KoKo Is Growing Up So Fast!

Good evening sweet ladies.........thought we were going to get some rain tonight...... so I ran around trying to get some things done with the animals before it did.

Momma and baby

I was sitting out in the hay shed watching Echo and Koko a bit. They were standing in front of me and this is what I saw. Notice the whiskers? I love Koko's. Thought you might like to see how Koko is growing up so fast! She is going to be a big horse Taylor said! They sure look alike don't they?

Not much happenin' tonight.......real peaceful evening. Hope same was for you!

Really enjoyed getting to know everyone on Prairie Flower Facebook tonight a little bit better. Thank you for all who joined in. I think I need to do that more often. Enjoyed allllll the comments!

God Bless and hugs from my farm to your HOME!

It is so nice to have our girl home. We have enjoyed her pictures and her stories. It was different for her..... no dryers to dry their clothes and outhouses at different times (they were something else)....they were something she was definitely not used to!

She found a water pump right on the side walk in Sumy.

She did well and enjoyed her time so much and would have stayed longer if she could have! I thought you might enjoy one of her last posts on her blog........it kind of sums up her time and what the Lord had impressed on her as she was there. Blessed her Daddy and this Momma. I think we all changed big time on Vitaliy's adoption. I know I see things differently now from the stories she has shared and just what I experienced as she was not with us. I truly am so thankful for all the prayers that went up on our families behalf. I was not once scared that she was there. Amazing to me! I thought I would be. Here is a post from one of the last days she was going to be in Kiev.

"A Little Babushka"

Whether it's the orphan without a family, the beggar looking through the dumpster in Sumy. Just looking for food to make it through another day or the sweet little babushka sitting on the steps of a beautiful cathedral with a small cup with a few coins in the bottom. Or the ramshackle houses in the small villages. So many times I have an urge to look away. To close my eyes. Innocence is bliss after all. Or so they say. Every time I have the urge to look away, this song (she had written out the lyrics to a song by Needtobreathe, called Keep Your Eyes Open) comes to mind. So I'm learning to keep my eyes open. I can't always do anything to fix what I see, but I can sure pray. I can smile. Even if they don't smile back.

So keep your eyes open . If you don't, you'll miss out on what God has to show you.
In Him,
Tressa

Tonya, Vitaliy and Tressa

This pic is one when they were leaving to go to Kiev and soon to be coming Home.

Well I think our girl grew closer to her Lord. It is always exciting when a parent can see the baton being handed over. I knew that He would do something special...........we can always count on Him when we pray!

Welcome New Followers!!!!!

Thank you for all the sweetness that was left on the last post. I sooooo appreciate it!

Hugs to your day!

They Are All HOME!

Hello sweet ladies!

I am sitting in MacDonalds writing this post. Today is our first time to babysit for Vitaliy!!!! Josh and Tonya are going to go see Courageous! If you have not seen it.......it is a wonderful movie. Anyway last night when it was late the internet went off. All day it rained and I guess it finally had enough. This morning we checked the internet and and it was off. It rained all through the night and hasn't quit raining..........we prayed........He answered! So grateful! The land needs it so bad. So far 1 1/2" of rain. It is coming down slow and beautiful! The horse corral is having to drain.........everything is wet. It's okay!

I don't have much time but here is our girl......... Tressa on the right and Tay on the left. Tay is so happy to have her sister back in the USA!

Here is the Joshua Stubbs family allllll 5 of them!

We are all so happy we can hardly stand it!!!!!!!! Well some more then others show it! Keep huggin' my new grandson.

We got to have most of the grandkids on the farm yesterday. He was with and had a blast. Had to go into the coop with Grammie to gather the eggs. It was so nice to have him back!

Well this is all the time I have.........thank you so much for being apart of this adventure with!

Scroll down for the party. I had planned the party as a homecoming for Vitaliy. It was a whole week early on the Homecoming, but we are still having the party!

Hugs to your day from this rainy country farm. Took an umbrella and walked in it........WONDERFUL!

