Hugs to your SONday!

Good morning.......sweet ladies,

Hope your day is a relaxed and sweet one! The weather is going to be in the 60's, which is a wonderful day for November!!!!!! Can't believe it. Also today we have rain in the forecast......another blessing! Our crops are needing a drink real bad!

I love having family together at Thanksgiving. So thankful we are off this week to get ready. I will have all this week off work to do a lot of decorating.  I will start by doing our front porch......

this is what it will look like. I did it a few years back......like to change each year, but I will do this again. I like using a white theme with a little bit of red! My favorite holiday of all is ......CHRISTmas Thyme. Can't wait......I love every thing about it! Getting ready......decorating our home......our farm........stitching gifts.......giving........entertaining.......and most of all sharing the story of CHRIST'S Birth! My favorite item to use is CHRISTmas lights.......lots of them! Do you do anything special or maybe a tradition you always do? Do you travel or stay home?

Yesterday was a very very special day! I will post about it on Monday.......plus I will be having a little "Vacation Party Giveaway"!!!! I showed the ladies that came to the "Back to Basics" yesterday on how to decorate a mason jar. I will show a tutorial on how I did it and then I will also have a giveaway for "one"!!!!! Sooooo hope your day is sweet and restful!

Does anyone know of anything that we can do for a family or families that are on the east coast and have been affected by Sandy.......please let me know and maybe we could do something!!!! I don't have news other then local on my tv.....it seems like it isn't talked about.....at all!

Hugs to you and may the Lord bless Your SONday,

Linda

P.S. I know that everyone has hurts in their family.......I do also. Our son who had his truck stolen some weeks back has been going through the fire. The truck is gone!!!!!!! Probably been striped and sold or shipped off. They didn't even put a detective on it. You have to have a suspect. Very strange! When it rains it pours. He has been ill.....his children have been also. It has been really tough without going into detail. Please pray for health and a some peace! It would be so appreciated!

The Big Hunt! A Gift!

Hello sweet ladies,

This was a pic taken by our youngest son. He was sitting in a tree stand waiting for a buck......God showed Jarad His masterpiece! Nothing like being out in the open air early in the morning. The bird's sing and the sight and sounds are breathe taking.  I love how the trees are silhouetted in the background.

Soon after 8 we got a phone call from our middle son Josh that he had shot a buck in another field. He was down at the lease and asked for us to hurry and come see. It is one of families favorite things to get to be a part of the boy's hunts.

He was a beauty and huge. A good day for our son!

Time to clean it! That's when I just went back to the house!

I had things  I needed to work on for a party at my daughter in love's and son's home. She is calling it "Back to Basics". She will also be showing some Nancy Campbell Above Rubies, videos on Motherhood. Please be praying for the women that will be there. Thank you!!!!!!!

Our first day of vacation was wonderful! I am so grateful for the time off. We would have missed out on Josh's big buck if we would have been at work. God was good to us! We appreciated it!

Hugs to your day! Just know that you are so so special.......
Jesus thinks so.......so do I!

Pumpkin Fluff Dessert Dip........NUM!

Hello sweet ladies,

Today is like a Friday for myself and family! We will start our vacation this afternoon. The part I like the best is that it will give me time in getting ready for Thanksgiving! Can't wait! We will be cleaning up in the bakery before we leave work so today will be a very busy day! Yesterday we fixed a huge dinner for all the college kids......they loved it and were so thankful.

The other day the school nurse at the college brought this recipe in for everyone to taste at the kitchen. It was so good, but I never got the recipe. Last night I found it on Pinterest!!!!!!! Here is where you can find it.  This weekend my daughter in love is going to have a "Back to Basic's get together" at her home with some ladies, we will be having breaks during the day so I thought this recipe would be perfect. I will be using Honey Maid Cinnamon Sticks for dipping along with apples. I am so blessed to have a daughter in love that loves to the Lord. She invited young, middle age and older woman into her home so each could encourage one another in the Lord. We will be listening to videos from Nancy Campbell, Above Rubies , though out the day.

We will also have lunch together. I will be making up homemade pita bread, stuffed with leafy lettuce and chicken salad (with large purple grapes, yum). Here is the Recipe. I did a tutorial on how to make it.......it is really easy to make!

We will be spending time learning ways that we can cut costs in our homes. I will be showing how to make homemade applesauce, grind whole wheat using a wheat grinder and also how to decorate a mason jar into a candle for the holidays. I will put up a tutorial on how to do that. It is going to be a special day to start out our vacation. Please keep us in prayer on Saturday.... if you wouldn't mind.

Also wanted to report that my sister Shannon went to see the cardiologist, yesterday and was very encouraged. She and my brother in love were blessed! Thank you so much for praying. The doctor would like for her to go to Denver to see another doctor that  happens to be the best in the US. Only the Lord could do that! Again......we are so thankful to each one of you who lifted them up! God heard and we are so grateful for each one of you!

Well........hugs to your day! We will be having a party while I am off!!!!!!!!

The Heavens Declare The Glory Of God!

