your gift, I trust today will be the day. I am a grateful woman that has been seasoned by life. Thank You for never leaving me. In Jesus name Amen.

My prayer has not changed.......the only thing, is that You have come and I have changed me, by their words of encouragement. We can pray more in numbers. I truly call you all my Prairie Flower Family and I know that all I have to do is write when someone is in need of prayer and you will do just that! I never even thought in my wildest dreams, that anyone would even come and read my blog except for friends and family. God knows who's paths needed to cross and He has done it here. Precious!!!!!!

This was the second post I put up and this picture. I waited for 13 days I think, before I put another post up. Funny that I have been hatching baby chicks about the same time...some things just never change.

I will be planning a party.......soon. I am asking the Lord to give me some direction. I want it unique and fun......so please pray for me.

We are waiting for our baby to be born.......hopefully tonight. Juneau has dropped way low on her tummy. Our girls and our grand daughter will be sleeping in the Potter's Shed close to Juneau's stall. Only 47 degrees. Sweet man and I will sleep in our bed......the girls will wake us if she is having the baby. Soooooo soooo excited!

Tonight when I got home and sat down at the computer to put up info about Juneau, I heard this peep peep. I ran over to check on the chick eggs in the incubator. Nothing......I couldn't find a thing. Then I came back in to the house after checking on Juneau again later on......look at what I found. It is still peeping away! Sweetness. Our farm is just popping with babies!

Now I have a favor. Would you please just leave me a comment if you are a follower of PFFarm? Maybe how you found us would be fun to tell or you can just say hello and that will do. I want to see if we can get a bunch of ladies either on the comment or you can email me at prairieflowerfarm@gmail.com and I will put it up for you on the comment.  Put "Follower" in the email. Now..... if you aren't a follower....maybe you would like to sign up, only if you would like.

I have to get the girls some things ready to take out to the Potter's Shed....so they can check on Juneau all night long..........trusting some exciting things are going to happen!!!!! Please pray that Juneau will not have any complications. Thank you!

Love you all bunches,

Linda

What A Nice Day On The Farm.......and The Winners Please!

Hello........sweet ladies,

This is what we found when we drove up the lane. Not fun!!!!!   We have other tree limbs down around the farm.....they will be worked on later. So thankful it wasn't worse.

I hurried when I got home and jumped out of the car to go and check on the baby chicks and Cochins down in the milk house........to see if everyone was okay.........look at the girlies. They were in the nest on Saturday together when we left. Love em!!!!!!! The roosters and girls were all going a little crazy before we left on Sat. I think they sensed something was going on with the weather. They were running in an out of the nest boxes that were not being used.....like they were hiding or something. I have another girly that is broody right now also. Hoping to put the eggs in the incubator under her if she stays on the next all day on Monday.

"Two are better than one" I know the Lord was writing to us, but  the verse did come to mind. Usually a Momma who is sitting on a nest will not share.  My girls are sweet!

Off to go and check on Juneau, our Momma horse who any day now is going to have her baby........NO baby! Oh man were we sad. We thought the storm would get her going. We will wait. She knows when it is time and we don't! Our granddaughter is trying to come up with a name. She asked for some Alaska towns. Thought that was neat. I gave her some. She will know when she sees her baby what to name it!

What a last two days we have had! I am glad to be home tonight (writing this on Sunday evening)!  Thank you again so much for your prayers, you are such sweeties. Found out today there were 97  reports of tornados in Kansas. Thankful no deaths.