Linda

You can write me if you want........I can read it tomorrow at break at  the kitchen........smile!

They Are On A JET PLANE Headed For America!!!!!!!

Hello sweet ladies,

I have to tell you that I am so thankful that our family is on a huge jet plane heading towards America~ What a precious Father we have that has sustained us through this last 6 weeks. V is now a Stubbie forever! Can't believe it. It seems like the time has gone by fast, but I know that is just because it is at the end of the journey. Tressy sounds so grown up and I am sure she has matured much! She has made us laugh as we have heard of their adventures. Tonight they drove 80 mph with a guy they didn't even know.......who didn't speak much English and the girls didn't even know what terminal at the airport they were suppose to be at. Thankful this Momma didn't know this at the time. He asked where they were flying to and the said and he said okay terminal B. They walked in and talked to an attendant. They were in the wrong place it was terminal F. They ran. Then they got in line and V was trying to tell them something. He went to get the iPod and Tonya said, "not right now we are saving it for the airplane." He was trying to use the translator on the iPod, oops. Tressa then made sense that he was saying he was feeling bad because he looked like he was going to pass out or barf. Now remember they are 3 people behind getting their tickets and V takes off for the bathroom. They are watching the doorway and he comes back not as green as when he went in. This is the part that made her sister, daddy and I laugh. She said "prayers would be appreciated. Let's just say if he throws up, Tonya is going to have two people to clean up after!" Meaning herself! Poor Tonya just wants her sweet man and her precious children all in the same house.........TOGETHER! Soon and very soon that will be true.

They will be arriving at the airport at 5:33 Friday afternoon. Taylor thinks she is going to get to hug her sister first.........notta chance!

Love you sweet ladies, the real adventure is just about to begin for the Stubbs family..........can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for all of us..........one thing I know.........He wants V to know Himself, Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.........I can't wait... we will be praying for that day!

If you have a comment for Josh and Tonya......you may leave it in the comments! Thank you for taking this trip with us! It will never be forgotten!

Blessings from our farm,

Linda

A Busy Evening Tonight On the Farm For Me!

Hello sweet ladies,

I have some wonderful news that I have to tell you first. Tressa, Tonya and Vitaliy will be Home on Friday evening. Can't wait. It was first going to be Sunday.......then on Saturday and now on Friday! Our family can't wait to see our Vitaliy and he can't wait to see us! It will be so good to have them all back in America! Just had to tell you. Thank you for praying for their safe travels. You are all so precious.

Yesterday I bought some fresh cut wheat straw from this years cutting from a farmer friend. I have always liked it when I can get straw from the same year it has been cut. It is always such a pretty golden color.

I went and cleaned out the little milk barn and laid fresh straw down.........it makes me feel better.......not sure about the chickens though. When I went into one of the chicken pens I saw that my little momma hen (sorry didn't get a pic of her) had laid her 4th little blue robin colored egg for me. I set the new straw in the laying box and took a pic. The color is just beautiful! I will be saving the eggs after I poke a hole in the end and get the egg out of the inside. Great for a spring decoration.

When I got all the coops bedded down with straw, this is what the Lord gave me. Isn't the sunset beautiful? I am so thankful for Him and His love for me. Whenever I see a night like tonight........it makes me so grateful.

We had a 20% chance of rain for tonight and for the next few nights. 50%  on Saturday and 60% on Sunday. Please join the farmers in prayer......all over the states! We all need rain so so bad. Farmers are planting wheat now and America needs a good crop and stand. The drought is really getting to the farmers and their incomes.

I got a email today from a precious blogger friend. She has just discovered that she has Bell's Palsy.....she needs prayer and I know you ladies know how to do that.....thank you so much! She is such a sweetie and she will be blessed to know you are all praying.

Okay last thing..........we have a few more days for signing up for the you can click here to sign up

Don't forget to sign up, if you would like to enter.

God Bless you all and I will have some pic's of the Homecoming!!!!!!!!!

What a Day!