Hello sweet ladies,

Look what the Lord gave us this evening! It was even more red than this pic is showing. My sweet man came in the house to get me so I wouldn't miss it. I am so glad he did. The weather was really crisp out, but he bundled me up in his hunting coat! Everywhere you looked in the sky it was beautiful!  One thing missing! YOU ALL!

It was a very busy day today in the bakery. My Tressa and I baked 20 pumpkin pies and 20 pecan pies. I wish I would have taken a picture! I was way to busy. Maybe I can take one tomorrow. We didn't have to make up the crust.......I don't like store bought crust....but today it was a blessing! We will be celebrating Thanksgiving with the college kids tomorrow. We will serve turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, two vegetables, fresh cranberry sauce and pies. They enjoy it so much each year and are so appreciative to all the staff.

I found this on Pinterest.....when I am off on vacation I want to try it. Looks so pretty don't you think? I will use fall berries in throughout the burlap. When I get it finished I will show you. Here is where the tutorial is.....HERE

Will you celebrate Thanksgiving at your home or do you have to travel? We have had Thanksgiving on this farm forever! The farm has been in my sweet man's family for 150 years. So thankful for memories and traditions!

As you think as you family is getting ready for this Thanksgiving......think of the freedoms  the Lord has blessed us with in our country. Please pray He would continue to protect those freedoms. Our family has great concerns on the direction we are going!

I am writing this post on Tuesday night.

Hugs, sleep tight and God bless you!

SONday!!!

Hello sweet ladies,

Last night the wind blew furiously and at different times the rain came down very hard. I was thankful I had a warm house to be in.  I know must be cold for so many that were affected by Sandy....makes me so sad I can't be out there helping. Keep praying ladies......we can't forget them.

What a precious day we had yesterday. Our friends were coming out around noon to eat with us and he was going to work on the well. My girls and I cooked up a big pot of chili using my soup base that I can each summer and fall. I also still have onions in the garden so that was added. It comes in so handy just grabbing the soup base for all kinds of soups. I also made up two loaves of bread and she brought corn bread. It was such a windy day so the chili hit the spot. Crystal and I sat in the house and talked...about the Lord and what we were learning, it was a special day for sure. They have a young little boy about 3 so that made life even sweeter.

He loved watching the baby chicks. They are all getting their wing feathers. Looks so cute!

The men worked for about 4 hours on the well. We got water, but they will try again to get the pump down a little deeper. Hank has done this kind of work for 20 years..... so Phil and Vitaliy learned alot. God is good. I am amazed at how he provides our needs.

Hope you are all enjoying your SONday! We are......we had to stay home this morning. We watched this video of Mark Driscoll on Esther click here we watched part one. We will watch the rest.....for such a time as this!  If you have time you might want to watch also. I think it has some wonderful helps for those who love the Lord.....and having to live in a culture that has turned it's back on the commandments of the Lord. We went to the Crisis Pregnancy dinner and learned that 53 million babies have been killed because of abortion. Why are so many babies gone.....that is unreal to me. I know that children are learning so much in the schools that is contradictory to the Word of God and it is having it's toll on our land and homes. It breaks my heart to see.....but I can put my trust in Him alone and not loose heart and still do what He has called me to do. I encourage you ladies to do the same. It does make a difference.

Hugs to your day!!!!!!!! I will work only 4 days this next week and then I get to be home for 10 days!!!!!!! Think we need a party!

Hope you have a sweet DAY!!!

Good morning........

the sun is up.......it is going to be a windy day ahead of us. We will be having friends come out and help us with a water well out at our windmill. We are hoping we can reach water, it would help us a lot during the winter months in getting water to our horses......and it would help with our garden.

I had hoped to get a post up......but time did not permit it again. I hope to have time this evening! This is just a little one!

Here is a picture of my little fluffs! They are so precious and have brought me much joy as I sit by my sewing machine and them right beside me.

Hugs to your Day!!!!!!

Trust..Him!

Hello sweet ladies.....

I have not had anytime to post! Busy busy, but that does not mean I have not thought of you all!

Today in the bakery I found a fun easy recipe from My Favorite Things, called Hummingbird Bakery New York Style Cheesecake Cupcakes. REcipe, Click Here I made it for evening meal. Really is a pretty cupcake.....and easy! Thought you might like to try.

When I saw this verse this morning on Pinterest it made me wonder. We are seeing a deterioration in our land as many of you have noticed! Everything seems to be what used to be wrong......is now right. Staying close to the Word of God and living by His principals and truth will be so important in the days ahead. Now that the elections have been decided we will keep our eyes on Christ. Even though we are very concerned for our country we will follow Him. We will pray for the President, Mrs. Obama and their precious children. We will also be praying for the President that when he wakes up, he would think about every decision he makes and not only that, but about what the Lord would think of each and everyone of his decisions. He will be held accountable as a leader of our country. That is huge!

Just writing from my heart tonight. It has been a little heavy......but I know who I can trust......that is a comfort and trust it is for you also.

Please continue to pray for the storm on the east coast!

Hugs and God bless you precious ladies,

Linda
