WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE?

WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE ALSO Matt. 6:21

Today I had two young ladies in my home that lost their precious momma three years ago this last Sat to cancer. The girls are 19 and 14. They were with us yesterday and all day today to help celebrate Tressa's birthday. Our daughter Taylor came to me and asked if she could fix a surprise dinner for both the older girls and I of course said yes. She wanted to use the new red dishes, and 4 red goblets (that we bought on sale for special dinners just for the four of us). She also asked for the red linen table cloth, that we use at Christmas time. I had to go help with the last of our son's soybeans, so I was gone while she was cooking. When I got home she was just getting ready to serve the girls and she said "Now momma the kitchen is a mess, but I will clean it up after we eat". I went into our little barn and saw the table with candles, the table was set so beautiful with red and cream checked homespun fabric napkins. She had made Alfredo/Chicken Pasta and french bread. I thought to my self. Here are two young girls thinking of serving their big sisters. All day today I have been meditating on Where your treasure is their will be your heart also. Right before that Jesus is teaching on money. "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO.I am sure if their momma could see (from heaven) her youngest daughter storing up treasures in heaven, she would be very proud. I am sure that was a prayer of her momma's many times before she died. It was answered today. I was blessed for sure to watch the girls working around in my little farm kitchen. But my heart has been very heavy though to see two little sweet peas with out their momma.I have had quite a few tears today. I am so grateful for my girls. May I continue to teach them in a way that God will see that I am wanting their treasures to be with HIM! Today I got to love the girls for their momma. I am hoping for many more days to do that. Please lift Emily and Shawna up as they still grieve for their momma. If anyone wants to adopt them for Christmas let me know. I would love to give them a love basket with little love gifts. Thank you.

Okay all that said, we have a winner of the "Old Farmhouse Window Wall Hanging". It is all packed and ready to send!!!!! I just need an address! I'll just need to put a shipping label on and it will come to live at your farm!!!!

  8. Momma Stubbs! I LOVE YOU!!! I had an amazing time yesterday celebrating Tressa's Birthday and being out on the farm today was a blessing. But what made it so special was you precious people who reside there. God touched my heart so much today, in a very real way... a way that I haven't felt for a long time. Tears come to my eyes as I write this because it was as if, after talking with you, God just completely re-adjusted my focus. Something wasn't right... and I couldn't figure out what it is, but now I realize that my entire view of life has been earth-directed lately, instead of Heaven directed. Thanks to my dear Jesus, you guys, and the time we were able to spend in discussion and prayer, I'm feeling free and joyful. The weight of the world doesn't always have to be bringing my shoulders low because JESUS promised to bear my burdens! Thank you for your example and the examples of your entire family. You are precious to me. Momma Stubbs, I really do love you like I love my own dear mother. You have such a joyful spirit about you... just an absolute blessing. It's true that "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also". Shamefully, I was putting my treasure in the world and MY LIFE... instead of placing it in the hands of my dear Savior. Surrender is a beautiful thing. I love you Momma Stubbs. You have no idea how much I was blessed this weekend by you and your family.