Hi sweet ladies,

Hello again, I am on break at work and just got an email from Tress that THEY GOT THE PASSPORT!!!!!!!!! YAHOO!!! This Momma is so happy! They are packing up and going to have to go on that HOT mini bus again for 5 hours. So please when you think of them please pray! Our family is coming HOME! Thank you for all that you precious ladies do in prayer for our fam! You are the sweetest!!!!!!!!

What a day..........woke up this morning at 4:30 and just laid in bed not wanting to get up. My sweet man came in at 4:45 and said "the the horses are out." Out the door we went to track them down. We were going to be late to work. We never are....... so I called in and everything was okay. We have the most precious people to work with! That really started off the day in a mad dash though. We got them all safe and sound in the corral. Must have been something that spooked them last night.

When I got home after work I noticed that Shelby had only one baby chick with her. My heart sank. I was so afraid a cat would get them to begin with and now it looked like something had. I looked all around and didn't find the other two. A little later my sweet man came to me and said.........."get the camera!" I knew that he had found something good.

Well Miss Shelby..........who might you have 5 feet high up in the tree with you, outside the kitchen window (her favorite place to roost)?" Since she has had her babies I was not sure where she was sleeping at night.

Out popped a little head. Do you see the baby? She is standing on the branch under her Momma under her feathers. LOVEEEEEEE IT!!!!! Farm life at it's best. I do not know how that baby got up that high in the tree, but there it was.

Here the baby is again. You can click on the pictures and see the baby a lot better if you would like. So so sweet.

Hope you liked. I was amazed that the baby chick sleeps in a tree, have you ever seen that before?

Just another reminder.......the Create and Decorate/Prairie Flower Farm party is still going on. If you have not signed up, please don't forget to do so if you would like. Scroll down to the last post and please sign up.

Love all the fall decor found on Pinterest these days!
This is one of my favorites!

Cooler days are here for sure........ can you feel them? Enjoying it immensely!!!! Windows wide open, sleeping under cotton sheets and a nice big quilt over the top!

Cool weather.......my favorite time of year.

Welcome new followers........you have been sooooo noticed........by me!

Create & Decorate Party/Prairie Flower Farm Party

Hi All You Sweet Ladies,

It is so cold outside..........couldn't believe the sweet fresh smelling air coming through my sunshiny window this morning when I woke up. I got to sleep in!!!!!!!!! SO NICE! My bones needed it! Running around all day in the kitchen makes one tired and sore by the end of the week. So today I have a surprise. I am so excited to tell you about it, but first are any of you thinking about your CHRISTmas gifts? Do you realize it is the first day of October? I have been adding new ideas to my PINTEREST (on my sidebar) for sometime.  I need to start thinking seriously about what I am going to be stitching up for my sweet family this year and that takes some doing! CHRISTmas is my favorite time of year. I love thinking about my Savior coming as a sweet little baby to save those who want to put their trust in HIM and I love giving. It is one of my favorite thing to do and that is why I like having parties! I can't wait to show you..............

I got my new Create & Decorate in the mail last week and guess what.........I AM IN IT! I am so excited to share it with you all! I received two and so two will be what I am giving away! This party I will give you some more chances to let you have more votes. If you only want to do one don't feel any pressure to do more. Some girls just like to have more chances.

Here is what I designed for Create & Decorate magazine. Little wool mittens with covered buttons made into snowman heads, grungy little snowflakes..........and a pattern for an easy mitten to make! I have made these for each family member with a paper rolled up/tied with a ribbon and put it into the mitten. The paper signed with everyones signature written on it. A keepsake for sure!

So what are we celebrating..............TRESSA, TONYA AND V should be "LORD Willing" COMING HOME in a week. Now that is something to celebrate wouldn't you say?
So let the Party Begin!!!!!!!

WE will have two winners
The party will start today and end Sat. at noon central time October 15th!!!!!!!!! Hopefully that will be the HOMECOMING day!!!!!

There will be two that will receive

One Create & Decorate Magazine
and one hand stitched Wool Mitten
