One Day Vacation Party!!!!!

Hello sweet ladies,

Party closed......we will have more!

Well, today is my first day of real vacation!!!!!! So so stinkin' happy! Slept in a little.......that was wonderful! Got up and put on a heavy coat.......it was chipper (my grandma always said that) outside. Had to check on my baby girl Willow......I felt like a real Shepherdess ...smile! I am learning slowly, but it is a very special experience. Her udder is getting firm. Cheryl my farm girlfriend said that when that happens it could be up to 48 hours......so I will wait patiently! Getting exercise going back and forth to her pen.

I walked to the Milk House........opened the door to let them out.....went to check the eggs...... look at what I found!!!!!!!!!! Now My Girlies have never laid a

"Chicky Timer"....... ever!!!!!!

They told me that it is time for a One Day Party here at
Prairie Flower Farm!!!!! If the girls say so.....it is a go.... they loveeeee parties!
They want to give away "their" timer to someone and it could
be you!!!!!.

Okay......now for the vote comment......hmmmmm

why don't you tell us (the Girlies and I), if
you could come to our farm.....what would you like to see or do?

Can't wait to read your comment!!!!!!!!!!!

PARTY ENDS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT CENTRAL TIME

If you don't have a blog you will have to email me  Put "Chicky Timer", in the subject line or if you use Anonymous you need to leave me your email in the comment. I want to be able to get a hold of you!!!!!!

Oh and tomorrow Lord willing I am having a "Review Party for Gooseberry Patch!!!!!! It will be a fun one! How can it not be with one of their Cookbooks!

Praying for your day......that it will be a blessed one.......I keep pinching myself.......it is just so wonderful to be
Home

Have a sweet day!

Hugs and may the Lord bless your day!

Linda

  1. I would go out to the back field, raise my hands and sing praises to our God and King. When we sing certain praise songs here, I close my eyes and I am standing in the wheat fields with my hands lifted up high and spinning around singing as loud as I can. Just to be home...

  2. I would sit on the porch and rockabye your sweetest lap chicken. lol I'm really thinking that is something I could get into. I wonder if they like being read to, because I could do that too. 'Okay, little chicky, I'll read and you turn the pages.' I think we'd get along great! BTW, be sure to stop in for our spring sale on homemade, vegan soaps, on now through March 21. No chicken soaps, however, but maybe I should expand our line. :-)

  3. I would love to just follow you around for a day and enjoy getting to be part of a day on your farm. What sweet fellowship! And I would love to be around your table when you have the college kids over for a meal after church.

  4. A couple of years ago my girls(chickens) and peepers(geese) got out , as they were scared by coyotes and in the morning I had no one. I was so sad, I love them all. We live on an acreage and have had some trouble. If i could come to your farm I would hold puddles and any of your girls that would let me. I would enjoy seeing all of your outdoor ideas and special places. And it would be great fun to sit with your family and visit. God does give us blessing we do not know about. Thank you Binky1233

  10. Linda...this is hat I posted on Facebook..Where I start? First...I'd have to give you (and your family) a big-big hug!! I would love to take a walk around the farm...to see Willow and your other two mamas...to see their babies...then to see the horses..how I'd love to ride one, then to the milk house to gather the egg, like I use to do as a kid! Then off to the Potters shed..where we could have tea or coffee and a little something you might have baked!! We could chat and love on each other, while praising our Lord!

  11. That little chickie timer is adorable Linda! I would love to spend the night, have a bonfire, look at the stars and thank the Lord for all that I had. Look at all the animals and hug the ones that I could. Just enjoy all of the time that I was able to spend with you and your family.

  13. I'd love to see your little cabin and your chicken house! I think you and I could be best friends as we both love to be at home, but must work else where. Although, I am going to retire at the end of this school year. Then I will be doing whatever God has planned for me.♥♫

  14. Willow must be a very very good girl indeed to have her baby during your vacation!

What talented ladies you have! A timer! All we've ever gotten is eggs.

I received a letter a few weeks ago stating that one of my recipes has been accepted for inclusion in the new Christmas Gooseberry Patch cookbook! It was the simplest recipe ever!

Have a great week off. I'm going to visit friends in St. Louis. My Amy is all excited about going to the American Girl store.

Oh, I've got a review of JJ Heller's new CD Loved going live tomorrow. Nice mellow Christian music. There's a giveaway, too.

Do drop in and say hello!

  17. Hm, I think we would start the day nice and early. Bundle up, grab a big mug of coffee and watch the sun rise. Then a good morning walk around to greet all the animals and such. We would wonder around the garden and plan what goes where and talk about how lovely it will be in the summer. We would have a picnic lunch and then a quiet time of prayer and bible study in your cottage. (followed by a nap)
    I can be there tomorrow....:)

  19. I would like to see You! I can tell that you love the Lord.

We also have sheep and they have just lambed. We had 26 but Butterball died in lambing season this year. We bottle fed the babies. We miss Butterball, but we are so glad that her lambs made it!

  21. Honestly it's my birthday today and it was pretty depressing. I feel so alone today. I believe spending time with you, yours and your farm animals and your love and faith in our Lord would lift me up and cover me with love and support that I need right now. Your blog posts always seem to have a way to weave into what I am going through at that moment. I can't tell you how much it means to me and how much our Lord God is speaking through your words to me. Thank you so much. Love and peace always.......Mary M.j....ciao4now64 at yahoo dot com.
